Blinds to go tried to make things right and gave me a 5% credit. They also said they would meet anyone's price if I brought them a quote.

I am totally fed up with them; I understand that my original order placed last year had a delay because of COVID; however, I purchased another set of blinds on March 17; I was told one week to 10 day to delivery, the delivery came one month later, May 1, 2021 -- the track was cut too short. The installer was here with the item, and once the track went up we realized it's too short, he tried to contact the store several times while he was here - unsuccessful; I called the store three times and left a message, no one answers and always goes to voice mail. They have already been paid in full. I also tried to contact their corporate headquarters and that phone just rings and rings and rings - I guess no one's working there either. This is my last experience with Blinds To Go, I suggest Home Depot, Lowes or Nassau Window Fashions, you'll get better service .. the old saying: "You get what you pay for" read more

We ordered six motorized shades for our brand new apartment. There were so many nuances (They charged us incorrectly, issues when scheduling the measurement) signaling this was a horrible decision. They were delayed for more than a month. When we finally had them installed, we found that the gaps between two shades and between the shades and the window frames were left way too wide due to the installer's poor measurements. My blackout shades are completely "shine through"! It defeats the purpose of paying extra $$ for blackout materials! The modernized hub doesn't work across rooms. The controllers work only if you stand right in front of the window. My husband and I were truly disappointed. I can't believe we paid $3000 for the six shades that we hate every day! I just purchased a new condo and wanted to get new blinds. I went to home depot, lowes, and Blinds To Go. I ended up going with Blinds To Go because I read the great reviews on yelp and everything looked like it would go smoothly. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When I walked into the store, they had a device that says enter your information, and a sales rep will help you when available. I entered my information but once someone walk in they helped them before me. Not sure why they have the Ipad. I finally was asked if I needed help. The sales rep was extremely informative and knowledgeable, so I decided to place the order based on the B2GO reviews. After the order had been placed, I was given a sheet of paper with photocopies of five business cards of preferred installers. This was a concerning given this is 2015. Email or professionally written list of installers would have been great. Lazy. I was told to call the installer and arrange an installation date. It was very difficult to get a hold of an installer for a specific date. As a B2Go preferred installer, you would think you would call back. Finally after many tries I was able to reach John Curtain. He is a great guy and knows how to install blinds very well. So we scheduled the installation date. John installed the blinds but when he left one of the blinds was squeaking. I called immediately and, John returned. He said it was a manufacturers mistake and, a pin was missing. So I called the store and, they said to bring the track in and we can order a new one. First off I don't want to take my blinds down when I have company over and bring the blind back. This is also a privacy issue. I want a blind company when you make a mistake to order the track and exchange the track when you install. After a few phone calls and haggling, I was able to get the track ordered. So they said they would call once it arrived. It is funny one I first placed the order the new blinds arrived in 3 days. When I had an issue, the blinds arrived in over three weeks. So I decided to call and ask what is taking so long. To my surprise, the track had arrived, and no one notified me. To recap John C is a great installer. Blinds 2 Go needs to work on customer service when an issue arises and work flow. Future buyers wish you luck. read more

