New boba spots that have opened in Allston in the span of 2 weeks! Like we didn't have so many options already. I wanted to try HeyTea but the line was out the door and I was not waiting in the cold. So we instead went to Yi Fang! Inside was so nice and cozy that my friend's glasses were foggy the second we walked in lol... It is a really nice space with a lot of yummy options. They even had food and some snacks which I was not aware of. Their boba was very small and cute and very chewy. I was salivating over the fruit teas but decided to try the brown sugar milk tea. Very dangerous being right next to me but I will be back to try their many different combos. What we got Earl grey Lemon Tea Brown sugar pearl earl grey tea

They're finally open! I've waited and waited so long for this location to open. The space looks similar to the setup like the Newbury location, but this one is much bigger! Kinda too big and bare, in my opinion. They have a self-kiosk to make ordering super easy, and service is very fast!

I got the winter melon lemonade with light ice and 50% sweetness and it was perfect for a hot day!

Got a Too Good to Go bag from here. Great deal! I got two medium sized teas and two cups of topping. One of the brown sugar boba and one of the cream foam. All way very tasty and pricewise was a great deal.

I waited about an hour and a half on their grand opening day to be one of the first 50 people to get a free gift bag. Yi Fang is one of my favorite boba spots, so they're opening in Allston adding to the numerous boba choices is amazing. Located on Brighton Ave, right across from super 88 there's a few tables and a bench table looking outside. I ordered my favorite drink the multi floral honey mountain tea with boba. It's a fresh, sweet tea and the boba is small and chewy. They have 15% off for their grand opening and have been giving out loyalty cards. I will definitely be returning to try out their other drinks and recommend everyone try them out!

There were a lot of options for food and it was hard to decide! They have everything from Shakshuka to their "croffle"! ( croffle- croissant waffle with different toppings) We shared a Nutella and hazelnut croffle, and had omelets. The croffle was incredible- very decadent- and the omelets were very generous with their portions and had toast and home fried potatoes! It's a small spot, but doesn't feel crowded at all overall great experience and would come back!

There's tables mostly for smaller groups, but they easily accommodated us and another large group. I ordered the fig prosciutto panini, which was admittedly smaller than what I was expecting but delicious for breakfast. Coffee saved me from my early morning flight too-- effective and tasty. I think my only knock was that I'd have hoped my particular dish was a bit more generous in portioning, but given a look at the other things my friends ordered, this looks like it's not necessarily the norm across dishes. Great quick bite-- parking is pretty easy on this street in the morning too, so I'd recommend!

They offer a brunch menu so you could get breakfast or lunch depending on what you like. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine which came on multigrain bread. I was a little skeptical about it coming on bread instead of an english muffin but I was proven wrong, it was so good!!! I loved mine. The vegan burger was pretty good but a little dry. The huevos rancheros weren't anything to write home about but good. We did feel rushed because of the line so the food came quick and they were quick to bring the bill over once they observed you were close to being done. I'd come back for the Eggs Benedict and their pancakes looked good. What we ordered: Eggs Benedict Florentine Huevos Rancheros Quinoa Black Bean Burger Hot Chocolate Iced Chai

The only issue we had were the yellow jacket bees/wasps that kept flying around us. We noticed the table next to us was dealing with the same issue. (We visited at the end of August). This is when we found Lincoln Tower Tavern. When we arrived, it was a moody atmosphere that we both were drawn to--high ceilings, brick walls, and dark brown accents. Since it was our first visit, we were excited to learn that Tuesdays feature $1 oysters. We ordered half a dozen and tried all three oyster varieties available. Each had a standalone flavor which I liked. It was also plated nicely for a quick photo op. For my drink I ordered the perfect pear; it had different flavors than what I'm used to, but in a good way. My boyfriend chose the Meat Pie and I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Fricassee. The waitress said these dishes would take half an hour to prepare (which it did not), so we ordered a side caesar to start off with because we were starving, it worked out because it was awesome. When the dishes arrived, the meat pie was a huge hit. I even tried the mashed potatoes and they were delicious. As for my dish, it just wasn't for me. I do want to state that it was prepared well and creative, the flavors just did not mesh with my palette well. It really tasted like turkey and gravy to me for some reason. It was a fine dish, just wouldn't order it again. Overall we had a great experience at this tavern as we really like the oysters, the drinks, the salad and my boyfriend did like his meat pie. The ingredients were also super fresh. That being said, I would try it again. They seem to be known for their wood fired pizzas, most tables were ordering them. Unfortunately we weren't craving pizza that night, but next time this is what I would order. Overall Lincoln Tavern has my vote, I just would order another entrée dish. Large pew style booth seating. I recommend the strawberry mojito (mocktail) and the fruity pebbles pancake. If you don't want to stack of pancakes, just get one on the side, it's large and delicious! It's perfect. I was not a fan of the Breakfast style wood fire pizza, the egg lacked flavor. The popcorn cauliflower is a new item and the hot honey sauce is good, but I've had better cauliflower dishes in the past.

They were the dark horse that I never would have thought about ordering normally. Biscuits for dinner? Eh. But they were delicious and lighter than expected and the pimento cheese I could have ate by the spoonfuls. The oysters were clean and delicious. Everything you hope to have from Northeast oysters especially being from Texas where most of the places here serve Gulf oysters that don't even come close to comparing. I could have drank the mignonette. The pimento mac n cheese was on point and flavorful (and again that pimento cheese, yum). The wagyu burgers were so good. The burger was tender and flavorful, the bread was soft and light and slightly sweet, and the onion ring added a great texture to the mix. Think of a amped up western burger. The ambiance was a cool vibe yet a home feel. We were seated quickly but it took awhile for anyone to acknowledge us. Service was good once it started and the food came out quickly. If we ever make it back to Boston, it will definitely be on our list to revisit. Great late dinner spot. Simple foods done right. (Oh, and the drinks were delicious. I wanted to try them all. Mine tasted exactly like an apple pie.)
