I recently visited Nail Bliss in Southfield. While the salon itself was clean, my experience with the male nail tech was very disappointing. I clearly explained how I wanted my nails shaped and specifically asked that they not be thick or lumpy, but unfortunately that's exactly how they turned out. Some nails were uneven in length, too large for my nail bed, and one even had lint inside the nail. I returned the following day to politely ask if they could be fixed, but the nail tech refused and told me there was nothing wrong with them. When I pointed out the issues, he became dismissive and unprofessional, even stating that he "didn't care." He only fixed one nail and suggested I come back another time instead of correcting the issue then. What made the experience worse was that the owner did not step in to resolve the situation or assist in any way. Because of the poor customer service and lack of professionalism, I would not return or recommend this salon read more

They generally do a nice job. Manicure and pedicure are well done. However, the attitude of the young man normally sitting by the front door is a problem. Often he scolds customers because they accidentally touch a piece of drying equipment. He is not welcoming and for a business depending on walk-in customers this is not smart. They are cheaper than most of the nail shops in the area and do a great job. They are pretty slow and there is always a wait. Quick Tip: Get there as soon as they open during the week and you will be in and out. They no longer have a lady to do eyebrows or lashes. Several polish options and they have tons of shellac color. Comfy pedicure chairs and they take their time and do a good job! I have been here a few times and never experienced bad customer service. It was busy but I didn't wait too long. Went in for a shellac mani. I was serviced by Lyn and she did a great job! I previously let a friend of mine do my nails for a while and she damaged them. I requested that she use a regular file instead of the electric one because my nails were so brittle and fragile. She complied without any hesitation! She even doubled the clear shellac primer coat for me because my nails were so damaged. Which actually helped them to grow out better and make my nails feel stronger. I don't know about the other negative reviews because my experience was great and the customer service was excellent! We laughed and talked the whole time! Ask for Lyn!!! read more

I called this business today to have my nails cut down. I was told the cost was $10 even when I got there and sat in her chair. This young lady at the second station from the front door right hand side took a drill to cut down my nails. do you know they sharp right at the edges. She take the file and goes straight across real fast I asked this lady if she could shape the edges cause they're sharp she gets mad and hands the file to me. I said no I came here for a service. i asked is there anyone here to file my nails correctly. She stated to me no one here is gonna do it. She then said my services were free and I could leave. I had my nails done somewhere else and only wanted a cut down and shaped where they wasn't sharp. I refused to leave because she literally messed up my nails. I have to work in the morning with patients and with my nails being sharp I would have cut my patients or myself. This lady calls the police and gives a false police report and states that I was bullying her and threatened her which was a lie. Do not give this establishment your business they are very rude and don't care. I was going her all the time for my pedicure and full set and never experienced such services. I have never had the police called on me in my life and at that a false report. They are terrible and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Received the absolute worst pedicure ever by Paul today ! This is my regular salon , every two weeks to get mani, pedi, and eyebrows. I prefer Gigi but today I just barely caught them as I am a barber so I took who was available. I was seated upon arrival , I asked him for the WiFi code so I could transfer money from my cash app to my bank account so I could tip nicely as I usually do , because I only had $40 cash . He told me they didn't have wifi , as if it would kill him to give me access for a quick moment . He started on my toes and he drilled on of my feel but not the other . He only used the purple and white stone not the grater even after I requested it. Did not file my toes evenly , and cut me a few times when trying to clean up my cuticles . There was no sugar scrub used . He barely even used pressed with the stone to get the dead skin off . Once he was finished he swished the same water over my feet instead on draining it and hosing me off with fresh water before painting my nails . The paint job is bad , he didn't get the paint into the corner of my toes and didn't go to where he started on the second coats. You can see the difference . When Gigi did my eyebrows she asked how my pedicure was and i told her everything ... she immediately starts speaking on her native tongue to him and in between I can hear her say thing I told her in English like cut and no good . He responded in native tongue and he laughed . It's crazy he cut me multiple times and no one gave a damn to even try to offer compensation . Or even apologize for the pain of being cut . read more

