Today i had a horrible experience at Bliss Nails. I've been to Bliss Nails a dozen times before and had nothing but positive experiences and fantastic service. I am also the type of person that goes to the nail salons and goes to relax. I'm a very laid back person and usually go with the flow and trust the esthetician to make my nails look nice without any guidance from me. Today i went for a pedicure and a gel manicure. It was a young man who was going to do my nails. He took me to a chair to do a pedicure... first the water was freezing and when he asked "how the water was?" I told him it was a little cold... no big deal and easy fix. So in his attempt to warm it up he put the hose on scalding hot water and held it against my feet. Then the filter and bubbler wasn't working on the foot bath thing... so he tried to fix it while my feet were in the water. Again, No big deal except he was repeatedly banging the filter and fan causing all this nasty stuff to float in the water next to my feet and when i removes my feet and said the filter/fan looks pretty gross, he tried to get me to put my feet back in but i told him no. So he took me to another chair, but after a minute of him fumbling with how to cut my nails i said i would skip a pedicure today. I went on to do the gel manicure. I have long/ thick nails. First thing, He asked if i wanted to cut/trim my nails. I said yes. He then proceeded to cut my nails so short it hurt and i could see the soft pink tissue hanging out under my pinky and ring finger.. I didn't even let him touch my other hand. I felt so rude but honestly this place is sort of pricy and before i pay $70 for a mani and pedi i want to make sure it is a relaxing and positive experience, and not a chop shop. I asked for another person to do my nails and she was very nice but tried to cut my other nails so short to match the other ones and i was just too upset to deal with it. So i left with one hand that had my long nails and the other one looking like a 5 year old tried to cut my nails. I've now called another nail salon to see if they can try to fix my nails before the holidays. Love this salon! Feels super expensive but is standard prices. Great quality manicures with well trained staff! Getting a pedicure there is a real treat because the rooms are separated and they turn the lights off during the massage portion which basically puts you to sleep it's so relaxing! read more

I wasn't really too impressed with the job that was done on my cuticles. The person who did my nails barely cleaned my cuticles, and there was no cuticle oil or massage cream applied to my hands and nails. This was very disappointing because of how much money I paid to get my nails done. Because my cuticles weren't cleaned very well, the paint job also wasn't up to par. I've had better. It was a man who did my nails, so maybe that is why the outcome wasn't as good as it should have been. This was my first time at this place. Also, when he was done, there was nail glue still on my fingers. It eventually came off after a couple days of washing, but You should never have to leave a nail salon with nail glue on your fingers. What if I had an event to go to that same day. Anyway, I wasn't very impressed and I won't be returning. I wasn't sure if I was going to leave a review - I know businesses are hurting with covid. I waited a day, now looking at my hands, I can't not warn people. For my manicure, the woman used that filing machine for my cuticles. I've never seen that done before, but since I rarely get my nails done, I didn't question it. A few moments later, my fingers stinging, I see three nail beds bleeding. The manicurist barely acknowledged it. I didn't know what to say or whether it was something that happened regularly. I let her finish and left, tipping for the pedicure (that was amazing) and not the manicure. When I left and really examined my nails I started to get upset. I had a thumb bleeding as well and they were all swollen. The next day (today) I'm looking and I know that this polish will be gone by the time my fingers are healed. I paid a lot to have nice nails for a photo shoot, so I'm very upset this happened. Beware - don't let them use that file machine on your cuticles!!! I will NOT be going back. read more

I went to this place twice.My first experience was okay, unfortunately the person who did the service left for a client without warning me to dry more time on my toe nails as I got spa pedi and gel manicure. I have been here a few times before and the first two times I was there was good and the staff was friendly and did a great job! The place is clean and has a spa felt to it. But do not let that fool you.. the very last time was recent. the lady burned me so terribly with hot water when I put my feet into it that my skin got shocked! There was a terrible draft coming from the back door as i was getting a pedicure and she cut me multiple times! she also took what she was removing from my toes and wiped it on my feet and I am really not sure why!? I got upset and told her not to do that anymore and she laughed at me. She made me feel uncomfortable and did not try to help ease my discomfort at all. After the Pedicure it was time for me to do my manicure. she cleaned my cuticles