I had new tape-in extension put in for the bargain price of $860 (2.5 packs of Bellami hair) and they all fell out the next day. They were put back in the following day only to continue to peel apart. What I was told by my stylist at Blonder Salon was, it was the hair company Bellami, that was selling hair they knew was bad. While Blonder was trying to work things out with Bellami, they replaced my Bellami hair with a much lower quality hair, Hairtalk. The Bellami hair was removed and sent back to Bellami for assessment. I was informed Bellami admitted they were having issues and Blonder Salon was issued money back (my money). But no refund was issued back to me. The Hairtalk extensions were the wrong color from the start, which I didn't love, but wasn't about to have them removed again (I already have very fine hair and had lost enough already). Fast forward 4 weeks, all of the tape on the replacement extensions is peeling apart, again a few have fallen out and my hair will not hold a curl. I was told by the salon owner Steve that they were coming apart because I was due to have them moved up and that they need to be moved up every 4-6 weeks. The Hairtalk website says 8-10 weeks, so that wasn't honest--not the first or last time that would be the case. It's most likely due to 1.) the poor quality of hair or 2.) the Brazilian blowout solution being on the hair for 24 hours and the hair and tabs were stripped--not sure, I'm not a stylist. But I have spoken to a handful who have said that it most likely stripped the hair and tab. Additionally, I don't know why brand new hair would need a Brazilian blowout? Long and short of it, I now have to contact the extension company myself to attempt to get a refund on my hair--keep in mind that is just for my hair. Steve the owner would not offer any refund of what they pocketed because of the time spent fixing their mistakes. I had to pay someone else to remove the Hairtalk extensions and re-do everything. The only thing he offered was for me to go back to his salon and have him put back in the hair I originally had taken out (I kept my old hair because it was still in great condition, just a little shorter than I like). So basically his resolution was to put back in hair I already bought 6 months ago and call it even! He accused me of "looking for free good and services" not true. They sent back the hair I purchased and THEY pocketed the refund. I also said I would send him back the Hairtalk hair so he could get his money back on that hair too--not sure what I got for free other than an attitude from a condescending owner. After I sent pictures of the clear difference in hair color he tried to dispute that as well. Saying "I just feel like you are Unconsolable and nothing can make you happy of all the things that we've done and all the time and effort we put into you," clearly not taking into consideration it was my hair that fell out, my money they will not refund and my time. Not to mention Steve has never touched my hair so I'm not sure what effort or time he put in. Possibly rectifying this for the 15 other people this happen to? Yes, from what I was told by my stylist, this happened to many other Blonder clients. All Steve could say was "that's the hair company's policy!" So apparently Blonder doesn't have their own policies so they adopt others as a scapegoat and take money from both the client and hair company. Awful customer service! She has this neat technique that keeps her foils from slipping down, so that my color continues all the way down to the scalp. I can't say enough good things about my stylist Ragen! I am very particular about who I let do my hair and Ragen has done an excellent job every time. I went from platinum blonde to my natural color and Ragen has helped maintain the integrity of my hair, while keeping the cut stylish and edgy. She takes her time and is very meticulous about what products she uses as well as making sure my hair ends up exactly how I want it. I have sent several of my friends to her as well now and they all have been incredibly pleased with the results. Who has the time, money and patience to coordinate that? Steve Irwin and his staff are professionals. He hit the color and the look right out the gate. He takes care of everything, prompt, professional and charming. I mean really- sit in a chair for over 3 hours- you have to like the person His prices are fair - the overall process is an investment - but I feel that the money is well earned. Alright Yelpers! Here is the flat out truth.. I have found my go-to salon!! Every single employee there is so welcoming and nice! Their customer service rules! Love the design, so rustic! But most of all... whats important ladies... is the stylist and my hair outcome! My previous stylist was a doll, but she was a little too "out of style" and wasn't able to give me what I was looking for... poo! But then I stumbled upon this lil ole place and met a really sweet girl, Shelly! And I was a little hesitant at first, I mean come on, it is my hair!! And finding a new stylist is hard, you must build a trusting relationship with them. But regardless, Shelly made me feel at ease and I had her fix my do! And guess what?! I got a coupon in the mail for the Brazillian Blowout, and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try it without blowing a lot of money. If I had never received this coupon, I would have had no idea about this salon because it's in the back of a building. When I got to the salon for my appt with Stephen (who I found out was the owner), he was finishing up with another customer, but then took another half hour to finish up with her, which meant I was already running late. No biggie since it was a Sunday afternoon, but I was wondering how long it would take for him to finish MY hair. Well, needless to say, I will NEVER go to him again. I think this guy is a major druggie because he was slurring his words the whole time, could barely stand without weaving, and couldn't stay on track with our conversation - to the point where we had a lengthy conversation about difficulties with being single, but when I went to pay, he referenced me getting married in 2 weeks! I said, um, that's not me, and he said, oh yeah, that was the other girl. Completely weird. And, when he was blow drying my hair, he kept burning my scalp to the point where I had to tell him to please use another blow dryer because this one was too hot, of which he replied that he couldn't feel it! Then, when he was flat ironing my hair, he got too close to my scalp as well, and burned me a couple of times. Finally, if I hadn't heard him talking to the previous customer about what to do/not do with my hair after this process, I would have had no idea because I had to ask him as I was checking out about shampoos, etc. Word to the wise - if you choose to go to this salon, beware of the owner! read more

