But if I have to go, I am going to a dentist who is friendly, kind and understands his profession! This is the place! I have been going to this dentist office for a few years. Dr. Datillio runs a smaller practice so he knows his patients. I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. The receptionist is really friendly. The office is not huge so once you get in the chair the dentist is in to see you within minutes. The hygienists are thorough and efficient. I have had fillings done here, and Dr. Datillo explains what he needs to do and always gives you a time frame. I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a great dentist!

Dr Chapman is fantastic and has an wonderful staff that all truly care and want to help. They have worked on my wife multiple times and worked out plans with her to make things affordable. We now have coverage through my work and they are making sure they know what coverages we have and what all can be done and doing everything possible to make sure we get all we need done, done with what we have. Planning out an entire care/treatment plan to get us to our best dental health. I loved the text messages I got with confirmation and follow up reminders from the very start. I found that extremely helpful. On my appointment they were running a bit behind but had a few emergencies that were squeezed in before me which I really didn't mind and it actually gave me peace of mind if I were to be having a dental emergency they would squeeze me in. I got a aweosme follow up email and well as a survey which I will be sharing as well in screen shot form. They also sent me an email for using the online patient tools and a reminder of my next appointment. Very nice Such a fantastic experience. Dr Chapman is pleasant and easy going. He takes time to make sure you understand everything. I felt like I was in good hands with him and his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Chapman!

His staff is also very attentive and they work to ensure your visit is pleasant and that your needs are addressed. While the office is professional on the surface, my experience overall was extremely frustrating and costly. After my permanent crowns were placed, I developed persistent sensitivity in my right front tooth (cold and hot) that did not improve over time. I also felt a noticeable ledge/step on the back side of the crown near the gumline, which made me concerned about the fit/contour. Aesthetically, the crowns also looked longer and bulkier than expected with heavier incisal edges than what I was aiming for. When I tried to address these concerns, I was advised to pay for additional diagnostics (a wax diagnostic). After I paid for it, the office later terminated the patient-provider relationship instead of completing the planned corrections. What made the situation especially difficult was the refund process: the office confirmed in writing the refund amounts, but repeatedly stated the refund would only be processed if I signed a broad "release/indemnification" agreement exactly as written. The agreement was extremely one-sided. It went far beyond acknowledging a refund and included sweeping waivers and protections for the office, along with a "non-disparagement/online statements" section that, in my view, would discourage patients from speaking openly online about their experience. I was not comfortable signing something like that just to receive an agreed refund. Overall, I'm deeply disappointed by how concerns were handled. The communication and resolution process felt dismissive and, at times, misleading - more focused on protecting the office than responsibly addressing the problem. My takeaway is that the approach felt money-driven, and I left feeling I couldn't trust the process. I would encourage anyone considering treatment here to do thorough due diligence and not rely solely on online ratings.

That time came and went. I asked when I'd be seen and they said "we're running late." (At 10:18, I had asked if they were running late and was told that they were not.) At 10:25 I asked the receptionist how long my appointment would take. Was told an hour. Well, I'm already ten minutes into my lunch hour and had expected to be seen at my appointment time. I said "nevermind, I'm leaving; you can keep my money" (had to make a $25 deposit before anything happened at all). They said "have a nice day," and I said "f*ck off." (Yeah -- i know that's wrong, but was so frustrated, and also I'm old and have no filter.) It's a downtown office and downtown workers obviously use them and can't be away from work for hours on end because a dentist doesn't keep appointment times.) This place has zero respect for patients' time, but theirs is SO important that I received NUMEROUS texts in the days leading up to my appointment. "...you have an appointment reserved with Atlas Dental Specialists on Wed, Oct 1st at 10:20 AM." And ".."please respond with C to confirm your appointment with Atlas Dental Specialists for October 1st at 10:20 am. If your appt is missed, or cancelled / rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice, a fee of $50/hour of appt time will apply." So obviously THEIR time is important. Just not their patients' time. Also, every appointment is "separate." Cleaning is one. Examination is another. It's all about money money money with this place. They did refund my $25 deposit though. Terrible place. And now I have to find a dentist.

They put a cap on the tooth and ever since, I have had problems . My regular dentist revealed that they didn't shape the tooth properly so the cap won't stay on. I'm not hundreds of dollars in with an oral surgeon to fix their mistake. Hundreds will likely turn to thousands. This place is a joke. There's one experienced doctor and the rest are his kids. I ended up in the emergency room for 4 days and had to get surgery as a result of an infection from a faulty filling that was put in. The filling was put in May 2025 and fell out and had to be replaced in October 2025 When I expressed concern about an infection during the procedure to replace the filling the dentist smugly laughed off my concern and referred me to a tooth extraction office. I have lost 2 teeth to this issue and ended up at urgent care again after having to get a tooth removed from another faulty filling that they put in resulting in another infection. I would not go to this office if you value your health and safety. This office is no longer reliable or professional since Dr. Thomas retired.

Dr Arnie would take time to consult with you about any dental work needed, but now you are just told what needs done and to schedule an appointment. Multiple times I have had the current dentists try to insist on getting root canals, and not take the time to talk with me about what I think. My teeth are not very sensitive, and Dr Arnie would always take into consideration that each person is different- he provided me with multiple fillings where a root canal could have been an option, but in each case his excellent work has held up and limited the amount of pain & money that would have come from constant root canals. Instead of a focus on patient care, there seems to be more of a focus on financial gain - my last appt I was quoted for over $1800 of work that would need done and had to all be done at the same time. Did not do any of it, and still no issues more than a year later. The office staff is also very unfriendly, especially to a family needing to book multiple appts at once. They refuse to book cleanings any less than 8 months out (despite 6 months being the recommended time frame) yet take on new patients and give them priority scheduling. They seem to also have a shortage of dental hygienists, claiming they have more business than can currently be handled by their staff. We had gone to this dentist for more than 25 years without having any of these issues, but with the retirement of Dr Arnie it is no longer a good dentist office. I would highly recommend finding a different dentist to avoid the same poor service we have experienced.