and then asked me to pay her now I kindly declined and said "if you don't mind I would like to pay after I am done " she very rudely persisted and almost yelling said "NO YOU PAY NOW YOU HAVE TO PAY ME NOW" I said you know what I am going to speak to the manager and i spoke to the gentleman upfront at the desk and he was also very inconsiderate as to how my experience was already and also laughed at me and persisted that the type of experience I am having is nothing to be upset about but that it is normal and there is nothing he can do for me. So i said "okay I am just not gonna come here anymore" and he replied "okay" And they demanded i pay the full amount regardless of the experience I have had. Came here a few times for SNS/dip manicure and was very disappointed. I've been getting this type of manicure for over a year and it's never chipped until I came here. My long, natural nails were destroyed by chipped and I have to come to this salon 5 times in 4 weeks for appointments and repairs. I have been coming here since they opened. I had a gel manicure and left in tears. The tech refused to paint to the skin so it looked like a weeks worth of growth. When I asked him to correct it he said it wasn't possible. Then he said "I asked you if you wanted a 3rd coat." Started yelling at me. I literally left in tears. The manager etc. didn't apologize or check on what was happening. So after I paid for my overpriced manicure I said to the manager no one should be made to feel this way. They added a sign after I checked in about credit card machine This indicates to me a big problem. One has to pay cash or pay by Venmo. I know there's competition across the way (behind CVS) but this place is fantastic. Best pedicure with massage chairs and neck warmers and relaxing music and lighting. Across the way you're under fluorescent light like you're in grade school. Z gives a great foot and leg massage. I can't speak to this salon's mani/pedi skills but I would suggest passing on their waxing services. I had gotten my eyebrows waxed here twice and thought it was pretty decent. The third time I went, however, the wax they used was WAY too hot and she was spreading the wax too close to my eyelid. I didn't say anything to the technician because when she handed me the mirror I only had the normal amount of redness I get from waxing. About 3 hours later I was in SO much pain. I woke up the next morning with a huge burn that covered the whole area above my eyelid and parts of the lid! It looked like I had a black eye and was very painful. I'm not usually one to complain, but after spending $15 (with tip) on a terrible wax I decided to stop by the place and see if they would refund me for this wax. I was very nice about it and expressed that I thought it was an isolated incident in which the wax was too hot and the technician spread the wax too close to my eyelid. The woman was SO rude! She told me that I must have very sensitive skin and that it's my responsibility to tell the technician before coming in for a wax. I told her I'd been getting my eyebrows waxed for over 10 years and have NEVER been burned...not even a little bit! She insisted that it wasn't their fault but eventually caved and told me she would give me a credit, meaning I would have to go back to this place. Feeling as if I had no other option I agreed and hoped that it really was an isolated incident. When I went back a couple months later to collect on my credit the woman played dumb and acted like she had no idea what a credit was. I was pretty angry at that point since I didn't even want to go back to this place! After a few minutes, she caved, gave me the wax for free, and, yet again, BURNED ME! Station Landing has become quite the destination. My gym is there, a couple restaurants to choose from, a Starbucks. And now one of the latest additions, a nail salon. I got my mani/pedi here on Sunday, and as of today (Wednesday) I am still chip free! Their slogan is "experience the higher standard" so I took my mom here on Mother's Day to find out exactly what that was all about. I think they delivered, at least based on my standards. You check in and are offered a drink (water or soda). The place has a spa look and feel to it, which is nice. It's super clean, which one would expect from someplace new, but at the same time the cleanliness with the files, etc used was impressive. The massage chairs for the pedicure were amazing. I felt like I got an expensive massage while getting my toes painted. That alone makes this a deal! Speaking of massages, the leg and foot massage went on forever and included an exfoliating scrub. The prices are reasonable, $15 for a manicure and $35 for a pedicure. If mine continues to last I'll consider this a totally bargain! I don't splurge on manis/pedis often, but I think with this place in the area I may start going a little more often... read more