I apparently made a review back in Decembe regarding this exact same issue... I have been sitting outside this establishment since 9:55... this establishment is still not open when it says hours of operation is 10am.... It is not 10:31 and other employees in the shop are coming in. But they clearly have no key. I just asked what time they open 10 or 10:30.... He says 10. I said you do know its 10:28.... This man proceeded to walk back to his car and say I don't care..... this takes the cake I will not be coming back. If I do it will only be to see Lynn the only person here who has any manners. THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST FILL IN AND PEDICURE I'VE EVER HAD! Please let me explain. . . Just as it happens every summer, I've been given the daunting task of keeping up with an activities and social calendar busier than Wal-Mart on the first of the month. I'm referring to my son's non-stop lifestyle. He's 7 and I keep him busy with all sorts of cool stuff during the summer months. He can definitely scream from the roof top "My Mom Rocks Harder Than Yours!" In an effort not to be late picking him up for kick boxing I opted to stop in a nail salon that's in my area instead of visiting my normal nail shop. Upon entrance its clean, well lit and new so the chairs, carpet and overall environment was comfortable. It's also larger than most nail salons which is great. 1 Star! It was a Wednesday so I was able to avoid the weekend crowd. I walked in and was serviced immediately. 1 Star! The person servicing me SEEMED nice enough. 1 Star! She started with my pedicure first. Did an excellent job cutting my cuticles, cleaning the toe nail bed and shaping my toe nails. 1 Star! The polish is where her "#fail" began. Why should I have to ask for 3 coats if its a light color. Shouldn't you know that? Her technique just wasn't neat. -1 Star. On to the fill in. I should have known I was in trouble based on the way she removed the polish. She left residue from the old polish that I had to ask her to remove .-1. Moving on to the drilling, which she did too hard. She never once picked up an emery board. After she laid the acrylic her technique to smooth and shape the acrylic was ********* atrocious!! -2. I selected a darker color which helped conceal the poor shaping job (at least until sun light exposed the rest of the flaws). The polish coats were uneven and once outside I could actually see the shade difference. I can guarantee that she was distracted by the conversation she was conducting while servicing me. She ran her mouth the entire time - talking to colleagues who weren't servicing customers. I also didn't like the way she flipped my fingers. This is hard to describe but ladies know what I'm referring to. It's like she had an attitude or something. Don't be upset with me - find your arse a new job if you don't like this one! -10. I'm so tired of writing about how terrible she was I'm just going to skip to what I did to clean up her mess once home. Of course because the acrylic job was so tacky I had residue on my cuticles which I was able to scrub away with a nail brush. The only saving grace that was my toe nail polish was decent; as long as I stayed in doors you had no way of detecting that my nails looked like the surface of a bumpy cake. I hope you can feel the sarcasm in that statement. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but if you ever patronize this shop avoid her. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE!!!! I waited 30 mins before being seated in the pedicure seat, and it took them another 45 mins before they got to me. I asked for the manager, they've told me he was gone. I said I need to speak to whoever was in charge. The lady came over and told me they were doing the best they can and that they weren't giving me anything off, and that they could no longer service me. I told her I had been coming there for a very long time and You it's been slow the past few times, but today, was overboard ridiculous. She just kept saying they could no longer service me. I told her not to worry about it, because I will not be back. I asked for the manager's name and she ignored me, until I asked again, as she walked away. I stopped in Saturday evening hoping for a full set. New in the city, ran across this location while riding down Southfield Rd. I made a Detroit U to patronage this business. Sat in the seats in the front for approximately 15 minutes when i decided to leave. The reason i left was because not once did anyone ask or recognize my existence. Went here based on a family member's advice. When I go to get my nails done I don't expect the tech to constantly talk to me but they should at least say hello. The personalities in this terrible are not inviting at all. All they see are dollar signs when we walk in and this is not how I want to be treated. My daughter and I both got gel manicures. Mine as done station number 6 by a guy who's name I don't know because he never spoke a word to me. He applied the gelish in thick coats and flooded my cuticles. My manicure lasted all of 2 days before chipping. I went back to inform them of the poor job the tech did and had no luck from Linda or Brian. I stopped in briefly after taking my sick daughter to the doctor just to show them my nails of which 6 were lifting by day 4. I asked them if I could come back the next day because I had my daughter and was on my way to class. Brian seemed willing to accommodate me but his wife Linda refused. Terrible service I will never return. Oh and by the way my daughter's manicure lasted fine probably because the guy at station 3 didn't paint her cuticles.
