Do not come here for balayage! I booked in specifically for balayage and asked for their most experienced stylist. Had a thorough consultation and showed pics. My hair was the perfect base for what i asked for (i know because i used to do hair) . After 4.5 hours i left with stripy highlights. Came back as a redo... 3 more hours and still nowhere near what I asked for . I spent 2 years growing out my natural color , now will have to dye over to get rid of stripy highlights. Also the condition of my hair is terrible after my visit and the haircut is uneven which the stylist said "happens every time with the right side... ? I am going to her for a la carte microdermabrasion treatments (just $200 for 5 visits) and am getting fabulous results. My skin is smooth, clear and feels supple after just 2 treatments. Melony herself is a delight and very talented. She goes above & beyond to make spot-on product recommendations (even sharing links on where to look for them) and doing more than advertised to make your skin look its best. My search for a hair salon is over! I've spent the last 4 years searching for someone that can give me good advice on how to manage my hair. Called and made an appointment for later the same day. Molly was absolutely AMAZING. She gave me great advice and just went at it. Note: I did tell her that I didn't know what I wanted, and would really like for her to have artistic freedom with my hair. Molly was also really fun to chat with. I loved the blow dry and style at the end, most places would just leave my hair wet. I got married at fieldbrook winery and had an amazing glam squad come out to get me and the bridal party ready. Haley did our makeup. We all looked amazing. I requested that my makeup be natural and she delivered. My makeup did not look exaggerated and it lasted the whole day. My mom, mother in law and bridesmaids, loved their makeup as well. Haley was so great and flexible even when I squeezed in one person last minute. She was able to get us all ready just in time! She was so great!!! Sarah and Kylie did our hair. They did a good job. We all have different types of hair and they were able to work with curly to straight hair. In particular Sarah did my hair. I have very straight hair and Sarah was able to somehow make my hair stay curly the whole day and my veil stayed put as well. If you ever need to hire a glam team I recommend you hire them. Beware! Very catty women in this shop. Went to do my eyebrows and asked her to do a clean, she took 45 minutes to clean them. Then next time I went there to do eyebrows the women who work there were staring at me like I was an alien. I assume the eyebrow lady had told them something about the previous session, which resulted in them oogling at me. Also the nail tech has not a single clue how to do a French manicure. Her lines were squiggles. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I'm not sure if it was because I am a person of colour or they are just catty, but the vibe is extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. There are plenty of other salons to frequent. I got my hair colored by Megan, she ruined my hair. I thought she knew what she was doing, I found out too late that she is very inexperienced. In the end I went to another salon and had to bleach it out to fix the blotchy muti-toned mess Megan created. The bleach damaged my hair even further. The nail that sealed the coffin shut on this place was when I came back to speak with them about the job the next day and one of the owners acted like the crap job her stylist had done on my hair was somehow my fault. read more

I went here to get a couple highlights in front just around my face to bring out my skin tone. My hair had been growing out and uncolored for over 2 years at that point. The stylist, the owners daughter, didn't listen and proceeded to give me a full weave. Then when she finally rinsed me the color was white. She had completely bleached my entire head to look just like hers. Washed out, dry, and over processed. It took me 2 visits with a professional to correct the damage and almost a year to grow out. Please do not go here unless you want to ruin your hair! read more

Sarah is the absolute best!! My roommate introduced me to her after searching around town for someone who would dye her über long hair with organic/ natural dye. I have really long hair and have had a few stylists chop off more than expected on many occasions, but my roomate was right and I've been going to see Sarah for years now. She takes the time to massage your scalp (ahhhhmazing!) and refuses to cut off more length than necessary. It's hard for long haired gals to find someone who understands the perfect trim, but she does! Sarah also is extremely sincere, sweet, and honest. Let me start my saying that I only go to tan. They have a lay-down level 2 bed and a standup level 3 bed. Their packages are comparable to spotlight video packages. I have been able to call and make an appointment for 30 minutes later. At Spotlight you need to make them 5-10 hours in advance. An odd thing they do here is not provided you with eye wear. Luckily I bought some years ago, but be prepared to own some if you go here. Also, their hours are very limited! They close most days at 6pm, unlike spotlight which takes appointments until 10pm. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a haircut with Molly because I had a good cut by her previously. I wanted a chic pixie cut and came with pictures of what I wanted, which I showed her. She assured me that she could give me the cut I wanted and also said that she had given several other women this same cut. I ended up with what she called an asymmetrical cut but was really more of a buzz cut on the left side and the back of my head. The hair on the right side was left too long, and she didn't blend my hair at all. I was absolutely horrified, this is the worst cut I have ever gotten anywhere. I had to go to another salon to get my hair evened out. I will not be going back to Blondies, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I highly recommend Waxing by Alessandra. This was the best waxing experience I've ever had and I'll definitely be back. I've been hesitant to try waxing since I moved up here since I couldn't find a place that had reviews, but I went out on a limb and made an appointment for full body waxing (underarms, full legs, and brazilian) and Alessandra did an excellent job.
