PROS: - Good work most of the time - Friendly, but still focused on the job - Didn't experience any cuts or burns - Reasonable prices + loyalty card CONS: - Inconsistent hours* - Sometimes pushy for reviews - Often more painful than at other salons *The main con for me was the inconsistent hours = not being open when the store sign and Yelp page say they're open. The first time it happened, it was 4:30pm on a typical Wednesday. The door was locked, but there was no sign nor change to posted operating hours. Although I was annoyed, I thought hey, maybe there was an emergency, and I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, the second time it happened, it was on a Saturday half an hour past the supposed opening time. I waited 5 minutes, then left. I don't enjoy wasting my time. read more

Based on all the reviews I was really hoping for a great experience, but that was not the case. Came in on a Saturday afternoon with only one person ahead of me and already in the chair. I noticed that the technician really took her time on the person in the chair, which gave me hope I'd be treated the same way. Not the case. No greeting, just told me to sit. She was extremely rough and rushed throughout the threading(far from my first threading experience), didn't clean the hairs off my face, and haphazardly rubbed aloe on my eyebrows. $15 for a terrible experience and a so-so finished product. read more

I've been here several times now and I'm always pleased with the results so it's time for a quick review. Bliss is located in a small shopping plaza next to a nail salon, there is usually decent parking during the day but can fill up at certain times. The times I have gone, I've seen only 1 person there so there can be a wait depending on the rush. Today, there was 3 people waiting so I got my nails done next door (very convenient) and when I went back, there was not a single person there. The price of $10 is higher than what I'm used to paying in other areas but this location is convenient, she is good and at the end of the day it's not too much $ out of pocket. Make sure to ask for a stamp card so you can earn your way to some free services. read more

The owner needs to throw in the towel. She clearly has no desire to run an actual business -- that is incredibly clear by the way she runs this business. They are NEVER open. Take the business hours as a suggestion ONLY because 95% of the time the door is locked and she is nowhere to be found when they are allegedly open. I came today and there is a haphazard sign in the front window stating that they are closed due to 'some emergencies'. They must have 'some emergencies' daily since I'm almost positive I've seen this sign posted before. Would not recommend the owner for eyebrow threading -- she always does it way too thin. The only saving grace for this business is their one employee who does a great job threading eyebrows. Unfortunately -- she only works Thurs-Sunday! Been coming to Bliss Brow for almost 3 years now. Seen two different girls in that duration of time. So not a huge turnover at all and consistent. No bells or whistles but efficient and beautiful work. Not to mention.....ONLY 10 DOLLARS for eyebrows !!! I have never left not happy with my brows or the service. Anyway, It is conveniently located in the little strip mall on Melrose and Vine right behind or before Mario's, depending on which way you are traveling. They have their own parking lot which is key. I've been here a few times. I go mainly due to convenience because it's so close to my home. However, I've been to better threading salons and have gotten way better service. The threader is a little cold but I could get over that. Just last Saturday I got my brows done there and I have never been so displeased. Once I got home, I realized that she cut me. Yes, cut me. I didnt even know that was possible with threading but it is. So now I have a scar on the bottom of my brow and I'm waiting for it to heal. I imagine she saw the cut once she did it, but she didn't bother to tell me. My brows aren't nearly as even as when I go to other places. I am just not happy and I doubt I'd return. A friend refereed me here after I told her that I was growing out my brows and wanted to get them threaded in order to give them a better shape. She said shed heard good things about the place. So one day I had 30 minutes before I had to go into work (which is right across the street) early one morning and decided to give this place a try...boy was that a huge regret! I walked in to a not very friendly greeting and told the technician the kind of shape that I wanted and she told me it would be possible to achieve, mind you I had let them grow for over 2 months and I had not had them threaded in over two years because I switched to wax. I knew that having them threaded would be a bit painful because they were so thick and I am not a fan of having strangers near my face (which the technician was aware of because I told her beforehand) and she said that it would not be an issue that we could take a breather if needed. So following this conversation she began to thread and I asked her twice to please give me a two second break because I was beginning to get a bit anxious do to my discomfort of having strangers near my face (yes I know this is a bit odd) and when I asked she seemed very unhappy huffing and puffing. This would not have bothered me because I understand that my discomfort is not her issue but if this was going to be such a big issues she should have let me know and i would have taken my business elsewhere. Now the killer part when she was done with my eyebrows they looked HORRIBLE! There was no shape to them and they looked almost as bushy as when I walked in... I was so upset that I seriously considered walking out and not paying but instead I went to the nail shop next door and had them fixes them up a bit. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone they have poor customer service and do with your brows as they please not as they are asked. read more
