She was nice and thorough double checking she was doing what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. I feel like for the price and speed, it's really reasonable. I have been coming here for years .... Everyone is wonderful . There is noother place that gives these wonderful massages . I usually end up tipping the person that massages me because they are so wonderful . The greatest thing is my gel nails ALWAYS last full 2 weeks if not longer using the CND brand! I have noticed that most places do not have this brand usually just OPI . I have tried at least 10 different salons between Berlin , Newington , new britain and rocky hill . This was my first time at the nail bar. I received a spa pedicure and regular manicure. All social distancing guidelines were maintained. Temperature checks before you enter and handwashing when you enter. The spa pedicure was $55. Most places they ask you what type you want whether it's tea or some other scent. That did not happen. My feet weren't even allowed to soak for 10 minutes before she was putting on cuticle remover and removing the cuticle. Feet were not allowed to soften up at all. I felt she was scraping my feet while they were dry. Bad. Clay was put on my legs with clear plastic wrap. Does that make it spa? Not sure. Two hot stones. One on each leg. Okay. Foot massage? Sub par. I felt like I was cheated at $55. On to the manicure. Well this is where there were 2 shortcuts I don't agree with. No longer soaking of hands. Hence hands and nail bed are not allowed to soften prior to cuticle removal. Nail bed actually gets damaged because of this. The manicurist used a little bottle of cuticle remover to soften the cuticles. It immediately dried. And then another layer was put on to emulate a nail bed soak. No washing of hands after cuticle revolver was wiped off, with what I assume is alcohol. Nail and nail bed were scraped with a too. Cuticke oil was applied, another sub par massage ensued. The total was $70 plus tip. The only good thing was that there is no tax if you pay cash. The manicurist preceded to paint my nails and then noticed the nail bed was not smoothed where she scraped it with the cuticle remover instrument. Had to start all over with that finger. Pet peeve. Not soaking the feet and hands long enough or prior to removing the cuticles. No more shoulder massages due to COVID. I was instructed to sit under a nail dryer, press the button 3 times (3 cycles) to dry the nail polish. The air was freezing. Not sure if that's a new thing. I couldn't wait to remove my hands from that dryer and go home and wash my hands. All in all, another COVID experience to add to my memoirs. read more

As a first time walk in and they clearly had walk ins accepted. I walked in one day to be turned away asking if I had an appointment? Why would I need appointment if you do walk ins? And if they had a huge party then why let people keep coming in to be embarrassed and turned away. Never will I go back again! And won't send anyone I know. Honestly probably not a bad place just had a bad first impression, which is why I would not be going back. I had scheduled an appointment over the phone was able to come in a bit earlier than scheduled time, but once i sat down in the chair thats when all the nonsense started. I was getting a pedicure done and had already gel on my feet, they charge about $52 for gel and about $32 for regular which i think is already over priced for what I actually got. I decided to go with regular and the lady then proceeded to tell me that its $10 to get rid of the gel on my toes when its not mentioned any where on the prices listed up front, then looks at me and waits for my answer like i'm going to tell her to paint the new color over my already colored nails. Once she finally starts, she make sure that the water is okay but spend like 2mins giving a massage on both legs. Once i'm finally done I end up paying $45 for a regular pedicure, compared to getting a acrylic gel manicure with design for less. Then for two days later the paint chips of my toe...... it's unacceptable to pay such high prices and not even get the moneys worth. Great nail place! All of the staff is so friendly and really makes you feel welcome. They have a good variety of colors and will always help you make the best selection for yourself. They have matching colors for gel polish and regular polish so that you can get your nails and toes to match. Very clean and al of the ladies do an awesome job. This nail salon is A++! You walk in and are immediately greeted. Everyone is super nice. The ambiance of the salon is very calm. Very clean and nice place to go get a manicure or pedicure.Sofi and Abby are doing an amazing jobs.

This place is pretty great. The people are very friendly, and do nails very well. My acrylic set was one of the cheapest and stayed on for 3 & 1/2 weeks. It gave my nails underneath an opportunity to grow without being fragile. However, I'm giving this place 3 stars because of how long it took. I had a man doing my nails, I didn't catch his name. He constantly got sidetracked with a woman working there named Snow. Nails should not take 2 hours and 30 minutes. Great people, but they should speed up and not get distracted. read more
