This past Friday was my first time going to this establishment. I went with one of my friends who is a frequent customer. As I walked in, my exact thoughts were "oh my gosh, what a beautiful place!" We were both greeted by employees who were kind and made us feel welcome. As a first timer at Bliss, I seriously could not feel any more relaxed. The amount of nail colors to choose from was beyond out of this world, it was truly fabulous! My friend got a manicure and pedicure, and I got a pedicure. Mind you, I very rarely get my toe nails done - because I'm super ticklish and it's a sensory thing. I chose to step out of my comfort zone and get a pedicure. So glad I did! Despite the feeling of having the bottom of my feet scrubbed the entire process from beginning to end was very soothing. The big massage chair is a plus, I have lower back issues and the relief I got was stellar! Purple is my absolute favorite color - so of course that's the color I chose for my pedicure. My usual go-to for manicures is a woman. For my pedicure, I had a male employee and that does NOT bother me at all. He was very attention to detail and made my experience a good one. Hard working for sure! I'd like to even point out that when my Yeti tumbler fell off the side table attached to the massage chair (due to the back massage taking place) he cleared off some space on the shelving used drying a pedicure and allowed me to put my Yeti there. To top it off, he would stop very few minutes and ask if I'm alright (the employee noticed I was in a little bit of pain, my left ankle sprain did not heal properly). This will not be the last time I set foot into Bliss Nails & Spa! It's gonna be my go-to for pedicures (and manicures if the woman I go to is unavailable). I called in the morning to make a reservation for 2 pedicures in the afternoon. I gave my name and was told there was plenty availability and the appointment was all set. When my friend and I showed up (5 minutes early by the way), we were told that they gave the appointment to two other girls that they just assumed had made the reservation and they could no longer take me. WTF? Absolutely will never go back. What's the point of taking appointments if you don't stand by your word and check people in? There was ZERO sympathy, it was just oops, tough luck. I went to Bliss a few weeks ago for the first time. The service was good and they are very welcoming. My nail tech, Nikki, was very quiet. I think she may be shy. She warmed up eventually and was nice. I got a basic mani with Zoya polish. It chipped the next day. I was disappointed. I called and was told "basic mani doesn't last." I've had backs mains that last at least a week to 10 days, so imagine my anger. I went back two days later and a lovely tech whose name escapes me redid two nails. We talked about natural nails vs dip or gel (I'd been getting dip for years prior to the pandemic. I love and miss them, but my nails are in much better shape without.) both of those nails chipped a day later. Sigh. Listen, the techs at Bliss are very nice and they give a great shoulder massage at the end of your service. The salon is clean and aesthetically pleasing. I just don't know if I'll go here again for a natural nail service, not would I recommend them for one. Dip, gel, etc, this is probably your place. Otherwise, save your money and find another place. The place was clean. I got a gel mani and a regular pedi. The gel mani didn't even last two weeks, I was very disappointed. I wanted a flower on my big toes on my feet and ended up with a white rose, no stem, leaves or anything. I was expecting more of a daily with a stem and leaf and maybe a little design. Not at all what I was expecting, but since the gel manicure didn't even last two weeks before it started chipping, I won't ever go back. Very disappointing. read more

I went in on Friday. I got acrylic over my natural nails. My nails were long to begin with and the young lady doing my nails had enough space to work with. She kept messing the placement of the acrylic and kept taking it off. She filed so close to my cuticle it was burning. She made the acrylic look so thick on my nails they looked like gum drops. The gel application was amazing. However... the very next day I notice lifting on one of my nails. So I check all my nails and they are ALL LIFTING !! Acrylics should last 2 weeks even more if you care for them. How does my nails not even last a WHOLE 24 HOURS !!! 2 days later 3 fingers have no acrylic and the rest are lifting. I paid over $60 and I'm very disappointed with the service. First and last time I go here. And I wouldn't recommend unless you like you're nail bed damaged and acrylic popping off randomly. read more

