After visiting 3 different dental offices in a span of 1 week after the sudden retirement of my previous long term dentist, I found my forever dentist with Dr. Steven Do at Star Brite Dental. It was definitely time consuming effort, but worth it at the end. From the moment you step in the office, you feel the warm and friendly environment, unlike the other dental offices I visited where you feel like you're walking into a lions den, ready to be eaten as you're viewed as a dollar sign. The front desk ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. Scheduling appointments was very easy. They go out of their way to break down charges, what is a covered by insurance, and ultimately your responsibility. No surprises. Then comes the best experience, the treatment and care. This is the first time using Dr. Do for major dental work....tooth extraction and crown. Of course I was worried at first, but Dr. Do and his dental assistant Terra made it a wonderful and painless experience. They are very gental, takes time to explain everything they are doing, and ultimately making you feel at ease. As I mentioned, I visited 2 other dental offices prior to going to see Dr. Do. Based on treatment plans from the other 2 offices, you can tell there was a lot of " upselling". Not with Dr. Do, his treatment plan was to to the point to resolve the issue, no additional upselling, that's why I ultimately chose him for my procedures. In addition my out of pocket cost with insurance was much less than the other 2 dentists I visited. Rarely can anyone say they had a good experience at a dental office. However, I can honestly say I had a great experience overall with Dr. Do and definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

Ive been paying for dental insurance all year and have never made the attempt to make an appointment because I find it very stressful. Of the 5 places I called, this was the first place that was able to verify that they did in fact take my insurance, and also happened to have an opening right away. I live just down the street and was happy to get my cleaning done before having to go to work today. I am really happy with the experience. Everyone, from the front, to the assistant, to Dr Do was super kind. I didn't feel judged or like I was being scolded like I have in the past when Ive done eye exams or even with getting my hair done. I really appreciate having a positive experience. Dr. Xa and his staff are the BEST EVER! I have gone to Starbrite for almost 15 years now; my whole family goes to Starbrite, my neighbors go to Starbrite Dental as well. If anyone ever asks me if I know a good dentist, I tell them, "no, I know a GREAT DENTIST"! The office is beautiful and relaxing. Dr. Xa and his staff are caring, professional and it is like seeing old friends every time I go. The receptionist and most of the staff have been with Dr. Xa for 15 years. I have extremely sensitive teeth and get a little wound up when I have to go to the dentist. However, I have never had any pain with any treatment at Starbrite ( i've had everything from fillings to root canals.). I leave every appointment thinking "Wow, that was so easy! I can't believe I'm done already!" Dr. Xa's work is excellent. My son is away at college, his girlfriend is pre-dental. She talked him into being a "patient" in the student practice - every staff member and multiple professors came over and commented on what excellent dental work my son has (all from Dr. Xa) - they even filmed some of it to show student examples. Dr. Xa is very conservative and always goes with the least invasive, most effective treatment. He and his staff and are always very conscious of costs and I always leave feeling like I got an amazing deal for top quality work. Starbrite Dental is not a "dental factory" where they push patients in and out of the chair - at Starbrite, Dr. Xa and his staff do whatever it takes for the best result for each patient and spend all the time needed to care for a patient. My brother is autistic and has always had a hard time going to the dentist. The dentists that were recommended for special needs clients all wanted to sedate him - he has very bad reactions to drugs so I didn't want to do that. I took a chance and brought him to Dr. Xa. My brother didn't even get nervous, he was so relaxed he fell asleep a little and this is after a cleaning and having a tooth pulled. About a month ago I took my cousin for a tooth extraction. His wait time was under 5 minutes from check-in. His procedure went very well. They never tried to up-sell him and he said the process was completely painless. After his positive experience I have scheduled my own apt. as they are covered by my new insurance plan. The waiting area looked a bit run down to me which is probably not the best first impression but the staff was friendly. Today I went to see Dentist Hai Xa. The receptionist was again very nice. It also looks like the waiting area has improved. As I waited in the procedure room I kept hearing the dentist ask how long he had been there that day. As he entered my room he made absolutely no introductions and started right in. This is no exaggeration and a first for any dentist in my experience. Right away I experienced some pain and winced. He kept telling me my gums were the problem. As I winced again, he pulled back and started to berate me about the difference between pain and pressure. He was clearly agitated that I was having any reaction. The dentist's aid actually held my hand and expressed genuine compassion which was very nice. Thankfully it was over quickly and he walked out without saying another word. I am a long serving vet and have experienced more than my share of pain and drill/training sergeants getting in my face. The only worse dental exp for me was in Panama 25 years ago, and that dentist had a much better demeanor. My cousin was scheduled to return for dentures but we are looking into finding a new dentist. I also need dentures now and this was the first time a dentist did not at least try and set up a followup appt. to consider my needs. If you choose to visit the office I would recommend you avoid Dr. Xa. read more

