While in Boston we were looking for a good place for breakfast while exploring the area. We stopped in at the Paramount. We were greeted by a friendly face and seated immediately even though they were busy. I ordered the breakfast plate with 2 eggs, home fries, turkey bacon, and toast. The food was fresh and hot. They have an open kitchen and the staff were on point. The kitchen staff were sending out plates as fast as I've ever seen especially for an open kitchen. Even though I wasn't asked what kind of toast I wanted, and the grain bread I received wouldn't have been my first choice it was delicious. My only regret was not ordering the S'mores pancakes as well. I was super full but those pancakes sounded phenomenal. Would definitely stop in here again for breakfast if I'm ever back in Boston.
Came in for some Brunch & let me start off by saying that this place is narrow. But there is seating outside in case you don't like narrow places. The food was great. I ordered a moscato and caramel and banana French toast. That indeed delicious, the host was very helpful and the food was delivered in a timely manner. This place was clean and well organized, I'll definitely make this place my stop next time I'm in Boston. Go Redsox.
I was craving pancakes and they delivered with a substantial stack of three large pancakes - honestly my friend and I probably should've shared it was so much food. I went with the s'mores option and my friend had the blueberry and she definitely made the better choice. The "smores" just had mini marshmallows (not melted), banana, and graham crackers - no chocolate! The yellowish sauce you see in the pics is apparently "chocolate Boston cream sauce" but it didn't taste like chocolate at all and wasn't very appetizing looking. The overall effect very dry. I wound up scraping off the "toppings" and just going with some reliable maple syrup. Service was great though and I liked the ambiance so I'd go back, just not for the s'mores pancakes.
Very cute neighborhood to grab breakfast/lunch, take a walk, and shop. It was a nice morning so we sat in the patio (big mistake). Food was decent and service was quick. The only issue we had were the yellow jacket bees/wasps that kept flying around us. We noticed the table next to us was dealing with the same issue. (We visited at the end of August). We ended up packing our food to go and eating it at the park nearby. Unfortunate but also didn't mind finishing our breakfast in the park.
We had been to the Paramount, for breakfast, and I fell in love with a French toast. So, we assumed the dinner food would be just as memorable... WRONG. I've never met a Bolognese I didn't like... Until now. Somehow, they managed to make a classic pasta dish, with rich, red meat, tangy tomato sauce, and salty cheese... Flavorless. I honestly thought I may have contracted Covid and lost my taste buds. So, I had my partner taste it too... Same response. All I can guess is that they made it with only ground beef, which is not what was advertised on the menu. The chef used almost no tomato sauce. Instead, they relied on heavy cream, which had very little flavor. Even the pasta was mushy and overcooked... so disappointing. The teriyaki stirfry was advertised as including carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, and peppers. We asked them to hold the peppers and assumed they would include extra vegetables or replace them with something else. Instead, they took away the peppers... And the carrots... Leaving us very little vegetables at all. THE DEAL: the Paramount is the place to be for brunch... but I would skip it for dinner!
Came here on Sunday around 12:30pm and the line was out the door, but only waited about 20 minutes. The inside is very cozy. I sat right by the cooking section, so it was so cute watching everything being cooked. My friend and I loved the French toast and paramount breakfast. Will come again!
The waiter was great, perhaps he was the manager for owner. For food we really wanted a light bite. I got one taco and hubby got a burger with coleslaw. When you sit down, they immediately bring over in housemade tortilla chips. So yummy and fresh. It comes with a very smooth Salsa type of sauce. Very nice touch since we were hungry. A nice menu, it is pricey, but given the location we expected that. We chose to eat inside, but there were are some nice tables outside. If you don't mind people walking by and seeing what you're eating.

We had the huevos rancheros and the burrata caprese sunrise toast. Mine was the clear winner and was absolutely fantastic! As a side note: these may have been the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had. Crispy, well seasoned, tasty! There's a lot of tables outside and some inside. We sat outside. Can't comment on parking as we walked there. Please note we got there early and it was starting to get busy but by the time we were done there was a HUGE line. Will absolutely return when we are back in town.
After seeing so many amazing reviews, I was disappointed in my experience here. Wasn't terrible, wasn't amazing. Staff was great I have to say, but the food was kinda just that. Nothing that stood out, we tried 4 different breakfast items. The potatoes were very over cooked, not a huge amount of flavor. Definitely a small town, cute cafe vibe. Worth a try. Maybe just an off day, or we didn't happen to order the things everyone loves.
My friend and I had lunch together on Friday afternoon at the Paramount and we loved it! We sat outside and liked how the umbrellas provided a lot of shade. It is a little cramped (both inside and outside) so keep this in mind if you like a lot of room. I tried the Rose Bellini and my friend had the Agave Mango Peach Spritz. We both really enjoyed our drinks - the flavor combinations were delicious and perfect for a summer lunch. To eat, I had the Paramount Burger without onion rings and I added avocado. I ordered it medium and it came exactly as I'd asked. This burger was absolutely wonderful. Juicy, flavorful, tons of avocado, and crispy bacon. I was so pleased. My friend ordered the Burrata Caprese Sunrise Toast and she was equally happy. It looked divine and she cleared the plate. The service was great and the prices are pretty standard for Boston. It's a fun spot to grab a bite if you're around the Boston Commons. We also had no issue finding parking right on the street. We'll certainly be returning!
Had the shrimp scampi, just as it comes, & it was fabulous. Definitely, above expectations, but I'm u sure what I was expecting. The shrimp were plump, cooked perfectly, & came in abundance. The seasonings were spot on. I wish Florida had seafood like Boston. We came before a mad dinner rush & after the breakfast/lunch rushes, & almost had the place to ourselves. Quaint, very warm (yes, it was cold out, but I had to stand in the doorway for a few minutes), & the service was wonderful. Very attentive, but not overbearing. My son cleared his plate. Thank you for a beautiful evening.

