Everything we ordered was great, drinks were good. Going stop by for their happy hour next. Only thing was the A/C wish it was stronger. Inside was nice had booths and tall tables for bigger party's with darts on the side. Service we good, and gave their recommendations for food and drinks.

Cars

Absolutely the best spot on island when it comes to fun environment, good drinks and amazing food. I've been going here for couple years and it's been the best hang out spot especially for the car scene peeps. Always a good vibe. The owners are so nice and always cares for us. The workers alone do a killer job at making sure we're taken care of even though we can be needy when it comes to their soju, which is hands down the best! Blessed to have them and you'll never be disappointed! Thank you Lei & John

Tipsy Pig Bar & Grill is an absolute hidden gem! Parking tip- if you can't find any street parking there's paid parking at king street parking (AirGarage)- $2.00 an hour. Located behind lobster king Came here with some friends for a night out and we were blown away. It's been a long time since I've been here and I wanted to bring my friends from Japan out. The vibe is chill and fun, with just the right amount of energy. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly service and great music. The highlight of the night? The watermelon soju served INSIDE a real, hollowed out watermelon! They use the entire watermelon, and it's not just for show it's refreshing, delicious, and perfect for sharing. Definitely a conversation piece and Instagram worthy moment. The pineapple soju was also delicious and refreshing. Food was on point, too. We tried the wings, fried rice, and garlic fries everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. After eating, we hit up the game area where they have darts and Max Tune racing machines (yes, the classic arcade racing game! It's similar to initial d if you've ever played that). It added such a fun twist to the night perfect for friendly competition after a few drinks. This place really has it all: amazing drinks, tasty food, fun games, karaoke, and great vibes. Whether you're going out with friends or planning a casual date night, Tipsy Pig is a must visit. Can't wait to come back! -Karaoke is 2 dollars by song and not a hourly room charge. It's hard to find spots like this. I believe there is a flat rate fee for 8 or more people in your party though. But considering you can reserve a room on a Saturday night and just pay for your songs, can't beat that. Special thanks to Jon the manager making our night amazing. You can tell he really cares about the business and is one of the kindest guys you'll meet. Love that guy. Everyone give this place a shot, you won't be sorry.

Where do I start? What a great addition to the food scene. Chef Kales new restaurant is a must try. Came here for the grand opening and everything we had was so delicious. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of pupus (appetizers) from the menu. Poke nachos- I've never had poke nachos with imitation crab and ahi before definitely would order it again, very yummy 4.5 stars*** Kahlúa pork quesadilla- crispy tortilla that was packed with very flavorful kahlua pork. Topped with a bbq sauce and sour cream. Would also order this again. 4.5 stars**** Soft shell crab Bao- came with two pieces. Crab was fresh and the bao was nice and soft. 4 stars*** Poke- probably my most favorite item of the night. The fish was so fresh and was just beautifully seasoned. The poke was so light yet flavorful at the same time. Would come back just for this. 5 stars**** We also had the wings and the fries but didn't really take pictures they both were crispy and flavorful too. Service was great everyone was so nice and helpful with what to order. The kitchen was a bit slammed with orders but they cranked out food in a timely manner. Very versatile place. They have a full bar if you're feeling like a few drinks and trying your chances with the games they have available. Or if you want to have a nice sit down lunch or dinner with friends and family. They also have a little private section if you want to have an intimate gathering for bdays or meetings. Parking can be a tad tricky with only street parking but we didn't have an issue finding any.

Tipsy Pig 2 Bar & Grill is seriously one of my favorite spots now. The happy hour is -- great prices, strong drinks, and the bartenders are incredibly hot. You have to try their special drinks -- Soju Watermelon and soju pop are my favorites They always have a special event on the weekends. Old school hot rods, e-bikes, rave nights, girls night. You can get a private room and sing karaoke we had an absolute blast! They got all the classics and new songs as well. The food is super bomb including pizza, wings, quesadillas, sizzling steak, tacos, and nacho fries. Whether you're just stopping in for dinner, a drink or planning a fun night out, Tipsy Pig 2 has everything you need -- good music, great food, and super chill vibes 10/10 recommend. Come for the drinks, stay for the party. Open everyday of the week from 5:30 pm - 2am.

Customer service was fine on a Friday. However, we were disappointed by the new kitchen vendor. Apparently, they have a new kitchen vendor, and they are not as good as the last one. We tried many dishes like quesadilla, sizzling mushrooms, steak, fries, mozzarella sticks, poppers, and etc. Portion size was a lot smaller and not as tasty as before. Everything else is still good, but it's a shame that they couldn't keep the former food vendor that was great. Hopefully they will improve. The room we rented that evening was clean and had good acoustic. It was $40/hr plus $2/song. There was a bigger room that was $50/hr. We parked on King St. We were considering hosting an event there due to the delicious food from the previous vendor, but we were disappointed the new replacement vendor wasn't as good.