After long trials and tribulations, I may have finally found a nail salon I can finally call mine. My sister's and I went to Bliss for the first time for pedicures. I have not had a mani here yet but I will definitely be back for one! The service was great, water offered before you are taken to your private mini spa room (where the pedicure chairs are). There's usually 2 people to a room that is closed off by a curtain. The pedicure is allitle above average in price, $35 but worth every penny! Not to mention the massage. The lights are turned down for total relaxation and each leg gets about 10 min of messaging. Now that's what I'm talking about. I've never gone back to a nail salon more than a handful of times until I think hmmm, I'm sure there's someplace better. Well, after coming to Bliss Nails more than a few times, I won't be going anywhere else. SALON: It is super clean, there is nothing in this place that has ever made me cringe, or think I hope that is sanitized. I recommend making an appointment. Also, if you can go in the middle of the week around 5pm that is when they are slow. The staff never rushes regardless of how busy they are but I feel like they give you a little extra time when it's slow. STAFF: I've had Miriam a bunch of times for a pedicure, she is absolutely amazing. I've had other manicurists and they are all great as well. PEDICURE: the classic pedicure is one of the best basic pedicures I've ever had. First, you are taken back to semi-private rooms where the lights are dimmed except for a spotlight on your feet. (This is great for girl time - I love going with a friend or my mom, it gives us that exclusivity feeling everyone loves). After your feet are cleaned up, they put a warm wash cloth over your legs, the spotlight is turned off and you are given a massage on your lower legs and feet - SO relaxing! I would say the massage lasts for 15-20 minutes but I've never timed it. MANICURE: I've only received basic manicures here which are wonderful. They actually last me 3-5 days which is good for me because usually when I leave a nail salon with a basic mani my polish is chipped not even 24 hours later. All in all this is a great place to get your nails done if you don't mind spending a little extra money. In my opinion it is completely worth it. This is the BEST nail spa I've found in MA. I should tell all of you that I get the best mani/pedi in SF for $28+tip and here I'm paying $53+tip. But it's so worth it! I traveled high and low looking for a spa to live up to my J&J Nails in the Bay, but all that I found in that price range was such garbage (please read my reviews on spas in MA). I reluctantly walked into Nail & Co. 2.5yrs ago and they've seen me every two weeks since. It's exceptionally clean and relaxing. There are only two pedis per room and each has a small light that hovers right above your feet so as not to disturb the person next to you when they are getting their massage, as they turn them off during it, or just enjoying the treatment. I always see Nancy or her sister Lena. They are my favorites! I'm excited to say that they always have my favorite colors and when they don't I just grab it from the 'to purchase' shelf and they add it to their 'colors to use' shelf without any problems. Everyone is very nice. I can't enough good things about this place. You should check it out, but please don't book my girls up! read more

I rarely spend the money for a mani and pedi. To be totally honest, I like to paint my own nails and I'm a huge foot-wuss, who works diligently to get calloused feet so shoes don't hurt me. BUT - there comes a time in every lady's (or dude's) life when you gotta step up your game and bring in the professionals to make you look your absolute best. It's during those occasions (i.e. getting did for a wedding) that I take my ass to Bliss. The shop is clean, pretty large and a generally pleasant experience. Most recently, I got a bomb pedicure from Susanna - who was thorough and kind. My feet and toes were their prettiest for weeks afterward The toe polish was perfect for 4 weeks and would have been for longer, if my nails didn't need to be trimmed. I also got a gel mani which, while on the pricier side ($35), totally was worth it. My nails were shiny and smooth and perfect for three + weeks. Always a fantastic experience! read more

1 star for my experience I love Nails and co, they never having you waiting,...great nail techs and receptionists, ive been going for about a year and i usually go to kevin. He does my stilletto nails perfectly!!!! So I was going away for work for a few days and my nails had to be done(tow up) so kevin was on vaca for a few days and i had to go to Danny. Danny is a young fellow, he has done my sisters nails and they always look amazing so i figure why not. worst thing i could do. one nail i needed to get fixed, he made it way shorter than all my other nails. its deformed and thick(acrylic)..he did my refill and left all of my nails thick with acrylic and lumpy...he didnt clean them so they were left dingy and gross!...then to top it off, he took a hour and a half to do this!!! when it normally takes 30 minuets!! wtf? i was so angy because i had somewhere to be. He saw that i was annoyed and he's like sorry but you want your nails to be fixed right? RIGHT? you shouldnt be tazking this long on a refill!!!! and then after when im like how much is it i need to leave...hes like you dont want any nail polish?? no mofo!!! you just took ten years on my nails...i have no time for that..and even if i did wtf i look like with lumby bumpy nails lol i had to still pay the steep $25 for this!!!! needless to say i didnt tip him and i will be back after my trip in a couple days to have kevin fix them. and to let them know ol danny boy has no clue what hes doing. they are horrible!!!! lol read more