Food: none of it was good enough to write home about. I am not mad I ate here at all but would I rush back here no. Things tasted fresh and the waffle was the showstopper. Mimosas were super underwhelming personally which is surprising cause it's just OJ and champagne but whatever! Service: basic service nothing bad not amazing about it which is all I require I'm not looking to be like wow'd by service I go to restaurants to eat you feel me overall not bad! For a dreary weekday morning, this place was packed; we got the last two top before a list started to form. I opted for the burrata avocado toast and it was decadent - from the sourdough bread to the egg, it was delicious and fresh. My husband opted for a breakfast sandwich and cleaned his plate. My latte was good. Service was incredibly quick. And the stacks of pancakes that kept going by our table looked incredible! read more

This place always has a line outside, but luckily we found the sweet spot and didn't have to wait too long. It's cozy inside with less than 20 tables and they are very close together. They offer a brunch menu so you could get breakfast or lunch depending on what you like. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine which came on multigrain bread. I was a little skeptical about it coming on bread instead of an english muffin but I was proven wrong, it was so good!!! I loved mine. The vegan burger was pretty good but a little dry. The huevos rancheros weren't anything to write home about but good. We did feel rushed because of the line so the food came quick and they were quick to bring the bill over once they observed you were close to being done. After cheering on my friends at their half marathon, we headed straight to The Paramount to fill up on their pancakes. They just brought out their outdoor seating for the summer, which made the line move faster than expected--but heads up if you've never been: they will not seat you until your full party is there. We loaded up on the classic stack of pancakes and I also grabbed the berry parfait which was surprisingly light. They have an extension brunch menu that'd I'd recommend for anyone to try! read more

Got dessert at the Paramount after a night on the esplanade/beacon hill. This chocolate molten lava cake was delicious but quite small for the price. $14 felt pretty steep but the cake was moist and tasty. Not sure that I'd come back for the cake but would like to try their brunch menu which I know is more popular read more
Great service, busy at noon but we got a table quickly. A man saw us looking at our map suggested The Paramount and we are so glad he did! The burger and steak sandwich were both excellent. The Fries were perfect and the coleslaw creamy. The pickled onions, sweet red pepper, and pickles were a treat. And they had Chai with oat milk! Loud diner with outside seating, but that was fine for lunch. read more
Sunday morning breakfast on beacon hill. The location is great, near parks and hotels on lovely Charles street in beacon hill. The restaurant is very small and the tables are few and tightly packed in. There was a 15 minute wait outside because this place is so popular. The food: Breakfast Sandwich: very good and a large sandwich packed with eggs, bacon, cheese. Burrata capresse sunrise toast: nice sized portion on toasty bread. Kind of like a eggs benny with a chunk of burrata on the side. Mediterranean omelette: this was the best. A delicious omelette stuffed with artichokes, Kalamata olives and other veggies. It was delicious. Came topped with a weird tasting pink sauce that didn't enhance the flavor. The coffee was good and so was the service. But it was very crowded and difficult to move around since the place is do small. I still recommend a try. read more
I was in Boston for work and had some time to kill, so I decided to stop in the paramount, I lucked out and was able to sit right away. I had eaten before so I decided to enjoy a mimosa flight! They had original, cranberry, pineapple and mango, all delicious and refreshing! Check them out if you are in the area! read more