We were in town from Chicago for our son's 21st birthday. He had a temporary cap on his front tooth, which fell off our first night in Vegas. We found an emergency dentist online and made an appointment for the following morning. We went and wound up sitting there for over 2+ hours, with the promise we'd be seen in another hour "or so". I went online and found Star Brite Dental. They were scheduled to close in 15 minutes. I explained our situation and they immediately agreed to wait for us to arrive and see our son. We arrived at closing time, and true to their word, they were waiting with a room prepared. Doctor Steven Do took his time and fixed our son's tooth. The work he did was excellent, and he and his staff could not be more understanding, friendly, or professional. We cannot thank Doctor Do and his team enough for going out of their way to help us and get our vacation back on track. read more

I took in my blind daughter and the staff was very good at walking her though all that they were doing. They took the time to make sure she was ok. Yes the dentist doesn't talk much but he gets the job done and I was worried about his chair side manner as I'm a patient of his but I was surprised. ZERO STARS. Waste of my time. I don't even know the dentist 's name because he never introduced himself. I came in twice one for the exam and the other for an extraction. First time i didn't want to sit down because the seats are FILTHY. So I sat on the edge of the seat. The front office is not welcoming. Very old and behind the desk is clutter. They did xrays and told me my options. Decided to get an extraction. I asked what the procedure was and I asked for sadation. They referred me elsewhere. Long story short I decided to just suck it up and get the extraction done at this office with just the numbing shot. I get there at 9a my appt was 915. The doors were locked even though they're advertise being open at 7a. I get in the back and sit in the chair. Lady comes in not saying anything. Rubs numbing gel around the area and leaves. Few minutes later the dentist guy comes in and asks if I'm numb. I tell him no. He says "well if I cannot numb you you're gonna have to see a specialist. Your infection is very bad and it's going to hurt." I just sat there in awe. He asks me what do I want to do. I told him I wanted the tooth out of my mouth. He told me it will hurt and that my infection is too bad. At that point I'm irritated. He says what do you want to do I told him he was the dentist what did he think I should Do? He said see a specialist. I asked him How come he did not tell me I NEEDED a specialist when he took xrays on the first day? Now you're just wasting my time. And with his attitude it felt like I was wasting his sitting in his chair. His attitude sucks. His office sucks. I think I just dodged a bullet. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! Do not go here!! Save yourself some pain and go somewhere else and pay the extra $20. Extremely unprofessional and rude, not to mention FILTHY!! Nobody even spoke to me the whole time I was there. I came, filled out paperwork, they called me back, i told them the problem with my tooth and I knew it had to be extracted since I can't afford a root canal. I asked for a full mouth exam as well since I know I have some cavities. They never did an exam. The assistant or whoever she was didn't speak English, came in to give me shots...was very rough and I swear up and down, she must have give me about 25 shots. That is not normal. Dr came it, didn't even say hi, ripped my tooth out and left the room. They gave me gauze and sent me on my way. Now I have dry socket and have gone to a different dentist to get it taken care of. I can't blame the dry socket on them necessarily, but I can say my office visit was a bizarre and horrible experience. I would never trust them to go back ever!!! read more

I went to Starbrite Dental after going to another dental office and having a horrible experience, Dr Xa performed a root canal and a coupke fillings. He was extremely efficient and did a wonderful job. There was hardly any pain at all after the procedure. I am very satisfied with his work.The dental assistants and staff were also very pleasant.