I found Peryann trying to be quite helpful but it took a month to install the blinds that they promised me to have in less than one week. There were so many frustrating moments that it is hard to remember them all. Plus, the store has two phone lines that they use and you can't get a hold of anyone there. I was put on hold way too many times. If I went to email the store, Peryann was off half the time that I wanted to contact her. Also, I had no idea that all the work, measurements and installations are farmed out to third parties. That changed the timing as well. When I asked if i could purchase a second blind, I was offered $15 off the price of the second one while the store was advertising 1/2 off the second blind if ordered during the month when I placed my first order. Since I didn't order the two together, I couldn't get a substantial discount. It is hard to understand how that store functions. I left so dissatisfied with their service. I had no idea the role that Carmen played either. Who is she? If she is the manager, what does she do there? I am grateful that there are other stores out there that do this work as well. Extremely disappointed!! My order was a week late and then when I got home they ordered the completely wrong color. When I brought them back we found out the rep recommended the wrong style for us as we wanted something that would keep the light out. When I brought it up to them they up charged me to get the correct one's. Wrote corporate and they said they would get back to me in 24hrs 2 days later and no answer back. Everything was great up until they get your money. I've been extremely disappointed with the way this store has handled my order after the initial installation attempt (10/30/19). One of the shades I ordered had a faulty mechanism upon arrival (along with another shade missing mounting brackets) and had to be sent back to their factory for either repair or replacement. I waited at least a week to receive some sort of update, however, radio silence from the store. I had to take time out of my work day to make 3 calls (11/6/19) just for someone to give me an update on the faulty shade. The only update I get is that the factory is looking into the faulty mechanism and that I should expect an update in a few days. As expected, I don't hear anything from them for almost another 2 weeks after which I became impatient and reached out again (11/19/19). The representative in charge of my order (Lenora) wasn't available at the time I called and was told she will reach out later in the day. I don't hear back and try again in the afternoon. Guess what they tell me this time? They inform me that the shade got lost in transit somewhere between the factory and the store. How does that even happen?! And more importantly, why wasn't anyone aware of this before I call in for a status update? Because the faulty shade is lost at this point, the store has to place a new order for the factory after which it'll be ready in a couple of days. What happens after a couple of days? Nothing. Zero communication to me from the store. I decide to call in (11/30/19) to find out if the new shade came in. I spoke with Margarita who explains that the store reached out to the installer who failed to reach out to me. She gets in touch with the installer who calls me shortly after to schedule an appointment to install the faulty shade. Assuming the shade gets installed according to schedule, it'll be 12/4/19. I've been going back and forth for more than a month just for one shade. This is pathetic. There's a severe lack of internal and external communication from this store and it's a shame that no one has the decency to follow up despite repeated attempts from me, the customer. Even though I was treated well before I confirmed the final oder, I don't expect to shop here again because of this experience. I will tell my friends and family to avoid it at all cost as well. read more

Christine clearly knows the business because she answered all of our questions in a clear and responsive manner. She was available by phone and when she missed our call, Christine was excellent in returning the call. We could not ask for more!!! Roberto Duran installed the blinds and was also a pleasure. He was very punctual in keeping his appointments and had a very pleasant disposition. Roberto installed ten (10) blinds in about 30 minutes and did a great job. The blinds look GREAT. read more

I'm so upset that I didn't check these reviews before I placed my order. I set up a consultation w/an in-home consultant, Desiree. I didn't think I was going to purchase anything but somehow got sucked into ordering $1600 in blinds. I paid half upfront and was told an installer would reach out to me within two weeks. I waited and I think it was literally two weeks later when the guy called. We scheduled the appointment for the following week and he never showed up! I hadn't saved his number so I reached out to Desiree and she never responded. I had to contact the store twice (including someone in Canada) trying to track him or her down. Desiree was supposedly on vacation and the installers are 3rd party contractors so they don't have their contact info (really? how unprofessional). Finally, someone else got back to me to schedule an appointment with a DIFFERENT installer. He showed up 3 hours late (after I had to call and remind him of our appointment). Now, I was told I have to wait a few more weeks for the order to be ready just to schedule another install. I was told it'd be about 3 weeks. I'm dreading how the rest of this process will go. I still haven't heard from Desiree and the world's most unhelpful representative refused to give me her contact and just said she'd "try" and leave her a message for me. Worst service ever. DO NOT waste your time there. Very unprofessional, border line rude. I tried to reach out the store on a Saturday morning and had to place about 6 calls before someone finally picked up the phone. I needed to reschedule an appointment. The person I had on the phone was extremely rude. She said she will call me back right away and she never did! I had to call again and eventually I went to the store directly. I had all the intentions to use Blinds to Go for all my window treatments. They made it difficult to deal with, therefore I have decided to go with another company. There are plenty of them in the Paramus area, that know how to treat their clients professionally. read more