The new kitchen is amazing!! We got the lechon which was my personal favorite! it was so flavorful and crispy. We also had garlic chicken and fried rice chicken adobo. it was so tasty!! Chef John is THAT guy! 10/10 experience

I originally heard about Tipsy Pig through folks I follow on social media and knew I had to drop in when I found out they have karaoke rooms! Not only that, but they are free to reserve! Songs are $2 each and that's actually a very competitive rate locally given the free cover/room reservation. The food is excellent, soju cocktails are delicious, and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I've gone back a few times for some of their seasonal cocktails and have never been disappointed. Tipsy Pig is also very popular with the local auto enthusiasts, so if that's your thing you'll feel right at home!

My husband and I stopped going out to bars since we stopped drinking and our work moved us closed to central Oahu. But, we come to Tipsy Pig at least once at the beginning of every new year because it's our best friend's favorite bar to visit when he comes home to Hawaii. Our friend groups also love to have their birthdays or any kind of celebration here, so Tipsy Pig is a consistent fan favorite among a lot of us. The outside is so unassuming but the inside is clean, well-lit while still keeping the low light bar atmosphere, and really suits us for something fun but chill. There is a bit of a homeless presence on the outside, but my friends and I have never had a problem with them. Also, even though it's limited street parking, we don't have trouble finding any, I guess most patrons prefer to stay safe and take an uber. As of 2024, the games available are a couple of crane games that look a little old, three dart machines, a racing game on the bar and a player vs player racing game which my husband and best friend enjoyed. It's one of those games where you can gain points and use those points to build up your own personal car. Apparently, at Fun Factory it used to be $7 - $8 a play, but this I $2 which the guys thought was a steal. From what I noticed, it only took dollars but the owner was kind enough to split our big bills. Also, if you win you do get a free play....I played four times in a row against my husband and guy best friend - do with that information what you will ;) Food and drinks have consistently been good. Before we gave up drinking, we always order soju and this time around I got a honeydew sojupop (soju+melona) since I wanted some dessert. Also, we didn't get to try the food since we were bar hopping this night, but the drinks and environment were a great follow up. I also saw a server bring out a sizzling hot plate and that made me want to eat some more so I could try that. All considered, Tipsy Pig is one of those bars I feel like everyone knows and loves and it's not hard to see why. Again, even though we don't drink we're looking forward to coming back for food, games, karaoke, or all three!

I've been here before for a karaoke birthday party so I was happy to come back! For this night, we were at a car show, it was late, and we needed to eat. The staff were great! My friend was observing Lent (no rice, no meat except seafood) and I'm a pollo pescatarian. Happy there were yummy options available for our diet restrictions.

Tipsy Pig II Bar and Grill is located along the left hand side of King St. There's a small parking lot behind it or random street parking in the neighborhood. Sooo... it was my first time here and it was pretty underwhelming. The night was really fun due to the amazing company we had. But overall, the bar experience was pretty generic. Probably won't return. We reserved a big room for karaoke on a Friday night for about give or take 12 people. The room had 2 fans to help with ventilation as there was no real airflow. A few TV screens and some lights for the "party" effect. There was a water keg on the side with cups for self serve. This was pretty nice. The first red flag was that there was no physical big karaoke binder available (like in almost every other bar). There was a piece of paper noted on the wall to download an app to see the karaoke songs. Most of our phones were running on newer software and the app was incompatible with our phones. A good amount of song numbers listed on the app were wrong. Which we realized after plugging them in. The staff they did help us find the correct numbers after we notified them. The second red flag was the food. There was a QR code that linked to the menu online, but the item descriptions and prices were not up to date. The prices have increased due to inflation which one server let us know. Though he wasn't too sure on what the current Happy Hour rates were. And all the draft beers that night were unavailable. Though what one server said varied from what the other server said. Who was right? Who knows. It might be good to have staff training, to get consistent answers to questions customers may have. The items we ordered... we didn't learn that they were not as described until after we received them. It was very "Duck Around and Find Out" DAFO. The Sizzling Steak sounded very good while on the menu. Though the temperature of what we received was wrong. It should be accounted that as the steak sizzles on the hot plate it'll continue to cook. So if a customer ordered medium, account for the additional cooking it'll go through so it doesn't arrive well. The steak was also kinda gray and sad :( The menu we accessed said there were mushrooms and onion that came with the steak but we only received onions. The Fried Calamari was spicy in a black peppery way. The Honey Mustard like sauce that came with the Shoestring and Waffle Fries was really good. Seems like the menu items need some over hauling. As the pricing doesn't really add up to the quality of items. A few of us noted the soju pitchers (carafes) also seemed very watered down? Like not a whole bottle of soju (the standard) was used? And the Li Hing Gummy Bear flavor was very Robitussin inspired. It might be good for coughs? Who knows... Unless you like cough syrup it's best to avoid this one. The most recommended flavor had to be the Ube one. OH! Also, I don't think they have any napkins there. Which is weird for a place that serves food. We didn't receive any napkins all night. So it might be wise to bring your own just in case.