I have been going here on and off since I moved here in September. Every few times they don't do the greatest job. But then when they do a great job my nails look great. But I went in today to get my nail fixed, it hasn't even been a week might I add, they told me because I had the guy add a tip to it I would need to give them $5. It doesn't say it on the sign, and when I've had my mail fixed there before they've never said that. The girl who asked was very dismissive. So needless to say I will not be back. They don't use opi dip powder which always kinda bothered me, but I overlooked a few times. They use some off brand which will crack under the mail every few times which did bother me. But the asking to fix a nail not even a week old was kinda the last straw for me. read more

May did my spa pedicure and dip powder manicure. She did an amazing job and I love the results! Everyone there was nice and helpful. They helped me pick beautiful colors when I felt overwhelmed by the choices. The atmosphere was very clean and relaxing. You get to sit in a nice massage chair during your pedicure and they also give you a shoulder massage at the end while your nails are drying. May took her time on my nails and made sure I was happy with everything before moving on to the next step. I can't stop saying good things. New owners took over a few months ago. I have gone there about five times now. Every time I go I need to go back a couple days later because of nail chips this last time I had four nails chipped and they're not even a week old they don't know how to do French managers and not only that they don't even apologize when you go back after one day with a chipped nail they actually made me pay for the nail to be fixed the first time. They are extremely unsociable as well. No one ever smiles and they look mostly irritated. NEVER GOING BACK. read more

I took my granddaughter for a spa day for her high school graduation. We were able to spend quality time as we sat together and enjoyed having a spa pedicure. The people were fantastic and were very attentive. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had had a Spa. It's an expensive enough for my granddaughter, and I to make a monthly visit to spend time together! When I walked in with my mother (a bi-monthly customer) and they called me the Princess, I knew I liked this place! I had a manicure with gel polish and the basic pedicure. Nothing basic about either service. Top quality work and plenty of perks. Complimentary massages while nails are drying or soaking. Warm blankets to enrich the spa atmosphere and hot towels used many times in the services. I mentioned I had a picture of a design I wanted and Tony excitedly grabbed his polish. After chatting we learned of his many awards for his design work. He didn't let me down at all! The salon is clean and neat. Comfy chairs for waiting and due to the season, classic holiday decor. Every employee was friendly and went above and beyond. Multicultural and multilingual staff are a nice plus. I wish I could take the whole salon back to Dallas with me! read more

I have been going here for years and honestly am Not that impressed anymore. The staff is not friendly at all. I recently got a gel Manicure and it chipped within three days. A week later, several nails had chipped. Also, it is true that the music is awful in there. They must have one cd with horrible songs that they put on replay all day long. Best French UV gel manicure I've ever had. The place is immaculately clean. I called before going and informed what time I would get there. I was able to be seen at the exact time I specified that same day. The owner and the aestheticians are very accommodating, warm and friendly. My French manicure lasted for over 3 weeks. My nails could honestly have lasted for a month with no chips, scratches, etc., if it wasn't for my nails growing so fast. The massages were amazing too. Leah and Tony do an amazing job! I used to live in Newington and Bliss was very close to me. I started seeing Leah about 2 years ago. I'm a habitual nail biter and skin picker and my nails are always a mess. Leah does a PERFECT job on my nails fixing them up and never judging me! I always get a get gel manicure and I've never had a less than perfect job done. . Last year I moved about half an hour away and I have yet to find a nail salon as good as Bliss. I continue to drive the 30 minutes to get my nails done when I can because it is well worth it ! I love the chair massage they also give. Definitely worth it.. I highly recommend ! read more

