3/08/22. Acrylic tips, coffin shaped with gel polish $50
Rose C.

I've been here a few times pre and post pandemic. When it comes to getting acrylic nails, I usually have no problems with that, I typically like how it comes out. I took off 2 stars because for one parking can be a hassle since it's on a busy street in bloomfield with several businesses. You usually have to pay the meter. The 2nd reason is that it's cash only which can be annoying. They have an atm inside that has a $1 charge but my bank charges for using a non bank atm so it's really inconvenient for me. It's also gets crowded very quickly so I usually try to get there early.

I love coming here. I am a regular customer. The owner is great & all but Rosa is my nail artist, she is amazing!!! I always leave her a huge tip because of the treatment I receive. If you are planning on coming here make sure you arrive early, normally this place is packed. They do not do appointments. But now due to COVID-19 you must sign your name upon arrival & wait outside the shop until she owner calls your cell to tell you when its your turn. If you do not answer the phone, they skip your turn and move on to the next. This place does not accept cards but they do offer an ATM.

This is my second visit at the salon and I'm Sooooo glad I tried it out !!!! This is my new spot , they're clean, the salon is nice and updated, and they have bomb designs! It's not a sloppy rushed process ! I recommend! Only con is there don't take cards, but they have an atm and the fee is only $1

Joanne was amazing! She pays great attention to detail, her space was clean, & she's well mannered! She also kept her mask on the entire time which I loved. 10/10 highly recommended!

4 nails chipped two days after being done. Not worth it.

Spa Pedicure was mediocre not worth the price, 4 nails chips after two days of service. $100 for what? Avoid.

Full set with marble nail design

Have bern coming here since I moved to Bloomfield, service always good. Usually crowded so I come when they open whenever I can.

Great service, friendly staff, and amazing work. Yes, you will most likely wait an hour to two hours, but for the prices and skilled artisty, I think it was worth it

I love the way they do my nails there. The guy is the best, he'll have your nails looking good. I don't like getting my pedicure there ugh it's horrible. The girls who do pedicure don't understand English and they just cut ur toe nails without asking what shape or anything .

Joanne is a sweetheart, & the staff does gr8 work as well. Cash only!!!! They do all kinds of nail art, holigram, glow in the dark, & 3D.

policy stating they do accept appointments

how is it that I call to make an appointment, they tell me okay and they have me down for that time , even asked me for my name, and then I show up and I have to wait ? She tells me they don't do appointments here yet they have a sign saying "We will hold your spot for 15 minutes only. The next client will be served. Please don't be late." What is that referring to if they don't accept appointments? APART FROM THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE A SIGN IN SHEET ???? HUHHHH ?????

Michelle A.

I don't know the name of the gentleman who did my nails but he saw that there was a scratch on my thumb nail and didn't care to fix it. He looked at me and "sorry" and then charged me $45.

full set and gel pedicure

They never disappoint me!! A little busy sometimes but worth the wait. Pedicure was well executed no polish on my skin and no cuts during the process. For my nails I'm in love. It's exactly what i wanted

Perfect shape and color. I'm in love!!

Got a gel mani/pedi. My technician, Bilma, was excellent! The place is small, cute, and clean. I'll definitely be back.

How much is a pedicure?

25 last time i checked

How much is it for a gel full set & a normal pedicure?

About 45 bucks

How much is pedicure gel? And gel tips? And how well shapping?

$29 for Gel pedicure & $5 for shapping, acrylic tips $30, pink & white $50, lcn gel $65 & glitter powder $45.

Just to prepare myself.. how much would you say I should bring for acrylics, gel polish and some designs on my nails?

I say between $60-80. Full set depending on the length is roughly between $35-45, gel is $10 and depending on the design/how many nails is can start at $10 and go up. hope this helps !

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

Review is NOT for service - I've received nothing but excellent service here…read more My review is for the fact that I did not agree to renew a wax pass (they are very relentless with asking you to renew and take advantage of the special promotion - which seems to be offered year round) and was charged for it anyway - over $600. I did not notice the renewal right away since the first charge was in December and I had a service on December 22, planning for that to be my last wax after 20+ years as a loyal EWC customer. That charge appeared on my January statement (which I received in late January); I assumed it was for the December service. I noticed the 2nd charge on my February statement, which I didn't review right away. Everyone in my household had covid and a lot of everyday tasks slipped for a while. I called at the end of March to say "Hi, can we please take care of this" and the answer I finally got today from the location manager was, Nope, since I didn't call within 30 days of the first charge. I didn't even know about the first charge within 30 days! So, I guess this is on me - $600 worth of waxing which I will never use - for not being zealous about checking my credit card statement.

Waxing isn't for the faint of heart. And this center isn't either. You had better make up your mind…read morebefore you enter because it's coming off! The ladies here are pros and there is no hand holding happening here. They are trying to get you in and out the door in the most respectable way possible. So if you're ready then they're ready. Haha. That sums up my take on the brazilian waxing services. As for the vajacial, it wasn't life changing. I think it had everything to do with the tiny seat that was reserved for my big butt. It was uncomfortable and I didn't experience any benefits. Also, I was in a room with another person. I think I can speak for them by saying that it was akward. She spent most of the time on her phone telling someone all about her vajacial and I had the pleasure of being in the background of her video call. Following the vajacial was a facial. That was alright but I think there might be other spaces for me to experience a more thorough job that would include recommendations to improve my skin. So would say that you should prepare with a painkiller, if necessary and head on over for their waxing services.

I then went in had my service taken my wallet out give gave her a tip, picked up my belongings and did not pick up my wallet. I walked one block to where my car was parked realized I had left my wallet there. I then called and said I would be right there. I forgot my wallet which took all of three minutes and when I got there, they said my wallet wasn't left behind that was impossible. My wallet was at least 6 inches long and 2 inches wide and had it dropped I would've definitely heard it. The girl who serviced me had no reaction which to me was very telling. I will never ever go back to Bloomfield Wax and skin and if I were you, I'd leave my wallet behind and just take my card in and whatever tip you want to give them Rosemary Scardino

They didn't tell me it was expired while I was there, let me use half of it, then crossed out the expiration date and made it a date in expire 10/30/25. I was unaware they back-dated it because I was in a hurry to put it in my pocket since I was in rush. Fast forward to today, I went to use it and obviously it wasn't honored because of that new date. I understand that it expired and of course I'm fine not using it since it's completely my fault. It was just the most bizarre experience because 1. No one mentioned it was expired the first time I was there (which I would have been fine paying for my pedicure if someone explained that to me instead writing in a new date so couldn't use it again) Also I'm just not sure why they would give me back a gift certificate that I can't use anymore or never mention that it was expired. 2. What kind of place has a 1 week or 1 month expiration date? (Thinking about it I'm wondering if it the date a typo since it was handwritten because most places around here have a 1 year expiration date when I buy them or am gifted them.) Also my nails were different lengths and the polish I used developed white spots on top (it was a light purple) With so many wonderful places in Montclair, I would definitely consider buying a gift certificate somewhere else with a longer expiration date, a more clear policy, or somewhere that will take the time to explain these dates and policies if you have an issue like I did if you are looking to purchase a gift.
