Blizzard Frameless did a great job 20 years ago and I'm so happy they are still in business when I needed a new shower enclosure due to a bathroom remodel. Randy came out and asked questions to understand what I was looking for. It is a rather different setup involving a door at an angle to the wall and adjoining glass panel. I wanted a minimum number of wall attachment plates to make cleaning easier. I didn't want a big handle to distract from the design and wanted something that would complement the other hardware in the room. Randy had the solution. Randy spent at least an hour doing complex measurements and suggested beveling one edge of the door for a complete finished look. I didn't want a plastic strip with a rubber edge at the bottom since that can be hard to clean and can get moldy. So, he recommended adding a small, curved metal threshold attached to the tile below the door to help contain water since the bathroom floor extends into the shower without a step. The parts were ready eight days later as promised. The two installers were on time, very nice and installed the fixed panel and the door with care and precision. The caulking was neatly applied. Randy's quoted price was right in the middle, and I signed with him. My only concern was that ALL of the Yelp reviews were 5-stars, and I thought no one can really be THAT good. I was wrong. These guys are really that f*****g good!! My job was three panels, with very difficult cuts that needed to be extremely precise. Jeff and Billy (the installers) did an incredible job. After months of blood, sweat and tears, the last part of our do-it-yourself bathroom remodel was a frameless glass door for the new shower. I called three companies, and am so glad we decided to go with Blizzard. From my first inquiry to see if we could potentially use our old door, Randy was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. He gave me a quick rough estimate for a new door and was patient with my questions (without making me feel like an idiot!). Randy came and measured, and I knew we made the right choice. He was meticulous with measurements and thorough in sharing all the different options and considerations with me...who knew so much to consider for a shower door! It was so helpful that he had glads and hardware samples, as well as albums with pictures of his work. I loved his attention to detail and no pressure approach. While we ultimately decided to go with the ultra clear glass, which costs more, Randy was very candid about the costs and did not try to up sell or push us. His expertise is evident, and he was fantastic at partnering to figure out what hardware would work best with our tile (pivot hinges given material we used to build the shower) and the aesthetic I wanted. I am sure I took more time than he intended to spend, but he never made me feel that way. The installation of the door and final outcome is fantastic! We love the clear glass. I didn't notice, but there was a minute scratch in the bottom of the door handle. Our phenomenal installer Jeff sure did, and a week later came and replaced the handle. Love the attention to detail and commitment to making it making it perfect. As Jeff noted when I said how fantastic the door installation and everything was, this is his art ...and Blizzard is great at it!
