I am conflicted on this one... Came in for a walk in. They told me to come back in an hour or so. Came back told them I wanted a dip manicure. The nail tech I had was named Ha. Didn't talk much but seemed like a very nice lady. What I did like a lot: she went back multiple times with the cuticle nipper. And she went under and around my nails with a small ball shaped drill bit. But as much as I appreciated the attention to my cuticle skin, she often went too hard and hurt me. I had 4 places on my hands bleeding by the end. She also put gel over my dip which is strange to me. I purposely get dip because it's stronger and I need it in my line of work. I also do not like the UV light on my hands. I asked her about it and she said it was normal to do. When I checked out, I asked that girl if they always put gel over dip and she said yes. I travel for a living and I've just never seen that, but maybe is regional? Either way I think it's something that should be asked. At the end of the day, my nails aren't terrible. They look all right from afar, but when you look close, they are lumpy and miss shaped and I have cuts all over. There's so many good reviews that I'm confused. Am I just one of the very unlucky few? Or maybe the bad reviews are just from specific nail techs? I don't know, but I just wanted to give my honest and fair assessment of my experience. (Also no music or anything playing. While the tech was friendly the end result left much to be desired. I hate leaving negative reviews. I'm a flight attendant and stopped in on a layover for an acrylic fill with gels. 2 days later my nails are chipping and I've noticed some indents and inconsistencies as well. The process was great had they lasted more than 2 days. So now I'm off to get them fixed. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. I called last minute for a manicure and pedicure because I was stuck in Boston for the night due to flight delays. I sat in the chair and she did gel polish only. No water, no scrubbing, no GLOVES, nothing. Rubbed some oil on my toes and heels after the polish was done. What? The we moved over to the station to get gel x and there was so much glue/gel, whatever it is, the plastic nail was sitting like a 1/4 inch above my nail!!!! I knew it was look like a bubble even after they were done. I asked her to remove them and I left. I was charged $35 for gel polish only my toes. read more

I had 2 lifting nails so I decided to refill and in Boston, hun you put yourself outta your misery due to their TRAFFIC and go wherever is closest, lucky Luxury Nail Bar was across the street from my hotel. I was a walk-in so I was asked to wait 30 minutes, I needed to get me another pair of Apple earbuds so I used the opportunity to walk, yes walk behind the shopping strip to Target. One thing I must give Boston credit for is their good weather, they complain it's hot but being from Texas babeee I don't mind getting a feel steps in while popping my bubble gum. I returned and immediately received the attention my nails truly deserved and took advantage of a quick polish change on feet. They offered new and trending nail colors which I like instead of taking a chance of nail designs. My tech was really nice and able to chat and work at the same time, I was really pleased with her work. I'm rating them 3 stars because with 5 days, 2 nails just broke off. I know me and it wasn't me mishandling my nails it's the quality of the products they use PERIOD. There's no denying it's their products because when I can look at my nails and they have mysteriously just break off, ITS THE CHEAP quality of product. When I look on the floor of my hotel room floor or bus floor and see my broke nail it's the product not my mishandling of my nail. My service was very inexpensive which tells me they don't use high quality products and believe in quantity not quality, it's ok but I got exactly what I paid for. Check out the buffet next door, they da chiiii! Over ten plus years later I've been coming here. They're closed Monday and Sunday just a heads up. Linda is my nail tech and Ha is my pedicure lady, Ha is an amazing person that will get my ingrown toes nails fix but she'll nick you and can't promise if you'll bleed or not... it happens oops. The salon was pretty and clean, but I asked her multiple times to shorten my nails and they're still really long. I wish I had been told it was extra for the French manicure. This location is in a plaza (The Shops at Suffolk Downs) with plenty of free parking. The location does take appointments and I would recommend them. The salon does all the popular nail services. I got a spa pedicure ($60) and a gel manicure ($30) and that took just shy of two hours. The staff were wearing masks and maintained a relatively clean shop. I was happy to see that the pedicure chairs were wiped down after each client and that the bowls got their own plastic bag/wrap per client. I was disappointed with the reuse of metal tools / not freshly sanitized tools. You can tell the tools went into the same pouch after each client. I was happy to at least see disposable pumice/files/etc. They give these disposable items for you to take home. Overall, this is better than a regular chop shop but not perfect and pristine. I would recommend this shop if you're looking for a bit above average service but be prepared to hear the technicians talking the whole time in their native tongue. I came here for the first time today, and I am impressed with the job done, but there are too many bits and pieces "missing" in the experience to give it any more than three stars. The tech did an excellent job on my nails (matte black gel manicure). I do have a couple of critiques though. - I would have preferred warm water to soak my nails in. - They charge $5 to take off current gel. - They didn't have a whole lot of UV lights, so I felt that they rushed so my friend could have her nails done too. This is especially evident when my nails weren't dry, but the tech started the hand massage. This didn't let my fingertips get any sort of lotion, which left them super dry, especially with getting the old polish taken off with acetone. A few miscellaneous notes: - The seating is unique. There are several rows of two seats. They would be too close if I were to be sat next to a stranger. - There were not a lot of sample colours, so the selection was less. - They do not have any type of rewards cards, so you are never "rewarded" for going many times. - the staff is friendly and everyone seems to do a good job. Called for an appointment on day of and they were able to accommodate. However, I was disappointed by the quality of the service received. I had gel polish on and my technician drilled it off instead of soaking my nails in acetone for gentler removal. I asked for a design and was very disappointed in the design, even after I asked for it to be fixed. When I called for the appointment, I mentioned I wanted a design hoping they'd allocate someone who knew how to do nail art, but I feel like I could have done a better job myself (it was not a complicated design). My polish has bubbles and some nails have already begun to chip, the top coat was applied haphazardly and I had to peel the residue off my skin afterwards, and at one point my technician smudged one of my nails but didn't even notice and when I pointed it out to her, she just applied another layer of top coat instead of fixing the polish itself. I would not return to luxury nail bar again. read more

