Please consider a second opinion if something feels off - for all healthcare experiences. I went for a routine exam and cleaning. They took X-rays and said I had 8-12 cavities and needed to come back for a 2-part deep cleaning; I go to the dentist regularly, and have had several different dentists, and I've never needed a deep cleaning, nor have I had so many cavities all at once. I don't believe I've had 12 total cavities in my life. I was in shock and a bit distressed by this news, and I don't think the dentist's abrupt bedside manner helped much. They wouldn't do a normal cleaning the same day, though I was under the impression that was what I had scheduled, and said that I would have to return for multi-day deep cleanings to target different quadrants of the mouth. I scheduled a visit to my childhood dentist, and both the hygienist and dentist were shocked by the treatment plan I was given. They reviewed my x-rays and did a routine cleaning and exam, noting that I didn't have cavities, deep pockets, build-up, or decay that warranted deep cleanings or any fillings. I know every practice has its own procedures, but I would be sure to check past reviews that indicate similar experiences to mine. I hope that excessive, uncomfortable, and time-consuming procedures are not being recommended. read more

Usually the rating would be better except upon this visit my daughter got a teeth cleaning and check up and found a cavity and a possible need for invitation. Before providing the invisalign paperwork they should of gave options like maybe possible extraction of my daughters wisdom teeth as they are pushing the teeth as well. My daughter told me the oral surgeons were giving Two different options in the back office and only provided the one that cost the most of course pushing sales rather than affordability. First could of been let's try the wisdom teeth removal and then if that doesn't help than the Invisalign... First of all I am a patient that dentist dread, I have significant work needed but I am TERRIFIED of the dentist so after 10 YEARS and not seeing a dentist I went trying one last time to be brave. They have taken way more time and energy than I thought possible to make me feel like I was the only patient they have. They haven given me numbing for procedures that most would laugh at like just gluing my crown on but I didn't want to take any chances of pain. 4 seconds of a shot which I'm not excited about but rest of appt is pain free. Jenny at the front desk made me feel like she was proud of me for showing up ( big step for me, can't fix my teeth from home) to getting my cleaning ( with numbing) to several crowns and fillings and a laundry list to go but one step closer to a great smile without anyone rushing me or snickering behind my back. I'm in my 60's and still get to hug a stuffed cat while they work on me. Just a comfort thing to hold. Yep I know how stupid it is but I keep returning. Prices are so much better than most places I've called and we are doing step by step so easier to pay for. I have NEVER felt more at home with these people. Dr Yap says lots of positive things and is so patient with me and my crazy so I couldn't give this place anything except ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Last visit she did some of my bigger work, they gave me a different medicine than most doctors to be drowsy ( must have driver) but I cried the night before cause I was so scared. Finally at appt I remember them handing me the stuffed kitty to hold and Then my husband asking me if I wanted soup..... I was home. No pain no fear DONE. I still realize they have lots of patients but I feel if the above sounds like you, give them a chance. I feel lucky to have them. And YES still *terrified but baby steps in the right direction. * not scared or nervous more like over the top and irrational fear. I have a small mouth and it hurts to open it wide for a long period of time. The staff is so nice, they always cater to my needs and are so gentle. Their bedside manner is chef's kiss! I appreciate the feeling of being like part of the family here. I never wait long, the entire place is always so clean, and they always have old music videos playing on the tvs in the rooms. Overdue review. I had an emergency back in January, called and they were able to get me in immediately the next day. I needed a root canal done & cleaning since it had been a while due to Covid. This is a new office in the Albertson shopping center. Easy parking. Ample parking space. Appointment was at 1pm. I arrived 20 mins early to fill out health questionnaires and verify insurance information. I was escorted back to the treatment suite at 1256pm. Things that I notice: Clean treatment suite. Sterile instrument pack. Lead apron with thyroid collar provided. The radiation in digital radiography is very low. So the lead apron is really not needed. It's great that they have it. I know some people will be apprehensive if one is not provided. The dental hygienist and dental assistant did the radiographs and intraoral pictures. Dr.Yap came in and introduced herself. Very pleasant. Friendly demeanor. Professional attire. Dr. Yap performed the comprehensive dental examination and provided me with the diagnosis and prognosis. I had the opportunity to view the intraoral pictures and radiographs. She took time explaining my dental condition in layman's term and provided good analogy. Treatment options provided. So would I be returning to Bliss Dental? Absolutely. Friendly staff and a great and experience dentist at the helm. read more