We ordered and received blinds, many of them, from Blinds to Go. The employees were nice. Unfortunately the blinds we ordered, the slats themselves, are not very wide, not at all, and when turned with the slats facing up, one can see directly in between the blind slats. Prior to this we had blinds from Lowes, guess we should have kept them. We just thought it would be nicer to have the colored tape and a valance over the top of the blinds, matching the color of the binds. This is very disappointing and obviously I am needing to get draperies also. read more

Since there's no way for zero star, I've settle in for one star. RUN AWAY if you're even considering visiting this store. I had no idea what a harassment it will be to get blinds from them & finally have blinds installed at my place. I purchased blinds in September & till December, no blinds at my home. They gave me a list of 4 installers, none of which ever lifted call, responded to my voice mail or text for good long one month. Finally I called showroom & they sent some other installer who came to our place after 2 weeks. Almost a month later, blinds were ready & I contacted the installer & he gave me a date for installation almost a month later. Finally on that day, he disappeared into thin air, did not respond to my text or call & his mail box was full, so I could not leave him a voice mail. 3 months & dunno how much more time for blinds to get installed. Why will anyway pay premium to get herself harassed. I've a full time job but this process is more demanding ,calling & tracking the blinds & installer. If I don't call regularly & track, then apparently it's my fault. Hence Stay away from the trap. I'm editing this review as I got blinds installed finally & much to my surprise, wrong blinds have been installed, mechanism of which I do not like at all & I've been charged $100 more for three changes done by the store without my permission or knowledge. On my first visit to this store Danielle was professional and attentive. She guided me through the process with no issues. My second visit was very different, the person at the counter made me wait for 30 minutes just to pick up one shade. Another salesperson came along and asked if I needed help of course I said yes and was directed to another counter where the pickups occur. This is less for the store and more a review on Shop at Home. I placed an order for blinds back in May!!!!! I'm still waiting to be completely done with this process. Theyre short handed installers so basically waiting weeks to get this done, then the blinds come back torn, or the wrong color and I'm waiting additional weeks. Then they call and randomly just want to show up. "I'm at your house, are you home now?" I've had to send about 20 emails/calls/texts back and forth trying to get my blinds fixed and installed. Everything you wanted to know about Blinds To Go (BTG) but we're afraid, forgot or didn't think you had to ask. It's frightening! Let me start by saying; Your piece of mind and sanity are better served spending a bit more for Hunter Douglas, Norman, or other high quality name brands. You can also go the less expensive route with treatments from Home Depot or Lowes for standard sizes at great savings! The failure rate (based on my experience) with BTG products across the board is staggering, almost unfathomable. Anything from missing parts, wrong mounting hardware, mechanism failures or just horrendous quality with zero quality control, ZERO. The entire process is based on speed but this haste comes with consequences and a price. The lack of quality to detail being one, high failure rate second. Yes, your order will be expedited quickly (they want your money after all). Sadly, just try to get in touch with BTG when you have a problem. First you'll notice nobody picks up the phone and then it sinks in...they don't have an answering machine, voicemail, email or service department, nothing! Everything, and I mean everything including manufacturing defects and customer service issues are wrongfully pushed off to the independent sub contractor / installers. The decision not to have any sort of answering system in place is clearly by choice, so ask yourself; why? Could it be BTG can't be bothered with the flood of disgruntled clients? Welcome to the wonderful world of Blinds To Go customer service. Give it a try now, call the route 4 store in Paramus 201-441-9260 and see if anyone picks up the phone. If they do its like winning the lottery so go buy a scratch off it's your lucky day! If they don't it's business as usual as the friendly and soon to be familiar then annoying recording instructs you to try again, and again, and again. Soon you will get so frustrated that a drive back to the store is your "only" option. At this point you regret the entire experience then as fate will have it you'll stumble across these posts. Something so simple as customer service is a foreign concept to the Canadian firm. No doubt they offer all the bells and whistles, endless styles, colors and fabrics with a smile. Don't be taken in by the eye candy showroom or IMO an overpriced inferior product packaged and displayed to sell in sheer volume not quality. Don't be fooled by the sales gimmicks either, once one gimmick ends another will be right behind it. Inflated retail prices often result in never ending sales of this type. Also, according to a source, the lower end products are NOT made by Blinds to Go at all. Not surprisingly in my experience these lower end blinds (sold but not made by BTG) have a better success rate than the products BTG actually make! Could these lower end BTG products be the same blinds offered at both Home Depot and Lowes for 1/3 of the BTG sale price? Could be, who's to say, definitely worth checking out. Also, when shopping for blinds or shutters the faux wood (fancy name for cheap plastic / vinyl) are horrible. Get real wood instead (Hunter Douglas and Norman both offer them) they're much lighter to lift and the finish is amazing and rich looking. As of this date BTG does not offer real wood anything just cheap plastic pawned off as "faux" and it shows. Buyer beware at the highest level, this company is a mess. I would give them a zero rating if I could. I just saw an add on TV that is bigotry to the extreme! Bigotry against the older and heavier than what THEY believe is acceptable! I am just very relieved that I didn't continue with my purchase of blinds before I saw it too! The commercial is of an "older" and heavier than the norm man doing yoga in front of a window that doesn't have any blinds while a young thin couple are walking by. When the couple see the man who is exercising they are horrified to see that person! At that point the announcer cuts in and states that "you need blinds NOW!" Why? Because Blinds To Go thinks that the site of anyone who is that heavy and old shouldn't be seen at all! Bigotry is wrong, but bigotry being used to SELL something is even worse! Not a pleasant experience. From the moment I stepped in the door I felt rushed by the sales person. He also seem agitated that I was asking questions. I was raised to be a polite person and treat people how you would like to be treated. This being said, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was having a bad day. If you can find another store, go there! I selected Blinds To Go because it was convenient to my home. The sales person was nice enough but a neophyte. When I ordered the blinds, I was told that the store would call me when the blinds had arrived. I waited and waited and waited with no call from the store. Finally, I called the store and they told me that the blinds had been there for TWO WEEKS!!! The person told me that they DON'T CALL the customer when the order arrives, they email the customer. Well, the email address they had was incorrect despite me telling them that it was incorrect when i purchased the blinds. There is no fail-safe mechanism to notify the customer. One would think that if merchandise was still there for a week (after being notified) that someone from the store would call the customer. But, no!! They just let my order sit there!! Everything is so mechanized, automated and computerized. There is NO real customer concern or redundancy (i.e., backup) as it relates to notifying the customer when the order is complete. In the future, I would not make them my first choice. read more

