    The entrance to the "dungeon."
    Brent L.

This is kind of weird. It's an adult comedy club located in the basement of a kids restaurant (the Magic Time Machine). The comedy club in the basement isn't associated with the Magic Time Machine, so don't expect any of the MTM staff on the ground level to be able to answer any questions about drink service, cover charge, etc. All they can do is point you toward the dungeon door, er, I mean basement door. There's a $10 cover charge. You can purchase tickets online ahead of time, but no one checks your tickets when you walk in. I asked several people who to give my ticket to, but no one seemed to know what was going on, so I just strolled in and grabbed a seat at one of the 20 or so hotel conference room style chairs (no tables for your drinks). Speaking of drinks - they get an extra star because they don't have an overpriced two drink minimum like most comedy clubs do. There's no drink service down in the basement, so you have to go upstairs to get your drinks, but that's ok. I don't see myself coming back here. The last two acts were "OK" but the rest of the evening was just mediocre.

    Packed house!

They truly made the experience memorable, and I would highly recommend seeing them. Unfortunately, the venue was experiencing air conditioning issues during a Texas summer. Handing out small paper fans wasn't enough to keep the audience comfortable in the heat. Because I was trying to stay hydrated, I ended up missing a large portion of the concert with multiple restroom breaks. It's disappointing that attendees weren't notified of the air conditioning issue beforehand or given the opportunity to reschedule. Knowing the conditions in advance would have allowed guests to make an informed decision. I would absolutely recommend the Candlelight Concert series because the musicians are exceptional. However, I would encourage attending at a different venue where the audience can comfortably enjoy the performance from beginning to end.

The only issue that I had and it might be more of a pet peeve is that they did not check tickets. The woman at the front was very friendly and said we looked trustworthy or something along those lines. The reason why this is a pet peeve is that I have run into issues with this before. It was not at this theatre but another. Someone else was already in the seats that I paid for. I decided not to make a big deal of it and sat somewhere else. At the end of the show, I could hear someone taking about how good the show was and how they couldn't believe it was free. This did not happen at this theatre but it could if they continue with not checking tickets. I recommend this place for good plays and good drinks.

I'm a Regal Unlimited member, and I live in Houston, but when visiting San Antonio for a week I…read morewanted to check out a nearby Regal theater The theater is massive, but it has significantly less auditoriums than the theaters in Houston. It looks like they are mid-renovation. Much of the interior is either outdated or under construction. On the ground level there are a couple kiosks to purchase your ticket and a ticket taker employee before you get on the long and steep escalator. At the top of the escalator you have a hallway of theaters. There is a concessions area, but I had to ask an attendant at the top of the escalator where the concessions was. It was located on the other side of the wall (of the hallway). The concessions is fairly small in size, but they offer most all of the typical Regal treats The staff were helpful and professional. And it's not a bad movie going experience. I think I was just put off by the construction and the confusing layout. There wasn't a usable escalator to get back to ground level and I had to use an elevator (I only saw one), and this felt like a fire hazard, but there must have been stairs somewhere Some tips: Join regal rewards to earn points with every purchase. I am also a huge advocate of the Regal Unlimited Pass. If you're a frequent movie-goer like I am you can see virtually unlimited movies and you get a discount on concessions Cheers!

We were the only people in the place. They didnt start rolling the comercials until we were seated at 12:10. After 15 minutes I asked the manager if we could transfer to a movie already in progress. None of the other projectors were turned on. The only way we could watch the movie was to sit thru 35 min of comercials. This cinema doesnt treat you as a customer... they treat you like a product to sell advertising. We had to be at the airport at 4.... we couldnt see the movie and the comercials. We asked for a refund... they were so unpleasant we gave up... no movie... no refund. Worst experiance ever.

But they have a caller named Manny that is impossible for him to start anything on time if the start time for the early bird at 5:30. We're lucky if starts at 5:45 and then he goes outside to smoke a cigarette. Or, then he strolls back in and we're lucky if he doesn't stop to talk to somebody then he gets up on the stand like nothing happens and starts.. A lot of people when they find out that he's calling they'll leave. I like as a person but as a caller he's the worst that I've ever seen. He is also constantly calling the wrong numbers.

A number is called and the computer finds it on all of your 66 cards and marks it. All you have to do is pay attention and tell out if you hit a bingo. A session is just about an hour. Four games are played within that hour. A morning session and an afternoon session. If you played both sessions, you'd start about 11:30am and be done by 2:30pm. Cheap entertainment. Doors open at 9-9:30. Why, I don't know. First session starts at 11:30am. Early bird about 11:20am. In between the main bingo games, they have runners trying to sell you smaller quick games for $1 and up, depending on the game. Not bingo per se, but little games for cash or computers. Hard to explain. But the people eat them up. I bought a $1 game. Two rows of numbers hit one from each column, you win $125. Would be a great return. Fun. Only the concession stand was not open, but it did look like people brought their own snacks and drinks.
