This place breathes some seriously fresh air into the ice cream shop scene. Lately, all ice cream shops have to be super hip, trendy, and have flavors like lavender mint caviar. However, Bliss brings us back to basics - a "Thrifty" style selection of 15 or 20 flavors that are just... normal and solid and reasonably priced. You go in, pick out a flavor, they put it in a cone or cup or waffle... and you're on your way. No mix ins or weighing needed! When I went, they didn't have any seating indoors due to COVID, but they had a few tables with umbrellas outside. It's not a great spot to sit and have ice cream (Ave D is pretty busy), but it's fine. However... a better option would be to go out back, behind El Paraiso, to Ferguson Park and have a walk around or sit under a tree on the grass. That's good summer vibes right there.

"You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream" Super friendly staff who give you are warm welcome even when you enter the store few minutes before closing. We were offered for free tasting which helped us pick the flavors. We ended up getting a scoop of Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookie and Salted butter Caramel. We did not even drink water for an hour as we did not want to let go of the taste. The Butterscotch was the best we have ever had! Creamy & Delicious which just melts in your mouth. Salted caramel was a standard option you cannot go wrong with and it did not disappoint! We tasted Pistachio which was not to our liking. We did try Lemon Ginger flavor which had strong ginger crystals. It was unique flavor! Their 6 scoop tasting for $10 seems like an unique offer and will get it next time! Ample parking and outdoor seating as well!

Great ice cream, very rich and creamy I had the honey lavender and it was perfect. Glad I ordered the kids size as it was just the right portion size. Two small tables outside. Wish they had more seating. It is also very expensive. $9 for a milkshake. They do have a vegan menu but I didn't try any of the flavors. They will let you try any flavor before you buy.

I haven't been here for awhile, but I remember it being better. For 4 of us to get split scoops in a bowl it worked out to $9 each before tip! Yikes! My daughter and I both had the same rocky road and toasted coconut (Crème de Cacao). The rocky road was delish but the toasted coconut left a very oily taste on the tongue, which was off-putting. Knowing I'm sensitive to that I didn't say anything out loud, but she echoed my sentiments. Service was so-so and we had to repeat everything as the employee didn't seem to know the offerings. For the Crème de Cacao, for instance she thought wanted something with Matcha. I hope they find a better supplier for spoons as well as 3 of our 4 broke while eating. I joked to my husband that he must have been aggressively eating his ice cream....but who got the last laugh when two more spoons broke including mine. It worked, though awkward, but my concern would be with someone getting cut.

Stopped by to check out this new creamery. I really appreciated the variety of vegan/non-diary ice cream as I love ice cream but ice cream does not love me. I tried the vegan cookie butter and the vegan s'mores. The vegan s'mores was considerably better than the vegan cookie butter. The probably with the cookie butter was it was not a strong enough flavor to compete against the coconut ice cream. I probably would make a better traditional ice cream. My family tried the blackberry and mint chip and said they were really delicious.

Ordered an ice cream cake online. Not the prettiest but it tasted amazing.

The ambiance did not give me "ice cream parlor" with its red booths, carpet, and high windows. However, everything was fairly clean, including the bathroom, which was outdated, but functional. (There was an odd smell to the building, but perhaps it was due to the leaky ceiling being fixed.) The man working the counter was quiet, but smiled and was pleasant enough in the brief interaction we had. There is a decent selection of flavours, most of them fruity. Several selections of ice cream sizes are available, along with cake or sugar cones. Freshly made gluten free cones are also available. Along with ice cream, you can purchase a selection of candy, fudge, and milkshakes. The small children I went with thought it was an absolutely divine experience, however, so the ice cream cones here did the trick!

There were two girls working- probably in their late teens to early 20's- one behind the counter and the other one was cleaning. The girl behind the counter said there was no more apple thus could not do the orders, then the cleaning girl approached the counter and was pointing to the pie we wanted and told the other girl there was still a couple slices left of the apple crumble pie. The other girl working the counter started whispering something to the other girl while looking at us sort of giggling. Just a side note, I had a feeling the counter girl did not want to do anymore work since there was about 10 minutes prior to closing time. The counter girl opened their freezer and said "I'm sorry, but we're out of ice cream for the shakes, but we can make you pie scream." My 18 year old daughter and I looked at each other, and I think we were both thinking the same thing. I told the girl behind the counter "forget it" and we walked out of there. On our way out I said to my kids out loud, "sorry guys, I don't think the workers want to stay any longer than they have to." It is obvious that if there is ice cream for the pie scream, there IS also ice cream for the shakes: ice cream goes with both! I wasn't born yesterday, and they could've just told me to my face- and I would've been okay with it- "sorry we're about to close and we don't have time to make your orders", instead of making up some bs about "not having ice cream" when clearly they did. I would've totally been fine had she been honest about having to close soon. I just don't like being lied to. Regardless, if the workers do not want to serve customers 10 minutes before closing, perhaps think about locking the front doors so no customer comes in. Or, put the sign that reads "closed". Customers are not idiots, are more likely forgiving if you're honest, and they're the reason why a place exists and the workers get paid. One star for tonight's customer service only.