I'm no nail salon expert, but bear with me here: I went in for a pedicure and manicure, and was shocked to find that the chemical laden atmosphere I'm used to in salons was quite subdued. It was almost new-agey, if a nail salon can be new-agey, with bamboo plants, mini water fall fixtures, and calming colors. The owner offered me a drink when I walked in, and though I'm not a soda drinker, I accepted a cold bottle of water from the mini fridge hidden beneath the front desk. The pedicure was deliciously indulgent, with a heated massage chair, table for my drink, and the requisite choice of celeb magazines. I can't remember the name of the woman who did my pedi, but she was extremely sweet and talked to me about my engagement party, what muscles hurt in my legs (followed by a kick-ass massage) and life in general. The manicure was a bit less fabulous, and I felt slightly out of place amidst the evil looking acrylic sanders and the flying dust from fake talons. I did get a nice shaping, buffing, and mini hand massage (they are big on this... can you tell?) before having my nails painted. It wasn't the best paint job I've gotten, so I'd probably just go back for the pedicure. I've been a regular client here for over 4 yrs. My favorite nail tech left, so I now see Lesa for manis/pedis. They are usually pretty good about honoring appt times, so def make an appt well in advance. Pricier than your run of the mill $35 mani/pedi combo, but it's usually worth the extra price, at least for the pedi, IMO. read more

I work close to the Burlington location of Nails & Co, which I like, so I decided to try the Medford location (close to where I live), in the hopes that they would be as good. I was rather disappointed to report that, although the prices are the same, the Burlington staff is far more friendly and skilled than the Medford location. I got French manicure, which lasted only 2 days on 2 of my fingers. I've had experiences with the Burlington staff that lasted over 10 days. I've since found a place in Medford that is cheaper and better technically, so unless I desperately need a manicure on Sunday, I would not go back to the Nails & Co Medford location. read more

I haven't been to this salon since before Covid Shutdown. I just went for a regular manicure this week and was disappointed in the service. I get so frustrated with salons that give "Fake" manicures and pedicures. That was what this was. Didn't soak my cuticles, no cuticle remover, didn't have me wash my hands, didn't lotion my hands before polish, barely scraped my cuticles (I have a couple of hard spots that always need scraping). The manicurist gave zero effort at all. The end result of the polish was good but the rest of it (the reason I go for manicures) was barely anything. Not cheap, but worthy of a special occasion with a friend or relative, or simply for the extra convenience if you live at Station Landing like me. $18 for a regular mani, $35 for a regular pedi, $50 for gel nails period. I haven't gotten any mani-pedis in Boston to directly compare, but I know there are lots of places offering $35 for a mani-pedi combo alone. You pay for what you get though here - I could see the $15 difference in that my girlfriend and I were seen in little "rooms" with privacy curtains, massage chairs and ambient lighting. Felt very nice so we didn't have to listen to any other customers' conversations. And the nail technicians we both had spent at least 10-15 minutes massaging our legs. It was pretty great. My girlfriend got a gel french manicure that turned out beautiful, and she reported her technician was such a perfectionist, re-doing and re-doing the edges if they weren't perfect the first time. My regular manicure lasted almost 2 weeks with regular hand-washing and wear and tear, and my pedicure is still going strong. I might not be a regular due to the price, but I'll be back at some point! read more

I'm in love with this nail place. I've tried others and to be honest, this is the best one. I'm Brazilian, and i like my nail WELL done, including cuticles and all. I've been there a couple of times and did my nails with 2 people. Lena and Avon. They are GREAT! I did dip gel the first tim w Lena and she did exactly what i wanted, which was very natural looking and Kylie Jenner looking nails. And she did exactly that! (If i find a picture, i'll post it) and i did gel mani a couple of times there too with both after i removed the dip gel, and of course, it came out amazing. I did a nail design for the first time with Avon and it came out amazing! I tried other nail salons and it doest last as long or looks as good. I heard such great things about Nail and Co from girls at my office in Medford... I went there after work one day at about 6:00pm for an appointment with high expectations! I had to wait 20 minutes because they were "behind schedule." Finally someone took me in... they put me in the first nail station which is right by the front door and the entry way, so the freezing damp wind kept blowing in on me making it a not so pleasurable experience, especially since it was pouring out! Additionally, the nail polish bottles were to the left of me, so people kept bumping into my chair with their wet raincoats. Wonderful. The woman doing my nails rushed through the manicure.. slapped lotion on my hands with no massage and told me to wash them. I then asked if I should pay at this point before she painted them and she said no. I had to go digging through my purse for my wallet after they were semi-dry because she wouldn't let me pay ahead of time... Needless to say the nail polish chipped within 2 days of getting them done there. This is not after I cleaned my whole house or washed dishes for an hour straight. 