the Vegas heat is really putting a stop on my appetite..but then it could be I'm still recovering from Heat Stroke Stomach Flu after hitting up Luxe Buffet's Seafood Oyster Bar in Ontario California and proceeding to Phoenix for the day. But yes, I was across the street grabbing some replenishables for my rig because I live on the road-- sadly. But on the bright side, I get to be everywhere and taste restaurants across the country, so not too bad. And today while delivering a load to Amazon LAS1 in Henderson, I decided to have lunch here at Block 9 Thai Street Eats. I like the layout. Ngl. If this restaurant opened in Steamboat Springs or say maybe Granby Colorado, the locals would probably storm in day and night. A blend of murals reminding you of that dream world created by Maurice Sendak in the book Where the Wild Things Are, and traditional Thai wood colors and pottery decorate the restaurant. I like the hues, the blues complementing the warm earth tones with dim yellow lighting fixtures. Ok, so the ambiance gets a 5/5. The food? This place is an order first then sit type of joint. I really and no idea what to get. Again the heat probably is restricting my appetite, but I went with a Chicken Penang, a Thai Hibiscus Lemonade and a Chicken Satay Appetizer. NGL, in regards to the chicken Satay, due to its overly dry and lack of moistureness, I think Alot of people will score better at a cheap Chinese buffet serving chicken skewers. 'because there's really no difference, I had one skewer and hesitated finishing the second. Maybe convert to chicken Thigh meat? Something with more fat built into it. The Penang gets a pass, but was nothing on the level of "I have to finish it right now," and probably because of the heat, I enjoyed the Hibiscus tea the most. For anyone that wants to experience really good chicken that maintains its moisture and just somehow ended up in Los Angeles, go check out Gravitea Food Truck in San Gabriel CA. And order their Taiwanese Fried Chicken. They use Chicken Breast by the way, but they're able to retain all the juice and moisture in the chicken. So where was I, loved the tea, ate the Penang, want to skip the Satay. Overall I'm giving this place a 4/5. Overall vibes, sounds, food presentation, and service is above average. Probably need to come at night some time in the future for the bar scene.

Chicken Panang comes with rice and Shrimp Pad Thai

Decided to give Block 9 a try and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and how fast it came out. Stopped in for a last minute dinner, we ordered the Panang curry and Shrimp pad Thai. The spice levels on both were perfect for me. When it comes to the Panang I think I'm so use to having more peppers and vegetables in it, so that would be my only recommendation. Coming back to try the mango sticky rice, regret not getting it. Service was good as they were closing in 45min, you order and pay at the counter and seat yourself. The aesthetics in there were different and gave street food vibes. Will be back to try other items and also try their lunch specials.

Came here on a Thursday dinner with a friend and we were able to order right away. We got a Pad Thai with Chicken and a Pad See Ew with Pork. The Pad Thai wasn't overly sweet and had a nice tangy taste to it. I loved the Pad See Ew sauce! Good portion of meat and noodles, but I do wish there were more veggies and broccoli heads.

A very cute and different vibe of Thai restaurant from other Thai spots in Vegas. It's casual but with fun and exotic interior design. There's no server coming to you. You order and pay at the counter first, get the number, and the food will be brought to your table. The menu is rather simple, just like what you might eat at your Thai friends' house, but the flavor is legit. The best thing here is they accommodate a lot of choice of gluten free items, and you can definitely customize your food for health concerns or allergy reasons. The star of the night is the fried tofu. Our party also enjoyed their Pad thai.

Got a great lead by a woman at the M Resort and it was spot on! The spinach salad is a must ! So get that ! Thai noodles and curry dish was amazing! They have one in Summerlin too ! Delicious and the food truck vibe is clever !