I called to see if they had any availability on the Wednesday before thanksgiving and they did! I arrived around 10:45am ET. I am still on my hunt to find a good pedicure place so I was hopeful because I won't know until I try! $40 for a regular pedicure with Sien. What I look for in pedicures are how they remove calluses, shaping, if they target ingrown toenails and how they attempt to remove them (if at all), paint job, care handling, and some more I can't think of off the top of my head. Sien used a machine to remove my cuticles, this was my first time! I understand why people say it's uncomfortable but I trusted her process. She targeted the sides of my toes and my ingrown toenails, trying her best to remove them. I really appreciate that! She used the grater and pumice block, really getting those calluses. She was so nice throughout my entire experience and she listened to me, my heart. Sien was careful and considerate of my wants and experience. She even asked how I felt about my nails coming out. Went for a pedicure last night and I have to applause them for their protocol post-COVID. I walked in and they sprayed my body with some disinfectant mist, had me use hand sanitizer and then sign a waiver noting my appointment time and date (in case I get sick). The pedicure was relaxing, although a little painful when she was pulling out my ingrowns. Even the next day my toes are a little sore. However, the rest of it were great and my feet felt so soft! $38 for a pedicure (reg, not gel) is a little high, but great, safe experience!! read more

They're scammers. They literally charge $3 for a nail file on top of the regular manicure price. But don't say anything about it. That is actually illegal-- consumer protection laws state you have to make full price available and clear demarcate add ons, which they did not do. The manicure is mediocre at best and i have bubbles in my nails from the layers of polish not being applied well. I will never return. read more

I will start off by saying that I've had two different experiences here. My first appointment was amazing, Phong took her time and provided the service I asked for. My second appointment, I decided to get dip, SNS marble design and because I've seen Phong's work with this specific design I specifically made my appointment with her- not only were the results horrible and poorly rendered, she was not willing to change nor fix it. My birthday nails were a complete FAIL! She was extremely distracted, she did not have all she needed to do the design I request (even though she knew what I wanted when I made the appointment a month in advance) and used a permanent marker on my nails. This is my first time here since they changed ownership when it was Duong's Nail Salon. The decor has stayed the same and it looks like the nail techs are still the same as well. I really do love this place. The place itself is luxurious and the prices are to match; it's more expensive than some of the other nail salons I've been to for example a regular manicure is $18. I came here because I wanted to try SNS nails. I had no idea what is was but after seeing the pictures on yelp and looking at Youtube, I knew I wanted to try it. It seems to be longer lasting and better for you than Gel/Shellac. I came in and didn't have to wait at all, it wasn't empty though there were already a good amount of people getting services done. I wanted to do SNS manicure and a regular pedicure. I also wanted something that would match and luckily they had a brand that had powder colors and matching regular nail polishes. My nail tech, I believe her name was Linda, was really great. She did my pedicure and took her time, gave me a nice scrub, and it came out looking nice. For my SNS manicure, I had no idea how time intensive it is, so if you're getting it done, expect to be there for some time. It involves a lot of steps but at the end, I am in love with my nails! It feels so light but so sturdy, I don't feel worried that I'm going to chip my nails and apparently it lasts for 3-4 weeks. As much as I liked Phuong and the beautiful salon, I was pretty disappointed with how my nails came out. They are very, VERY thick and much longer than I ever keep them. She kept saying she was going to file them down after, so I kept waiting. But she never did. I would have asked her to, but she make the white portion so small, if she'd filed it short enough at the end, she would have removed the entire white section. It has only been a few days and a couple of my nails have already spidered. The cost was the highest I've ever paid for SNS - $60!! I'm used to $35 at other salons that I like. The salon is located in a strip mall. Easy to find with lots of parking. The tools could be cleaner, but nothing seemed overly unsanitary. I asked if we were going to receive the same services we originally purchased, and they said they would call me back. You get what you pay for. By that, the prices are definitely more than other area salons, but the service is also better than at other area salons. I walked in on a Sunday around 1pm and was taken right away for a pedicure, gel soak off and gel manicure. Their pedicure chairs are very comfortable and the overall service was very relaxing and detailed. The girl who gave my pedicure paid very close attention to what she was doing and the scrub/massage were VERY thorough. Unfortunately, she passed me to someone else for my manicure because someone came in requesting her, but my substitute did an awesome job (sorry, I should have gotten names!). She did a great job with my messy cuticles and the shape of my nails are perfect. She was also patient with me while I flip-flopped on color choices and helped me make a decision! This place used to be Duong Nails, but ownership changed recently, so although it looks exactly the same, the service seems a lot better. The prices do feel high ($56 for pedi, mani, soak-off, including a new customer discount), but I don't mind paying that much when the staff are friendly, attentive and detail-oriented.