This place is such a hidden gem. Cane here for my buddies going away party. Doesn't seem like.muchnwhen you come in, but the vibe is awesome here. We were taken care of instantly walking in. The food and the drinks were ono. This place is such a hidden gem!!

I booked a Large Room for my 12 group party. Upon arriving the man (unfortunately I didn't get his name) told me that my reservation is for 3 hours and if I wanted to extend, I could just let them know. Perfect, sounds good. Emphasis on the **I** could let them know if I wanted to extend. Any karaoke place that you go to, you're losing track of time having fun with your friends. Before you know it, we had gone to the 4 hour mark without anyone coming to inform us or give us a heads up. My friends went to the front desk to close my room tab and were told that because we stayed longer than the reservation time, we would need to pay extra. My friends then questioned "but no one came by to tell us that we were at the time yet". And another guy (also didn't get his name) said- "we only come to warn you if we're busy, but if it's a slow night, it's on your own to remember". Idk that's just pretty shady and bad business in my opinion. I then we out, not knowing the conversation that occurred when I was absent, and questioned again why I was paying for 4 hours if my reservation was for 3 hours and no one came to warn us that we were already past our time. Both men just looked down at their computers and refused to speak to me- I stood there for a good minute waiting for one of them to give me some type of answer, and didn't get anything. Yes I understand we're all adults, but just the fact that the type of environment makes you lose track of time- I just feel taken advantage of and I'm sure I'm not the only one who this has happened to. I just wish they had informed us of this "rule they have based on their level of busy-ness" ahead of time. Because any other karaoke place will warn you when it's almost time to leave. Ended up paying $551 for the 4 hours of singing. Their only saving grace and why they aren't getting 1 star is that they are BYOF (bring your own food).

A hidden secret…read more Our plans for private karaoke room at our usual spot was filled so this is the reason we are here at Cafe Den Mau. I've been here twice and my opinion it was fun but very interesting place. Recommended by my older brother who frequents Cafe Den Mau often. Located at the Yee Hop Plaza on North King Street, same building as Hawaii Dim Sum & Seafood, (after our dinner there) we went straight up to the 2nd floor. Note getting to Cafe Den Mau is a little sketchy, scary in the building but once you arrive its not as bad after all. hehe. You will enter a long corridor, the 2nd floor looks abandoned, old, but there are other businesses in this plaza. The size of Cafe Den Mau is small but perfect, there are a few tables, even a stage with disco lights, drums, and piano. Kind of like in Vietnam although I haven't been but this is what I heard from another customer. husband Jimmy and wife team runs the karaoke spot from 9-2 am nightly. ( best to call if you plan to visit, have questions, or would like to reserve a table or private party.) limited drinks, mostly beer and wine are available, free to bring wine with a fee. ( $20.-30) per bottle. We brought 3 bottles during my first visit with my siblings. You can also bring pupus. Selecting songs are easy, all digital. All songs are available, both our visits, seems like we all were happy with selecting our song choices. We all enjoyed ourselves, first time experience. We even went up to the stage to sing, dance and receiving fake colorful flowers with $1.tip. Fyi, If you do receive flowers with tip, that will belong to the owners. It goes back in the bucket for the owners. hehe. We visited the 2nd time with friends ( 2 Fridays in a row) the same impression, getting to the Karaoke spot, seeing the impression on their faces ( sketchy) but they actually had a great time singing, hanging out, observing the other party that was there. We bought 4 bottles of beer this time, didn't BYOB but I brought chips, dips and some desserts to snack on. The Heineken were $6. and Corona were $8. All in all, first time visiting a Vietnamese Karaoke bar and we will def. be back! Parking available in the back of building's private lot, after hours no need to pay the meter or street parking I know you wouldn't want to park on the street due to the homeless situation at Chinatown.

I actually had no idea that they had karaoke here-- I thought it was just a Korean restaurant, but the "Báng" here I am guessing corresponds to 방 in 노래방. All were tasty and paired well with whatever drinks we ordered, which included flavored soju. Servers were quick to check in on us and bring our orders. The mechanic of karaoke here is that you pay for each song, which forces one to be more intentional with singing, but at the same time makes on less stressed about cramming in music within a set amount of time. Strangely I had issues finding Disney songs. Maybe it's a licensing thing or just that room? Plenty of alternative songs and classics. The fried chicken wings were delicious- I've tried a handful of them. Garlic is a little too garlic (girlfriend destroyer). Spicy is good. Spicy shoyu is good. Honey one was super good. Their oden soup was really good. And their tacos were actually not bad- a little odd with some flavors but they were overall good. Fried mandoo slaps. I haven't really been disappointed by the food yet. Hope that stays true. Service was good- the staff make rounds every so often and kept our water and drinks filled. The staff remember me and always greet me warmly. I always feel like I'm attended to. Cons: It can get busy. Service lags when it's busy. The bathrooms are small.
