This place is very close to my house, after reading Yelp reviews I decided to give it a try. I have been a customer for 4 months now. I am very particular about my eyebrows (as we all are) Hetal is so very accommodating and nice. I came in before my wedding nervous to let anyone touch my eyebrows, she could see I was nervous and she let me hold the mirror and watch to ease my nerves. I've been here three times and each progressive visit got worse! After the last one, I'm never coming back!! I usually went around the same time, afternoon around 5pm on a weekday, and I'm pretty sure the same lady helped me every time (don't know her name). The only thing I ask for is a clean up, no shaping. From what I remember, the first time (which was years ago) was great, easily a 5 star experience. I went a few months ago and was happy with the service and how my brows looked. However, when I washed my face later that day, I felt stinging under my brows and later it scabbed up, so obviously the threading cut up my skin. She was holding the thread pretty tightly. The next time I came back, same lady. So I asked her to be more careful. She claims that it's because I wasn't holding down my skin tightly enough (funny because I've gone to other places and been perfectly fine..). I made sure to hold it down tighter to give her a better surface and left thinking that my brows were fine. HOWEVER, I didn't notice until the next day that my eyebrows were completely lopsided!! There was more space under one and one was longer in the bridge than the other. I will admit that it was totally my mistake for not noticing and pointing it out the day of, but I was wearing glasses, so I couldn't see very well when she gave me a mirror to check after because I had taken my glasses off during the threading. When I put them back on, the glasses covered my eyebrows. I only noticed when I put my contacts in the next day. Either way, damage was done. The same day that I noticed I went back to get it fixed/ask for some kind of remediation. She was extremely unhelpful and claims that they only clean up brows, never shape them, and that my eyebrows must have been lopsided before. If you see other reviews, you'll see that plenty of girls have asked for shaping and gotten it; she was probably giving me a canned excuse they use when they mess up. She asked me if I pluck, and I said I only pluck stray hairs that grow back after threading, but she kept going back to that as the reason for my brows being lopsided. She was rolling her eyes and kept spinning it around so that I was at fault, not her. She said she would check the sign-in list to see if I had really been in the day before. I asked her how she planned on helping me once she confirmed that, but she didn't really have an answer aka she's not going to do anything about it. She offered to give me an extra stamp on the stamp card, which I don't even have in the first place.. whoop-dee-freaking-do. Worthless. I regret getting angry, but really, an apology and/or refund would have sufficient. Instead, excuses and attitude. They're hit or miss, so if you like living on the wild side, this is the place for you. If you want your eyebrows to look normal, avoid at all costs. read more

Went here because of all the positive reviews. Was a little skeptical at first because it's a hole in the wall sort of place, but I couldn't be happier with the results or the price. $10 for perfect eyebrows? Awesome. I've gone to $30-40 dollar waxing places that didn't do such a good job as the girl at Bliss. Also, at the higher price point I couldn't afford to go back in for regular upkeep, but I think I will be a regular Bliss customer from now on. Happy to have found the perfect place for brow shaping. :) Oh, also - I walked in, was seen immediately, and was in and out in about ten minutes. Hassle free! read more

I was nervous to get my brows threaded because of a terrible experience prior and had since switched to waxing my brows, but I felt the need to go back to threading. I found Bliss on yelp and decided to give it a try. My sister and I went on a weekday, and though there was a parking lot, it was packed. We were greeted by Hetal, signed in and took a seat. Before she got started on me, I told her I wanted to leave my brows as full as possible but with a clean shape. When she started I was bracing myself for pain and for a few tears to roll down my cheek, BUT it never happened. I'm not saying it was completely painless, but I wasn't wincing like I had when I got my brows threaded before. She was done quickly and my brows looked great thanks to Hetal! My sister was up next and was nervous to get her brows threaded as well. She felt relaxed in Hetal's chair and didn't cry either (Trust. We used to leave our old brow place with swollen red brows and in pain). The time went by incredibly fast, but we didn't sacrifice for quality. Hetal was incredibly precise. On our way out, Hetal gave us both stamp cards (after the 4th, free upper lip; after the 9th, free brows) and she gave some tips and pointers. Our experience was fantastic! So excited that there is finally a threading studio in this neighborhood! Bliss is clean, fast, and awesome. LOVED the free facial massage that came with the eyebrow threading. You cannot beat the Larchmont/Hancock park area as it is and Bliss is really adding to the north side of this neighborhood. This is now my regular threading studio. read more

First time being threaded ever but the lady was very friendly and nice about it and throughout the whole process. Went with my mom which was her first time too but she said it hurt more than she thought it would but I guess it depends on your pain tolerance :P For $10 I'd say its a deal and I love the way my brows have a much cleaner shape now. Will most likely return especially cause they have one of those frequent customer cards where after your 5th visit you get free upper lip threading and after your 10th, eyebrows. read more

Bliss is a good place for the price. I have been there a few times now as I am new to the area and needed a good place. First of all I am a bit of a germafobe and I dont like people touching my face. I was comforted when Ankita immediately sanitized her hands before she touched me. Ankita was very good about taking the time to make sure I liked my eyebrows and did retouches when I wanted a little more off. The massage is also nice at the end. I will return. read more

so ive been having my eyebrows done for years. I had a place i went to religiously in pasadena but recently having moved i was soo excited that i found a new place right by me. Ive been to this location twice. the first time i went, i was the only person there. The woman rushed through my eyebrows and she was not very affable. I decided to give the place another try. I visited last week. Again i was the only customer. Just like the last time she rushed through my eyebrows, customer service was horrible and the area above my eye was in major pain. When i got home i noticed that it was all red and she had taken some skin off so i had three small bruises on top of my eye. I am not someone who usually writes reviews, but customers beware. DO NOT visit this place. The service is horrendous and she does not know how to thread correctly. The skin above my eye was bruised for three days.
