I've had my lashes done many times, and Mara is AWESOME! She was really fast and uses Sable lashes which are super lightweight and look way nicer than cheap fake mink. I have naturally blonde lashes that are bone straight, I just got mine done and now they look so curly and beautiful! Huong is nothing short of amazing and professional! I've been wanting to get my eyebrows microbladed but was hesitant due to many factors. After much research and chatting with various professionals, I felt most and ease and confidant in Huong. I reached out to her around July/August, she recommended that we wait until September when it cools down. Excessive sweating is a no no, and with the heatwave we had there was no avoiding it. I appreciated her honesty. Huong is about whats best for her clients vs filling her book and bank account in the peak of the heat. I should mention, other places I spoke to didn't have concerns about the heat. Anyhow the day of the appointment, the salon as easy to find since she gave great landmarks to go by Trader Joe's, and CVS. Her suite is clean and tidy. You can tell right away she takes pride in her space. It's clean, professional, and welcoming. I filled out the needed forms and we got to work. I appreciated how Huong explained everything she was doing. She's VERY precise, the stickered tape measure she was using was shifted a few times to ensure the utmost accuracy. Prior to applying the topical numbing cream she used a tool to help the cream to penetrate below the skin surface, which I feel helped quite a bit. (I had my brows tattooed, not microbladed in the past where the cream was only applied on top and it didn't numb ANYTHING...now THAT was pain.) Once the procedure started I felt minimal pain. I wouldn't say no pain per se since hello...I'm literally getting a blade to my face...but it wasn't nearly as painful as everyone made it out to be. Perhaps, just constant scratching...kinda like how a cat would "make biscuits" on you. I'm about 24 hours post appointment and the after care instructions are easy to follow. I go back in six weeks for my follow up/touch ups. I have no issues or concerns. When you decide to get micobladed, Huong is the professional for you. This was the first time experience with lash extensions. Huong was easy to contact and set up an appointment. The day we initially planned had to be rescheduled but she she came in on her day off which is great customer service. The day before she sent me a text to confirm. The day of she was very welcoming. The location action is in salon republic which is a nice location and very easy to access. Her location is shared and is very tidy. I had to sign a customer acknowledgement sheet and then we were off. We talked about the types of styles and my previous experience with extensions. I let her know I wanted a cat eye style and was comfortable with a longer length as I'm very experience with lstrip lashes. She made sure to walk me through the whole process. Being this was my first time I had no idea what to expect so she asked if I wanted to listen to specific music for me to relax. She the proceeded to clean my lashes and places the gel straps to cover my bottom lashes so they were protected. She made sure to ask if I was doing OK throughput the procedure which was nice since it can be a little much to relax and keep your eyes shut for the amount needed and have someone working on your eyes. It went by fast and was easy for me. My boyfriend was present and he sat and was able to watch she asked if he could see what was going on. They discussed the processes and her love for her skill which is great to hear. It really shows in the b product when someone enjoys what they do. When it was all finished she showed me what she did and let me know what I needed to do to maintain my lashes. As she mentioned her application of the lashes is only 30% of the job the other part is how the customer cares for the lakes. This means combing 2x times a day bit using mascara, using liquid liner instead of kohl or pencil and using oill free make up remover. She let me know that the process of drying is not just air dry the glue builds a bond in the first 4 8 hours which means keeping them dry for the first 48hrs. huong made this a quick and easy process that made me regret not trying then out sober. But I'm glad I waited and had her as the technician as she really wants her customers to have a memorable experience and product. I've been wanting to get my brows microbladed for a while now and was referred to Huong by a friend who was really happy with her brows. I was honestly pretty nervous to get it done since it's something that will be on my face for 1-2 years. I went in for the consultation and she made me feel very comfortable and took the time to explain the whole procedure to me. We did a patch test and I came back 3 days later to get my brows done! The main microblading appointment itself was so much less stressful than I thought. Huong took the time to measure and shape my brows, and made sure I loved the shape before she started. She also let me check the brows at 30%, 50% and 90% so I wasn't surprised with the final result. It felt like a collaboration between us two because I got to give her my feedback each time.