My experience was extremely poor and the worst I have ever had customer service wise. The wife owner called my phone to ask if I could come in earlier, and in doing so I forgot my gift certificate and was told that they couldn't finish my service which was 3 hours long and I feel that they excluded something bc when I returned the next day I was there for an hour and I was there for an hour the first day of my service (total of 2 hours.) I was disappointed that I had to get another babysitter to return with the gift certificate in order for my service to be completed. I took the day off of work for my bday and regret it since I was supposed to be there for three hours but was only there for one. Either way, as you can tell, my experience was upsetting. I was sad walking out. I've never been treated with such poorly manner. On top of that, both the wife and husband were in my personal space when I first told them that I had forgotten the gift certificate. Husband was saying in a strong tone how my service couldn't be done until I came back with gift certificate. And now they called my phone and yelled at me after I wrote my review. I don't rate them a 5 simply because their Groupon "deal" was not really a deal. The service was great and I was happy with the outcome. I purchased the spa pedi deal on Groupon with a value of $60. I was told that the callus treatment was not included. It would be extra when really all of their spa services listed on the menu except for the basic include this. You are not getting a deal! I've been to this salon few times because of its convenient location and good reviews, and even thou the male tech did a decent job on my nails, he took a verrryyy long time. Don't waste your time on this place unless you have a whole lot of free time to kill! The owner (who wouldn't give me her name, just a business card with locations address and a phone number) has no customer service and no consideration for your time. I needed to get my eyebrows done for an important event that I had to go to so I called to make an appointment, and the time I asked for was not available so they asked me to come in 3 hour later, which I did. When I got here the owner came up to me and said "I just turned the wax machine on, can you come back in 2 hours?" When I got there I was little confused, but this place does a very good job and your nails. I would highly recommend it. There also cheap.

My mother and I live 80 miles apart, so decided to meet in the middle for a nice day out. We chose to begin out day at Bliss. They have a very pretty decor on in the inside. I couldn't find it at first, but it's right after the Kidco Child Care. I had Jocelyn give me a spa pedicure ($50). She worked so diligently and hard, and gave an amazing massage. My mother had the owner and a trainee work on her for a regular pedicure ($30), she wasn't as please with the female owner (the only one not in uniform) was very rude, and tried to upsell the callus treatment (for an extra $10). What really upset us both that she didn't ask my mother if she wanted it done, she asked me, like my mother can't make her own decisions. Color selection is ok, not a huge variety, and no fun summer colors, which I wanted. Good thing I brought my own in case I didn't find something I liked. If I was rating on my experience alone with Jocelyn, I would rate 5 stars. However my mother had a horrible experience, and on behalf I would rate a 1 star. Jocelyn mentioned she learned everything she knew from Mary, another hardworking employee, she suggested to call and make an appointment with either of them to ensure good service. Following the pedicure, at the drying station, you receive a shoulder massage, what a nice treat. My poor mother of course did not get hers. IF we ever go back, I'll make sure my mother get Jocelyn, and I'll get Mary. Don't bother to have the others work on you, I felt so bad for their other clientele. I actually watched one employee snatch the pedicure service menu from a women whom was still reading it, she had to ask for it back. We are going to get pampered not be treated terrible!!! The salon is located just past the bowling alley and Kidco daycare, it's new and is nicely renovated on the inside. It is relatively large, and has brand new everything. The pricing seems pretty average- Shellac gel nail polish is $30.. down the road the same one cost me $45 about six months ago. They take walk-in's, on a Saturday morning it wasn't too busy. The woman who did my nails was very nice, quiet, and took her time. I look for two main things when I go to a new nail salon- first, if they rush you in and out and you feel like they didn't even care you came. And secondly, if it is clean/sanitary. So far I'd give this place 5 stars for both categories, she took her time with each nail and in the end gave a great massage. And for every person they open a fresh pair of cuticle pushes/cutters which is so important because that's where the bacteria can get transferred. I would definitely come back, the color range isn't the widest.. probably one of my only complaints but overall especially for being on the Berlin Turnpike it is a great salon. read more

I have no idea how this place is so highly ranked. The place is not cheap and the customer service is lacking. Paid $30 for regular pedi and $36 for gel polish. I first had a technician but then the owner took over. I'm sorry but the person working on you should not be stopping constantly to pick up the phone. I was the only customer and there were three young women workers not doing anything. It was unimpressive service. I wouldn't recommend it nor would I go back. It wasn't relaxing or fun.
