I went to this salon for over a decade. Not only for haircare but also other services. I left when my Stylist went to another salon and I chose to go there. I called at 7:30 PM asking for a hair cut appointment. A stylist had an appointment the next morning at 10:00 AM. They had no record of my having been a client. After what seemed to be an interrogation to book the appointment the next morning, I was told that I would have to put down a deposit. I have never heard of such a thing. I said I wasn't going to put A deposit on a hair cut. The poor receptionist Could not change the "policy" although she was very understanding. I hope the Bliss owners understand that there are 100s of salons in the city. I got a wonderful cut today at Progressions and I am going back for a Mani-pedi. Tis tis Bliss. read more

Sam cut my hair a few weeks ago, and she is amazing. A friend of mine recommended I go see Sam, and she couldn't have been more right. I came in with a picture of what I wanted. My hair is incredibly thin. Sam cut my hair to the length that I wanted, and added enough layers that I have volume for days! It was also nice how personable Sam was during my visit. I tend to take awhile to open up to people, but Sam didn't push this. She asked me some questions at the start of the appointment, and by the end we were chatting like old friends. Best Wedding Day Experience! This team was amazing and were kind enough to open on Sunday for us. They had great service from the beginning booking to walking out of their salon looking very fancy. They took care of not only my bride tribe, but my mother in law and my mom. They were so fun and made us gorgeous. All of our make up looked flawless even after hours of dancing. They worked their magic on everyone's hair as well and we even finished earlier than scheduled. Thank you for letting us toast and dance and have a blast getting fabulous. I've been going platinum for a few years now. I have always gotten my hair professionally done and have never had box dye in it. I am new to Greensboro and was looking for a salon to continue my journey going platinum. I attached a picture below of my hair the day before my appointment at Bliss - it was healthy, long, light, and naturally curly. I've also attached the picture I walked into the salon with. I was told by the stylist, Darlene, that the color was achievable if she could take a few inches off of my hair. I agreed. My appointment was on a Thursday. I was at the salon from 3 to 11:30pm. I had to return on Friday AND Saturday because of how botched my hair was. It was two different colors with a VERY defined line, and still is. I've attached pictures below after the first, second, and third time at the salon that I believe speak for themselves. My hair was extensively damaged from bleach and is not even blonde. No other stylist will touch my hair for a color correction because of how damaged it is. My hair was literally burnt off at Bliss. It has been over a month and I still cannot run a brush through my hair because of the amount of breakage I have. I am devastated. I explicitly asked to speak to a manager or owner twice, to no avail. After the extensive bleach damage that was done to my hair, the only "solution" I was given by the stylist going forward was to go dark. My hair is damaged beyond repair, multiple different colors, darker than the hair I originally came in with, and nowhere near the color I asked for and was told was achievable. I have never had an experience with a salon like this before. If the look I wanted was not achievable, I should have been told and would have pursued other options. That is why I went to a professional salon - to be given professional advice and have professional work done. Save your money and your hair and choose a different salon. read more

Abby did an excellent job on my color. I'm starting to see the white hairs popping through. She discussed with me the upkeep of blonde vs red and gave me so many options. She took her time and was very detailed. The color looks amazing and SOOOOO natural. In the past when I've gotten highlights they were blocky and did not look natural. She is amazing! I had a appointment on Saturday at 12:30 with Alexis, as I was entering the door I received a text that she said she knew I had a 12:30 appointment but she was running behind. I thought probably 15 minutes but it turned into a hour. At that time she came to me and told me she couldn't do my hair that day, that was after I waited a hour for her to get thru with her other customer.NOT sure why she couldn't have told me sooner. All I can think is that the stylist didn't know what a collarbone was, because she definitely did not cut it to the length we discussed (way shorter). I had my partner meet me to Natty Greene's after and all he said upon walking in (my back was to the door) was 'I'm so sorry'. Color was okay, hence the two stars. My visit with Bliss and Co started with average customer service. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time but was compensated for the wait with a gift card to use for my services which was great. I had previously visited Bliss and Co at their former location and loved the atmosphere and attentiveness and it appears that they are doing their best to replicate this at the downtown storefront. I took in a picture of a balayage hairstyle and and my stylist assured me that she could do something similar despite my hair being one uniform blonde (with about a quarter inch of dark roots showing). Instead of "something similar" I got a few low-lights added and two inches of dark brown roots. The "roots" she dyed are so evident, unblended, and dark that I was told this hairstyle was unprofessional because my job requires natural hair colors only. In addition to this, the stylist thinned my hair out and added layers despite me repeatedly saying that I did not like layers. I will not be returning. read more

Sam as always is an artist. And as such knows her craft well. I don't always get a chance to make it downtown but when I do I try to get in with her. Between having makeup done and even something not quite as involved as a shampoo and blowout. She has a vision. I just let her work her magic. And disappointment never happens. I am editing my previous review for Bliss Co. My second appointment left me with color/highlighting much lighter than the picture I brought in. However, I was told before I left that if I got home and decided that it was still too light, that i could come get a glaze that would tone everything down. I contacted my stylist but never got a response. Very disappointed, especially considering the cost. I found another salon/stylist who pays more attention to what I want and at a better price. read more

I do not recommend Bliss and Co. I am extremely disappointed in my experience at Bliss and Co. I asked for a neutral brown hair color and nothing ashy. The words out of my stylist mouth were, "Oh the ends turned out ashy." If you know it turned out poorly and not willing to fix it then or set up a time to get it fixed the next few days, then I recommend not going to this salon. If they are not willing to help you when they made a mistake and let you leave unhappy - then do not risk wasting your time and money at this place. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

If I could leave a negative review for this salon I would. I went there because a friend of mine goes there and her hair looked amazing! Unfortunately the girl who did her hair was completely booked up but they recommended me to another beautician who supposedly I could trust. I don't really mind letting random people do my hair. If it turns blue or too blonde I usually don't get mad. Well My mother used to be a beautician and decided to join me because it was two days before my graduation. Well this woman didn't listen to what myself or my mother had said to her, she decided to do her own thing. Needless to say I came out looking like I did when I walked into the shop. Another thing.. I HATE cutting my hair. It almost touches my butt and I can barely even trim a centimeter off! She said a comment to me and says "I might just cut it off anyways and not say anything to you about it, you'll never notice".... I was so done after that comment! So if you do chose to go here, please research your beautician! I still had to pay a pretty expensive price for her not to do a thing. My mother also mentioned she really saved her product when she was doing my hair.. she barely put any on my head. After I told her it didn't look any different, than before she said I could come back in for another session but I was not going back to that salon. I went to ulta to get it fixed the next day. That woman SAVED me. She lifted my hair to show me the "beautician tricks" she did to me... y'all, there were literally circles of bleach in my hair.. I was so shocked. Just be careful. read more

Went to get hair done for prom. Very expensive for something we could have done at home, and better. No styling products used other than hair spray. Hair was curled very quickly and fell out by the time we got home. There was nothing difficult that couldn't have been done for free at home. Ended up having to take a shower and start from scratch.