Wow, what a god send of a bakery! A complete GF bakery?!?! Yayyyy!!…read more I am so excited when I found out they make vegan, dairy free pastries. Double checked...Dairy free means no milk, cream, yogurt, butter etc. so I look for labels that says DV, V. Everything is automatically certified gluten free and there is no worry on cross contamination. They don't use run of the mill commercial grade high gluten flour the website tells all. There's also paleo, keto options. As someone who hasn't been eating butter based pastries due to doctor's orders, this bakery is like finding gold. Our favorite after 2 visits are their vegan dairy free sea salt chocolate chunk cookie, their classic GF big chocolate chip cookie, vegan dairy free banana macadamia nut muffin, and my absolute favorite is their dairy free vegan sweet strawberry scone (with rhubarb, flax and coconut). I typically find scones to be bland and dry. Not these! I enjoyed these so much they were so moist and delicious but what I love most is the chewy bits on the edge. My hubby is a chocolate fiend but he usually get sluggish and sick to his stomach after inhaling a large chocolate pastry from other bakery. He ate their large size classic chocolate chip cookie and it didn't bother him. Tasted amazing too! Their sourdough is one of a kind. It's piping hot and available on a daily basis while supplies last. Nobody offers gluten free artisan sourdough fresh out of the oven on a walk in basis. It stayed hot for hours after I brought it home because it was such a dense dough. When I think about how much more time and work went into these special loaves (not mass produced) and loaded with nutrition, the $23.50 is worth it! The sourdough is super moist if you don't toast it there's almost a slight tacky feel to it. Once toasted, it is the best artisan toast eating experience. This am, I enjoyed an open faced peanut butter and blackberry jam toast. Appreciate also they provide on the package specific care instructions for the best experience. For the price, I made sure we wash our hands and did all the suggested prep needed. My only critique would be transparency on pricing in store and on website. It was mildly shocking when the register total was in the $80 range after 2 sourdough loaves and 6 pastries before tip. After eating it, we realized it's actually worth every penny. Good at a different level. Maybe if they have a daily special would be nice to bring in more people? Well, we will come back regardless! Love this new bakery find!!

Upon entering, i immediately noticed baked goods display and the drink menu. The case was filled with a bunch of interesting types of baked goods. On top of the rose cardamom latte, brioche tart and cardamom twist. We also got a savory scone and another item that escapes me. I enjoyed the savory scone the most. It had chives and bacon amongst other things. Great texture and not too dry. The brioche tart was a meal all on its own. Heavy and will put you to sleep. The cheese I think that was in there was gruyere but I could be wrong. I enjoyed it but definitely will splooge out if you down eat it on a plate with utensils. Eventually it does get monotonous for me. Recommend sharing it. Cardamom twist was the least favorite item. I'm not sure what it was but there was an essence of something in the background that threw the flavor off for me. I can't seem to describe it. The twist was slightly doughy/stodgy for me. Maybe part of an off batch. I typically do like cardamom centered things. This wasn't my favorite is all I can say. One suggestion I would hope gets implemented is cost of goods displayed for each item. I can say I was surprised at the total during check out. I do go to a lot of bakeries, cafes and artisanal shops. I always felt more at ease knowing what I was getting into from a financial standpoint. Tip is to look at their discounted items. They are a steal. They also have a rewards program that gets you a drink with every new sign up paired with a purchase I wish I had known prior to purchase as I was only able to spot signage at the register.

My first time there was for dinner and I ordered some sort of steak dish on the server's recommendation. I have to say the sides were great but the steak was just "OK", because it had the downside of 90% of restaurant steaks: no crust. still, it was decently seasoned and cooked to a perfect mid rare; For breakfast, they absolutely hit it out of the park.