They also do great hair color, especially blonde! (Hence the name blonder salon!) they offer multiple types of extensions too (individuals, tape ins etc) , based on your hair type and what look you're going for. I do the great lengths brand extensions. They don't tangle and look great even when my hair is up. I take good care of them though, so make sure you do a low side braid every night ! I was forced to go since a coworker arranged and paid for me to go. I knew nothing about them or anything, all I knew was that my friend's hair stylist was the best! Well, she was! I waited a month before writing this review just to make sure my hair wouldn't suddenly transform into what I had been hoping for. I purchased a brazillian blowout on groupon, and finally cashed it in. I have long wavy hair that I was hoping I could save time on during summer when I don't want to spend 1 hour blow drying it in 90+ degree weather. End result...my hair has a little bit less frizz, but it hasn't cut down my blow dry time. I notice it still takes forever, and I still have to use a round brush to get it flat. I'm disappointed, and glad I spent 100 vs their usual 200 pricetag. I still give 2 stars because I do believe it was good service, and she really took her time, but I don't know if it's just my hair didn't take to the treatment, or she didn't do it correctly...but either way i'm super disappointed after she hyped me up so much about how this treatment would be 'life changing' read more

II received a neighborhood mailer for a Brazilian Blowout for $99.00. $99.00 for a Brazilian and the salon is close to my house...o.k....I'm in. Janna did my Brazilian and she's a doll. I had originally scheduled it for a Saturday but she was going to be out of town that day so she took me after work during the week. The whole thing took about 90 minutes and I don't have any problems with it. My hair is NOT stick straight..which is a good thing. It still has some wave and body which I like, minus the frizz.. The first time I came here was the first time I ever got a Brazilian blowout. I had no idea what to expect. I had about a 15 minute wait and was seen by Steve who is also the owner of the salon. He quickly explained to me what we would be doing since I mentioned that I have never gotten this type of service done on my hair. I have long hair that goes past my breasts and its thick. Despite that he took his time on making sure my hair was sleek and perfectly straight. It lasted this way for several weeks! My appointment was with Laura, but since she was running late, Steve jumped in and got started. The salon was packed on a Thursday morning, so they obviously have many loyal clients. My hair is super smooth and easy to style now, a far cry from the ball of frizz I usually deal with every day. I purchased a coupon from Groupon to get the Brazillian Blowout and what a bad experience. The owner of the Salon did the Blowout on my hair and while there are 8 steps to the blowout proceess, he only completed 1-5. He failed to do steps 6-8 (which were important) and also I was out of the salon in 45 minutes, unlike the 90 minutes it says on the Brazillian Blowout Website! I washed my hair and it is wavy and not straight - the last time I received the Brazillian Blowout, I could wash and go with my hair being straight (not wavy). A big disappointment! Also, I arrived on time and he informed me he was running 15 minutes behind schedule - which ended up being 30 minutes behind - and I also heard him go tell his currently client there that I was on time - like it was a problem.....He apparently did not care that I was a new potential client and try and win me over for future services. He was also very distracted in constantly checking his message on his phone I will not be recommending this salon to my riends (and to think I was all hyped about getting the groupon coupon and telling my friends to get it as well) For those that have purchased it as well, I will let them know to get their money back and not go to this salon. read more

I decided to go to Blonder after looking on Internet. I had Kristie S. do my hair and i was a little scared since i had fried my own hair and now wanted to go lighter again. I told her what I was thinking, which was hi-lites and low-lites. She did amazing!!! It is a beautiful color and managed to save my hair from me damaging and making it an ugly color!!
