    Private room - nice!

Karaoke time in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... We all got a chance to try a place that's new to us! Bliss Lounge on Dillingham Boulevard was a pleasant change of atmosphere! The clean, convenient restrooms and free shared parking lot (with Soul Chicken, Hana Tea, Lox of Bagels, and Yohei Sushi) were much appreciated! We decided to sit in the private room (instead of the lounge with the stage). The friendly female worker thought that we could make the $100 room minimum easily. Yes! We ordered the Chicken Combo (honey Chicken, French Fries, shoyu chicken, and mandoo); pan-seared ribeye (with mushrooms and onions), three diet Cokes, and a pitcher of fresh strawberry soju. Everything was delicious! Mr. Park helped us with the sound system. He was polite and patient with our questions. He also encouraged us to return on a weekday when soju is half off! LOL! Note: songs were $2 each. Feed the bills into the machine. $20 bills are acceptable.

Karaoke, Friends and Chicken...our own KFC! Gathering at Bliss Lounge is the base behind Soul...literally as the storefront for Soul Chicken where you can find amazing fried chicken is made in Bliss Lounge which makes this a unique find. Along with Nadine, Peter and a friend arrived in the evening on a Saturday night and was surprised how empty it was a very spacious place with lots of bar top tables, a few booths and even a stage the vibe is a dark bar dive scene but was greeted by a sweet lady as I arrived a bit early. She showed me their private karaoke room in the back and it was nice and big enough to hold 8 adults with comfortable a/c light dimmer though an annoying disco ball that we couldn't figure out how to turn off lol! Yes we decided on the private room and it's free with minimum $100 food and drink purchase and songs are $2 each and make sure to ask for the English remote though with the device way up top entering songs was the real struggle of the night. We ordered Boneless Chicken Combo with Mandoo and Fries, Pan-seared ribeye Steak, and I had to get some Homemade real Fruit Soju (Strawberry) and this carnivore feast was delicious so bring your tribe and come hungry and the time limit for $100 feast in the private room is about 2hrs...depends on how busy they are we were told. They were very polite but just felt a bit condescending many times over the period we were there.

This place is associated with Soul Chicken. Their fried chicken comes from here. Auntie and I stopped by Soul Chicken for lunch one day. They had a few tables on the outside. The really nice cashier asked if we wanted to sit inside in the A/C instead. We said ok. We were the first customers in there that day so she just turned on the A/C. Two other tables soon followed. It was nice on the inside and the booths were comfortable. They also have karaoke if you like to sing. This place must be busy at night. I went to wash my hands in the bathroom after eating the chicken. I was surprised at how clean it was.

Been enjoying the Korean fried chicken and gimmari sold here for many months now. Today I got to hang out a bit inside Bliss Lounge. The food is from the adjoining business "Soul Chicken" and deeeelicious! My favorites so far being the KFC and the gimmari. They also have mandoo, onion rings, french fries, pork belly with kim chee, pan seared ribeye steak, and more. Comfort bar food! Looking forward to trying more dishes. The inside is casual comfortable and set up for fun times with friends. There is karaoke available in their main lounge as well as their private room that seats "maximumish" 10 persons (Additional persons maybe able to fit but could get a little stuffy inside). Karaoke is priced at $2 per song so if you are planning to sing, bring your dollar bills for the machine! Located in the same strip mall as Lox of Bagels and Hana tea on Dillingham. Entrance is just across Chicken and Brisket. Hang out with friends, eat some yummie food, sing a little (good for the digestion! :-) Protip: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nites many drinks half off or greatly discounted!

We were looking for bliss chicken after buying mochi at a place nearby and was surprised it was a karaoke bar. Come to find out it's all the same owner and they serve the same chicken, but here you can get stronger drinks and the combo is a better deal. A very pleasant, helpful and funny woman greeted us and made recommendations, which we went with and were very happy. She suggested the combo for $39 and the strawberry soju, both great recommendations. Also told us all Korean drinks, such as the soju juice we paid $24 are half off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Definitely plan to come back then. It's karaoke/bar and interesting at about 1:30 pm, but liked the music.

Wings were crispy and tasty, watermelon soju was on the thicker side with lots of real fruit. Great ambience and vibe here. Host was friendly and attentive.

We were missing our chicken and beer nights in Korea, so we we came to Soul Chicken (inside Bliss Lounge if the outside is closed).

The food brings me back to Korea, when we would have chicken and beer several hours after dinner. We took it to go, but maybe next time we'll stay to sing a song. Note:. Soul Chicken is inside Bliss Lounge after hours. So even if Soul Chicken is closed, u can still go inside the Karaoke bar.

We decided to come here on a Friday night.. my bf and I just decided to make it a thing to go to different places for "pau hana" fridays right after work. They were slow for a Friday.. but then again this place is still new. For a bottle of plain soju is $12. If you want it flavored its $15. We got their house made fruit soju it's mixed with fresh fruit.. but at the time they only had strawberry. Yall it was $25.. lol. It's was alright if you like your soju with extra pulp this is up your alley. I don't have a picture of how it looks inside but I liked the vibe. Some week nights they have live music, and I heard their chicken here is a must try! Will definitely try that next time. Our server Sandra was very nice!!

Came over for a drink with some friends. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to find big table. It is very pretty inside, the decor gave me old Korean bar vibes. I heard they serve Soul chicken!! My favorite. This is a fun hang out place, will definitely come back. Perfect for my golf friends gathering.

Outside Soul Chicken window to order. Drink options on the counter.

This place is located on the second floor of South Shore near Nordstrom Rack. This place was spacious and had a bar style vibes. There is a bar counter in the back as well as a lot of dine-in tables. Dynamite fried boneless chicken bites: We got this on their happy hour menu. The chicken bites were good. It was large and meaty. The breading was good. Crispy and seasoned. It wasn't hot temperature wise though. Garlic bacon fried rice: Wow, absolutely love this fried rice. So much flavor and very savory. The yellow pickles in the rice were very smart. Adds some crunchy texture and tangy taste to it. Fish and chips: The fish was good, moist and golden crispy. The tsukudani aioli was delicious. A very different aioli sauce. We got an upgrade on the fries and chose the truffle parmesan fries. Good truffle flavor and the fries were thin and crispy. Not enough parmesan on top though. Overall, really enjoyed their foods. The portions were big and perfect for sharing. The service was not bad, our server was friendly but she did disappear afterwards so we had to go to the bar counter to fill our waters on our own. We were more wanting drinks and pupus so our selections fit that but I'm sure if we wanted an actual dinner, we would have also be satisfied with the offerings they have. My only complaint about our overall meal is that the cocktails didn't complement the food. The drinks on its own were good and the food on its own was good, very good but together, bleh.