Small, old-timey breakfast spot. No reservations but there was almost no wait and orders came out pretty quickly. Limoncello Mimosa 9/10 - Taste more like a lemon drop and was fairly strong. Irish Coffee 7/10 - Good, but not remarkable. It was mostly whipped cream. Brioche French Toast 7.5/10 - Tastes amazing but it was soooooo thick! Couldn't finish all three pieces. Buttermilk Pancakes 7.5/10 - Same as the French toast, it was good but so freaking thick. I had to use sooooooo much syrup and I'm not a syrup girl. Home Fries 5/10 - At this point I was wondering if the theme was thick. These were cut so big it was crazy. They were seasoned well but dry. Please cut smaller! Eggs ???? - My gf got hers fried hard and loved them. I got mine "scrambled" w/ cheese and hated it - it tasted like they fried mine and just threw two slices of cheese on top. So if you liked fried eggs you should enjoy these. read more

Tried this place on a Sunday afternoon, waited around 40 mins. Small place. We had the paramount breakfast and the huevos rancheros. Both were pretty good. The iced chai was good but too sweet. The workers are very efficient. read more
Visited The Paramount while visiting Boston early November and let me tell you this was the BEST BREAKFAST! I waited about an hour but I would do it all over just to dine here! Service was quick and our breakfast was excellent! The French toast was the best I've ever had! If you are in the Beacon Hill area you must go to The Paramount! You will know you're in the right place when you see the long line outside! PRO TIP - Order the French toast you won't regret it! read more

I dined here with a friend last weekend. It was our first time dining there and we truly enjoyed it. Since it was a weekend, we expected that we need to wait and we queued about 30 minutes outside before we were seated. The space is cozy and the atmosphere is relaxing. The service was great and the dishes came out very fast. The flavors were great and we really enjoyed every bite of our food. I do wish they could expand and accommodate more people but nonetheless the speed and service and taste were spot on. This is a must try breakfast spot if you're in Boston! read more

We walked there with the hope that there wouldn't be a long line and we got there just in time to enjoy the great food and service. Quick and well prepared breakfast. Would recommend if you are in the area, the kids wanted to go back so that's a winner in my book! read more
This seems to be THE brunch spot on Beacon St. Their menu was pretty typical of American Brunch. We got the Breakfast Burrito with Sweet Potato Fries, Smoked Salmon Omlette, and Turkey Breakfast Sandwich. Everything was tasty but nothing crazy. Salmon was way too salty for me too. The Paramount was our first stop on our first of two days touring Boston. We arrived just before opening, and rather than being welcomed, when we stepped in, were told, "We're not open yet," so headed back just outside the door, where several other patrons soon gathered, too. When they did open, a server came to the door and stated, "If you want to be outside, you can sit wherever you want." It was kind of a scramble from there, but since we were closest to the entryway, we were actually last to choose our seats. Fortunately, service was better from there! Water arrived soon, and was filled throughout our stay. My wife enjoyed a Rose Bellini with her Mediterranean Omelette, and I had Irish Cream Coffee with a delicious Dulce de Leche Banana French Toast. The granola on it was a great addition. Given where we in Boston we were dining, and that state of costs for eating out in general, the prices for the food were very reasonable. read more
Overall really good experience here at The Paramount. It's almost always pretty busy, so be ready for a little bit of a wait. In the end, the wait will probably be worth it though! We ordered a handful of dishes -- the French toast was really good and the fruit was very fresh. We also got a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese and it was good as well. As you can expect, prices were pretty steep which unfortunately prohibits a casual dining experience. Definitely would recommend as a weekly or monthly brunch stop! read more

This was a decent spot to stop for drinks while walking around Boston all day. We sat outside which was nice. The cocktails were tasty and it was a relaxing spot for a pit stop. Unsure of food since we didn't order any. Worth meeting up for drinks though. read more

Between 4 and 4:30 the kitchen is closed. It is written on their website (kinda) so I will give them that. But when we were seated at 3:45 and told we couldn't order we were understandably a little confused. The server rolled their eyes and walked away and got someone else in a "I can't talk to these idiots kind of way". So we sat (which is something I now regret) and at some of the snacks we had with us until the food came. The quality of the food ranged between underwhelming to disgusting. The burger was underwhelming. Nothing special. The Mac and cheese (photo included) was a soupy mess of pasta and watered down cheese wiz. read more

This restaurant is very much Beacon Hill personified. Okay brunch food. Mediocre at best. The service is quick but I feel like I just went to Park Slope or Carroll Gardens and just got the same thing. The French Toast is tiny, and the strawberries were not fresh. At least the bananas were. And if it were not for the fact the whipped cream made the fruit taste better, this dish would not be good at all. Perhaps I should have stuck with the Huevos Rancheros. It gets busy here quick, so get here early or you could be here awhile. This is mostly true for weekend visits. read more

(Better late than never review lol) We Visited from CA and stayed around the corner, went for breakfast, the kids and I loved it so we ate there two mornings in a row. The French toast was delightful and the eggs Benedict was my favorite. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming. The ambiance was perfect, one day we sat outside and the next we sat inside. The outdoor seating was perfect considering that at the time we went it was early fall, crisp air but sunny. Beautiful set up, good food, and nice staff :) read more