2 days later I went up to my favorite nail salon, Pro Nails and Spa in Woburn for a mani/pedi which lasted me 2 weeks. I will never go back to Nail and Co!!!!!!!!! What a rip off for a crappy experience and lame paint job. I have been a loyal customer to Bliss Nails, getting a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrows waxed regularly. The past few times I stopped myself from writing a review when I have been dissatisfied, but kept giving them another chance because the location is so convenient-close to home with plenty of parking. I don't know if there's new management or what but this place is completely different than what it's been a year or two ago. I feel as though it's more like a factory than a spa. What really got me going was my last visit there for the usual-gel mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. Same girl did all three. She started with my eyebrows (she has never done my eyebrows before. I usually go to Patricia-who is AMAZING but she was gone on maternity leave and my schedule never matches up with hers anymore) the whole eyebrow wax experience was rough. At the end she held the mirror for me to see. Tried to hold the mirror she pulled it away...weird. Then I get home and noticed the ends of my eyebrows weren't even touched! I still had little hairs in places that should've been cleaned up. Pedicure was fine until the next day....my feet didn't feel nice and fresh like I had just got a pedi. I felt like I already needed another.... Manicure was ok. I asked for a round shape. I don't know what kind of shape she gave me but it was so uneven and of course I didn't realize until I got home. My fault but after working for 12 hours that day my attention to detail wasn't that great. So then comes to pay....$106 for all three services. WHAT?! Since when does Bliss Nails charge that much? Sorry I'm not in Boston, your prices have never been that high. I would've normally gone back the next day, I mean I just spent $106 before tip and I wasn't happy with either service I received. But unfortunately I left at 5am the next morning for vacation and by the time I got back it was too late to complain. So out of curiosity I check the website and there's a notice that they had to increase their prices. I have been wanting to look for another nail salon but just couldn't give up on Bliss just yet since I've been going for such a long time. This was the final draw I don't think I can ever go back to Bliss. I'm still giving Bliss Nails two stars for two reasons. First, as mentioned earlier, Patricia is amazing at eyebrows and manicures. She always made sure to fix any flaws and would even do nail art on the whim without whining and complaining (like some other girls). Second reason is the receptionist. I'm not sure of his name but he knew me on a first name basis. One day their credit card machine was down and I had no cash on me, the manicurist asked if he could write down my card info and process it later....UM WHAT?! Do I look that dumb? I ran in here for a manicure the other day after work because I was in the area seeing a client. The place looks great, but the nails did not turn out so great. When I pay $18 for a basic mani, I want perfection. Instead, the nail polish was thinned out and basically empty so my nails have streaks on them and the polish color isn't very vibrant. I CANT STAND when places dont replace their polish when the bottle runs low! Instead they are being cheap and trying to stretch it! Think about it - a bottle of OPI or Esse probably costs them $1-2 bucks a pop and they probably a few hundred bucks per bottle! I always get the same color, so I simply asked for it and they grabbed it - I should have checked. My friends and I love this place. You can get off of Newbury street, the atmosphere is beautiful. And they address the uncomfortable problem of getting a pedicure in an open room full of people. They have quasi semi private rooms towards the back, so when you rev your massage chair on high, or giggle while they scrub your feet, the entire place will not turn around and glare. Even though this place is a little over priced, it's definitely worth the price. A pedicure for $35 that includes a 10 minute massage (I timed it), 5 minutes on each leg/foot is most definitely worth every penny. The atmosphere is both comfortable and fun. For a gel manicure you're looking at spending $35, but mine last longer than they do at most other places I've gone to. 2 1/2-3 weeks is how long my polish stays in tact. Not to mention they have TONS of gel colors to