We stopped in at Blinds To Go on a whim, after looking for blinds at a few local places. The selection was the largest we'd seen and we were able to find what we were looking for. Then the salesman walked us through the process, took the measurements that we came prepared with, priced out what we had chosen and told us they would be ready in 2 days!!! AMAZING....so easy and efficient! All we had to do was call them later to confirm the measurements and they would put the order through and call us when they were ready. They came in on time as promised and they look great! We couldn't have been happier with the service we received! I just completed the selection and order of my blinds at the Blinds To Go store, Branch 208, on Rt 4, in Paramus and had a wonderful experience. From the first moment i entered the store i was happily welcomed by the Design Consultant Lenora Roso. She quickly helped me get an understanding of the many product options, both in style and price, and made it totally easy for me to make a choice that I'm so happy with. When I narrowed down my choices, she patiently gave me complete confidence in my purchase in in every way. As I got closer to finalize my order, I was also lucky enough to get even more help from Stephanie Mandato, who continued to let me try the blinds in the store to get familiar with their function and gave me a few more design suggestions that helped me make final adjustments to my order. And finally, my order was completed with all the final measurements and up to date discounts by Christine Knox, who amazingly made everything clear and absolutely accurate. Their products are very nice once installed. The problem comes when you try to install the roll up shades yourself. Due to a change in the way the shades are made, you need an extra metal piece in order for the shades to roll up. These pieces are not included with the packaging. After wasting your time trying to install them, you have to call the store to find out you are missing the piece. After another trip to the store to get their piece, your shades will finally work. read more
