Walking in I could hear someone in the karaoke room that right at the entrance is cool the dining room isn't right against it is nice so that we don't have to fight some of the singing and we were able to enjoy our conversation easily. Looking over the menu it's quite a good variety of items that I didn't expect and though my usual go to is the cold noodles I wasn't that hungry and decided on "Glass Noodle with Vegetable Stir-Fry" which is listed under appetizer is quite interesting considering it's a huge portion along with some banchan the vibe here is jus so nice and relaxing considering we're just steps from the craziest intersection of Kapiolani and Atkinson right across from the Hawaii Convention Center. Service here is nice and polite the food came out fast and cooked perfectly and knowing that you're able to have some late night bites is a great option for many to enjoy along with karaoke if you're ever in a party mood. Karaoke in Honolulu, Hawaii... Trying out all of the karaoke places in Honolulu, my friend found Masil Pocha on her Yelp app. We all just tagged along. I read reviews on where to park - for free. The lot in front is shared with the Foot massage business. We went on a Saturday at opening time (5:30pm) without a reservation. We were lucky. I think it can get crowded. Located on Kapiolani Boulevard, across from the Convention Center, my first thought was that it's cute inside! The little lights were cheerful and the private rooms were brightly colored! The entrance isn't marked. Just look for the Green "Pass" sign from the Department of Health and the Hours of Operation posted on the glass doors. Service was quite good. We rang the bell inside our room and the guys took our orders and brought the yummy Korean cuisine quickly. Songs were $2 each. We paid cash into the machine and used the remote to search for songs by title. Since it was a weekend, we had a three hour time limit. Sunday to Thursday has no time limit! All rooms have a $50 food/drink minimum daily. It was a good experience and I think we'll be back some day! read more

So, this place was one of the only restaurants open after 10pm on Sunday evening while I was staying in the Ala Moana Hotel. The inside of the place has a strange vibe to it . Kind of dark but not too much. Some random hip hop playing with Anime on a big screen.. The service was really friendly, and I liked that you just had to push a button on the table to get service help. But, the food we got was not the best. I have to say that the chicken was flavorless and the potato pancakes were super oily. Not sure if I would return but thats just me. Wow! We were running around all day and woke up hungry and were craving some Korean food. We ordered Kimchi fried rice Spicy pork Kimchi tofu pork Everything was just spot on like there was an alignment of the stars and moon. This tastes like my cooking. The flavors played on each other, and the portions were above standard. Yes, we have food for tomorrow, too! We wanted to get some food after eating ice cream... we found this cute place. Frogs everywhere for their decoration. We got Ramen and Chicken wings. Hidden gem alert!!! This is a fun place to hang out, grab some drinks and snacks, and sing karaoke with friends! Visited on a Monday night and wasn't too crowded, although I hear Friday night can get crowded. They are relatively new (opened months ago), and they've nailed the atmosphere! It's very nicely decorated and feels very comfy and friendly. I got seated at the bar area and got the big wave draft beer and potato pancake. The waiter serving us gave helpful recommendations about the various menu items. They recommend getting the whole chicken or chicken wings, which I will surely try the next time I visit! The beer was great and the potato pancake surprised me! I couldn't stop eating it! It's simple with just cheese and egg on top but it turned out incredible! They also give you drink snacks like popcorn along with your beer (I'm told they do this in Korea). Next we went to one of the karaoke rooms. They have 2 smaller ones and 2 larger ones. They have both Korean and English songs, and an enormous selection! We sang Break Free by Ariana Grande and Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas... my throat was tired just from that! At the moment it costs $2 / song. With a group of friends I think it's worth getting a karaoke room! Service was very friendly and helpful throughout, from giving menu recommendations to helping with the karaoke machines. Shout out to Jen, Max, and Gabe! Also thx for playing Blackpink songs for me! There's a parking lot outside for a couple cars. I'm not sure where else to park once it gets full? Overall I highly recommend this place as a fun place to hang out with friends. Masil Pocha is located in Kapiolani Blvd next to Sura Hawaii across from the Hawaii Convention Center. You can find limited parking in the lot with the foot massage place. I visited for the first time last Thursday and I was not disappointed. This spot has a dining room, bar and about 4 karaoke rooms. It's a bit smaller than other karaoke bars I've been to, but that's what I like about it. It felt more exclusive and the service was fast. For food, I recommend trying the Kimchi Fried rice, Corn Cheese, and Potato Pancake with the egg. These were yummy! Everything from food to service was great. The workers are very friendly. The only thing I noticed is that there's no AC or fan in the karaoke room so we would open the door in-between songs. It can get pretty warm in there especially if you have enough people to fill the room. Not sure if it's like this in all the rooms or just the one we were in. We were at the convention center across the street and were looking for somewhere nearby to eat and stumbled upon Masil Pocha. Everything we ordered was amazing! Kimchi fried rice had large pieces of kimchi that was more on the sour side but we loved it. I'm still training to be able to tolerate spicy food and the waiter did warn us that the spicy chicken wings were on the spicy side and they weren't able to adjust the level but I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! Batter was perfectly flavorful and it was coated with what looked like a crunchy chili sauce. I would say it's more of a medium spicy and when wrapped with the mozzarella from the corn cheese, it took it to the next level. We looked around and there were a few karaoke rooms available as well. First time coming here last night, no one was in the front to greet you. I had to walk back out side to ring the door bell for someone to pop up lol. Servers said they couldn't see from behind the bar. Decor was pretty cute inside. Got seated, we were starving! We ordered cheese corn , butter squid, popcorn chicken, kimchi fried rice , kalbi and fries. Honestly most of the dishes didn't have much flavor. The cheese corn was the best. Love this place. Such a fun place to grab drinks with friends + the food is amazing. They have a bar with some tables near by and there are also private kareoke rooms. I think both are fun depending on the vibe. The bar/table areas are lively and are perfect for conversation. The kareoke rooms have a $50 minimum and to use them put $2 in the machine per song. The staff here are so friendly and seem genuinely happy to interact with people. My go-tos are the tteokbokki and the friend mandu. The tteokbokki is so comforting, and perfectly spicy and chewy . The fried dumplings are perfectly crispy on the outside and so juicy and hot on the inside. It comes with a dipping sauce that matches the dumpling so well. The kim chee fried rice is hit or miss depending on the day but on a good day it is the best thing on the table. The calamari is also a good food item that I think it worth noting- so juicy and tender. I think the only food item I wouldn't get again is the popcorn chicken because it was really tiny and didn't have much taste. Drinks here are a bit on the pricier side but I think it's worth it for the ambiance and the time spent with friends. read more

I apologize for not remembering the guy who helped us name.. but I was here on a Sunday night with my bf and my coworker and her bf and we sat at the bar counter and just chatted with him all night. We came to hawaii for a work event, and wanted to go out for some food and drinks the night we arrived there. This pocha was the closest thing to us that was open late, and also served food and drinks. It seemed like we were the only ones there the entire time, but there could have been people in the karaoke rooms. The guy was so friendly and chatty and helped us get what we needed, and gave us free jinro reusable straws! Haha. We also ordered bossam and kimchi fried rice along with soju bottles and makgeolli. Bossam was well done, but it doesn't come with lettuce.. :( the kimchi fried rice was good, but kind of spicy..?? Like chili oil spicy. Still good, we took the leftovers back to the hotel and still ended up finishing everything the next day. We all had a great time there and would definitely come back next time!