choose from. I have brought friends with me to appointments and they won't go any where else anymore. The best mani/pedi in northern Boston! I have been struggling to find something I like since moving from Southie and I finally found it!! Bliss spa gave the most incredible pedicure- they do not skimp on effort- massaging and making your nails perfect. I live in LA and am completely spoiled at my Beverly Hills nail spa so when I found myself needing a color change/ acrylic fill / gel mani & pedi along with some festive New Year's Eve designs in Boston I was...doubtful that I would find a nail spa that could compare. Boy oh boy how I was wrong! I was referred to Bliss Spa and was blown away. I had one of the best pedicures I have ever had in a super relaxing, private spa room. I showed my artist JEANNE (she's amazing!) a picture from Pinterest for inspiration for my nails and she actually put the picture to shame. Free handed the most consistent lines I've seen in quite some time and was super sweet and excited to meet my wants and needs. I came for a pedicure. I'm relatively pleased . It cost more than most places but I like the additions. Which of you went somewhere else and got the additions it would probably be the same price. They have nice chairs and the remote actually works and does what it says instead of some random massage. The thing you cant beat is the semi private rooms. They have warm neck pillows and extended massage. They use the callous cream and the salt scrub. They carry everything for you and give you water. they use great products. read more

I sat there, my nails drying under an excruciatingly warm heater, with a light who's bulb flickered on and off every few seconds, I turned to the lady next to me and then to my friend, "I'm gonna yelp the shit outta this place!" We then had a lengthy discussion with the lady next to me about Yelp and how much I loved it, and all the UYE's ecc. I love talking to random people about yelp. It's awesome. We walked in through the back door from the parking lot, and up to the front desk. Told the friendly guy at the front desk the name our appointments were under, and he asked us to pick out colors. We walked over to the wall, overwhelmed with decisions to make. It had been a solid year (at least) for each of us to have been pampered by the one-two-punch of a mani/pedi! The excitement? Palpable. We chose a light pink color, and sat down to wait for about 3 minutes. We were early and though the guy at the front desk kept apologizing to us about 'running late' and all kinds of other issues they were having, we were totally at ease and loving every moment of it. Kicked back in a little alcove with two pedicure chairs, my friend and I started the back massager chairs (her's was broken, but was quickly fixed by the nail tech who was about to start her pedicure) and stuck our feet into gloriously warm water. Before the nail techs even sat down we decided that we would make this a regular thing. Who cares how much it costs. It's so relaxing! The pedicure was nice, took a decent amount of time, but my feet have rarely (if ever) have looked as nice as they do currently, so soft, felt so clean and fresh! The lady, named Michelle, who was doing my pedicure told me it was silly to put nail polish on my toes (due to several broken toes and mishaps involving my feet in the past, I have almost non-existent nails on my smaller toes, most ladies just put paint on my skin and pretend I have nails) she said it would be healthier if I just keep getting pedicures and forget about the nail polish all together. I agreed and went with it - it was not cheaper to get a pedicure without polish though, which is interesting to note. She did however compliment me several times on my finger nails and how nice they looked (in comparison) and how much nicer they would look with fewer cuticles. I think honesty is a good policy. The lady who did my manicure was a little more quiet than the lady who did my pedicure, and at one moment they were both working on my nails at the same time! I felt like royalty, or something, it was a bizarre feeling, but I can't say I didn't love it! I want to go back as soon as I can rationalize going and get some gel nails (I spoke to a girl who had just gotten them, and they were about twice the price of a mani, but lasted WAY longer) and get another pedicure, cause there is nothing better than a CLEAN spa like atmosphere, right down the street from your house, where you can be totally relaxed and come out feeling girly (in a good way) and a bit more put together than you walked in! The only weird part was when they started to massage legs and feet during pedicure, they turned off the lights, which then went right back on when the nail tech for the mani walked in... dimmers, or keep um on all the time, I think... I am going to become a regular here, you best believe it. Total convert, they had me at "yes, we can take two for mani/pedis at 2:15" --- I suggest calling more than an hour in advance (like I did) because they are incredibly busy on Saturday afternoons, by the looks of it, and I don't even think I'll be that lucky when booking again. I will now go on to spread the word of Nails & Co. to EVERYBODY I know who has nails! read more