Great pretty decent thai food that's quick and delicious. Had a whole variety of my favs - drunken noodles, yellow curry, pad Thai, basil chicken, mango sticky rice dessert. All was standard and we ate everything up. Servers are limited and quite busy but once they get to you, they're quick. Decor is like that street food kind of concept. This is a go to spot for Thai food staples. Nothing stood out individually but as a whole, it was good to eat for hungry people

Came here with a friend on an afternoon the food was really tasty and we got both the pad see ew and pad Thai. We ordered at the front and the food was brought to us. The inside was really vibrant and the parking lot outside has a lot of parking! Definitely will come back!

In absolutely love this fast casual street food vibe here. The art work the decor is creative and I love the food. If you've ever dined at Nittaya Kitchen in the northwest the food is equally delicious. The service however was very mixed. The gentleman at the counter was very short and I felt rushed although it wasn't busy. I forgot the spinach salad but will def return. I ordered the lunch special chicken pad see ew and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The lunch special is plenty I couldn't even finish.

Foods delicious! We ordered from their lunch special, great deal. We had some pad sew & basil eggplant. Also got some tom kha & crab wonton from the side menu, and of course got some thai tea. Service is good, got our food fast. You can order from your table via QR code or you can go to the counter and order. Ambiance is really cute! From mural to displays. Good for taking pics. They also have outdoor sitting. Really giving vibes!

Decided to try this pace out since it was near me. It's in the Costco plaza and I'm surprised I haven't been. Well I went late at night with a friend and we enjoyed the service and atmosphere! It was very nice inside and the music was relaxing. We loved our food and we will definitely be back again.

likes this place! the ambiance is really cool! it did look like a street eats alley. food was good and what made it even better is their lunch special menu. we enjoyed the pad se ew & basil eggplant and everything else that we ordered but that two stand out! they dont have a server who takes order, you'll have to go up to the counter and place your order which gives the street eats vibe

    Mango sticky rice for dessert
    Marina H.

A friend of mine brought me her to celebrate my birthday and the food was really, really good so I decided to come back and treat myself for lunch so I got chicken pad see iew and mango sticky rice for dessert... the noodles are so good and flavorful and the mango sticky rice hits the spot for sweetness and savory.. I thought I ordered for delivery only to find out they don't deliver. The lady who helped me on the phone was very nice about the instance which was my mistake in the first place... and the service at the initial visit was spot on...

Came here with a friend to have a little dinner session and we stumbled across this restaurant. We were going to go to the well-known Thai restaurant however we decided to try this place out. All the other Thai restaurants have nothing compared to Charms. Each of their menu items were by for the most freshest food you could eat. The staff was very attentive and willing to tell us what they're specially known for. We ordered the papaya salad by far the best papaya salad I had in years! Then I had a lychee and pineapple curry. By far the most scrumptious, sweet and sour curry you could have! If you love spice, this place is giving you authentic spice temperature to others! My friend had the Tom Ka and the generous portion of muscles made us fall in love with this beautiful decorated store! Don't forget, they have breakfast and coffee, which I would love to try when I'm in the area! By far, probably the best Thai restaurant that's reasonable priced and offers phenomenal service! authenticity Charms -- ! -- ! ! ! ! !

Perhaps they didn't anticipate a dinner rush on Mother's Day. We ordered the Beef Pepper Steak, dumplings, and the Pad Prik King with chicken. Their spice levels range from 1-10, I opted for an 8, my fiance settled on 7. To my surprise, our entrees arrived first and when we mentioned the dumplings, they said they were coming soon. We dove into our entrees and were not disappointed. Both dishes packed a ton of flavor and the spice levels were enjoyable (didn't blow your palate out). I knew the Pad Prik King was going to be good as soon as they set it down and I could smell the kefir lime. It's probably one of the better versions I have, and that's my go to dish anywhere it's on the menu, so that says a lot. The dumplings arrived about 5 minutes after our entrees so we took a break from those to try the dumplings. They were steaming hot and it was interesting to see that they looked more like siu mai. Nonetheless, they were delicious, packed with umami from the chicken and shrimp mixture. They have a lunch special too, so definitely a spot to check out for lunch or dinner. I know we will definitely be back!
