I've been going to eva for the past 2 years and i wouldn't change her! she's amazing. My dad, mom and boyfriend go to her for arrangements! I always call her last minute but she never dissapoints! We have also rented table cloths for our famiky parties and they are very nice. Aswell as ordered center pieces for the tables. Her prices are very affordable, way cheaper than other flower shops! FRAUD!! Horrible customer service. She asked my sister for half the down payment on the "hall" she rents out. My sister clearly asked if she had working AC and she said yes. But my sister found out from another source that AC doesnt work!! My sister requested for jer Money back as she clearly lied to her about having working AC. Do not ,I repeat do not go here, save yourself time, money, and a headache. First off , apart from decorating for parties ,Evangelina Topete also known as "Eva" also rents out a "party" hall in Hayward at 2889 Kelly St. I went to tour the hall in March 2026 i noticed there was no ventilation so I asked if there was functioning air conditioning and Eva said yes. I proceeded to reserving the hall with a $250 deposit and had her sign a reciept, my event is in October2026 . About 6 weeks ago Eva txt me asking me for another $300 to Secure the hall which was already secured and said she needed at least half . I thought thats what the $250 was for, but offcourse i was super naive and said well sure and i went in person and gave her the $300 and had her sign another reciept for me. About 3 weeks ago a friend went to that hall for a party and told me that it was Extremely hot inside and the AC was not on or "functioning" so Eva had to have fans brought in!! I asked eva to meet me at the hall 2 weeks ago and she came in and when i opened the door it literally was like stepping into the Bakersfield heat. It was bad and definately not sure if this place is up to code. I immediately asked her again about the AC and told her about my friend experience and she confirmed it happened and said "no worries if you decide to cancel i can refund you your deposit no problem mija". I trust her word and said ill confirm by tomorrow, keeping in mind my event was not until October and i would let her know asap so she can offer it to another client . Sure enough the day after i txt her letting her know that we wont proceed with the hall and when we can meet for the deposit return, she never responded after i brought up the deposit. Its been 2 weeks and she blocked my txts after last week. By the way I also just found out she scammed my cousin for her flower wedding arranegements in August 2015, my cousin gave her a $600 deposit and a week before her wedding Eva went MIA and never showed up. Look the other way even if you have to pay more and if you have already booked with her do not proceed to give her more money before your event because she will push and push for more and leave you hanging . Eva has gone through the whole process with me, bridal shower and wedding. Although I must admit I wasn't a fan of my bridal bouquet I can't discredit everything else was just great especially for the price. At the end of the day it looked great but of course I would have liked specific things different. Candelabras were provided by here. Flowers on top were prefect. Small vessels surrounding candelabras didn't have enough flowers in them. Garland greenery that was in the middle of the longer tables wasn't fluffy enough. Flower girls - flower ball and headbands were perfect. Grooms - boutineer was classic and elegant MOH/MOB - bracelets were very pretty. Overall she captured my weddings vision. I would definitely recommend her. make sure to be as specific as possible. read more

Eva did an amazing job for our daughter's Quinceanera party. She was very easy to work with, her suggestions were great and was able to match our color scheme perfectly. From the balloons to the table overlays and sashes. She has a nice collection of linens to choose from and makes the most wonderful fresh flower arrangements. Note: We did notice discrepancies when the hall was being setup (less balloons than agreed on the center pieces and bouquets, for instance) but a word to the person doing the work (Eva was setting at another location) and a quick call to Eva set everything to rights and just as agreed. Either way it doesn't hurt having someone check just to make sure her helpers got all their instructions right. read more

I went to Bloomers on a Sunday afternoon looking for a last minute gift, and oh boy was I wowed! At first I was scared, because it looked like an abandoned flower shop and like someone ransacked the place. But then the Evangelina (most likely the owner) came out from the back and quickly helped me. I told her what I wanted, why I wanted it, what colors I wanted to include in it, and how much I was looking to spend, and she immediately started working on it even though she was working on party decorations in the back. All I could say was, wow, what a multi-tasker! Evangelina did the arrangement in about 10 minutes and the end result was amazing! I could not have imagined she would do such a kick ass job. I would definitely refer others to her services as they are reasonably priced and high quality. I would give her 0 stars if I could. We went to Eva for my quinceñera decorations because we heard she was really cheap. Her business looked legit and she was very friendly. We planned everything with her and were really excited for all our decor at such a low price. Long story short, she did not decorate my quince the way we planned it. She didn't bring enough table covers and runners, used different vases then what we had specifically said, used different flowers than what we said, and forgot to add certain things to the tables. She also forgot the boutonnières for my chambelanes and the background set up for my main table. It was so hard to track her down to return us the money she owed for her horrible job. She even had the NERVE to ask my sister to BORROW SOME MONEY from her! We weren't the only ones who she did dirty. I used Eva for my wedding in June of this year and these are my thoughts. Pros: Price was amazing. I looked all over and she had the best rate. She added a lot of freebies. She was willing to meet with me as many times as I wanted before the wedding. She was accommodating and travelled to Piedmont for the ceremony to set up the flowers. She gave me free flowers every time I met with her and was very warm and kind. Cons: We set meetings a few times and she either was not there or did not show up on time. Although the flowers were pretty good for the wedding she added glitter to my bouquet that I did not request. Some of the arrangements looked very different (less flowers) the day of than they did when I met with her. Ultimately I am happy I went with her and was able to support a local business however, it was not completely what I had envisioned nor were the flowers delivered that day of the wedding the same as the trial or photos I provided. read more

I was expecting good flowers and a high price because i know an old boyfriend that used to buy me big bouqets of roses and flowers here for me and I absolutely loved them! So i was a little scared that i would spend a pretty penny for a nice bouqet but to my surprise i got a great flower arrangement for a great price! I was helped by a women named eva, i tolled her the reason why i needed flowers and she then asked me for a price range..... I said i wasnt sure and she asked $20? I was so ready to give Eva 5 stars, but unfortunately I feel that it would be more fair if I give her 3. Pros: 1. She is very friendly and generous. When I went in to talk with her, she gave me a free rose and beautiful orchid branch. Just for talking with her! 2. She is very reasonable in price. Very affordable especially for wedding flowers. 3. She gave us a sample of the reception flowers for free and it gorgeous and huge! 4. She was very willing to give us more for free (like a brides tossing bouquet). With all this good stuff, why am I rating her only 3 stars?! Here is why: 1. I emailed her a picture of each item I ordered (bouquets, bouts, centerpieces) and even gave notes on each one saying what I would like, and pretty much only the centerpieces came out the way I wanted. Everything else was not really what I envisioned. 2. We went over exactly what she would do for the reception tables and she promised certain details (like orchids in the vases) but it wasn't done. Some were half halfheartedly done but that made it even more awkward... 3. The delivery/set up people were late and the ceremony wasn't even set up when the ceremony was supposed to start! All my guests had arrived already and they had to awkwardly stand around outside....and this was literally only because of the florist. Everything else was ready. 4. The sample centerpiece she gave me was big and full and gorgeous. But the ones that ended up at the wedding were rather small. I didn't even have a huge wedding either (only 130 guests) so it should've been manageable. 5. The ceremony was not set up correctly. Maybe because they were running behind schedule. But it was important to me that the flowers were the way we had discussed and it wasn't done. In the end, I'm still glad I had Eva do my flowers. It was affordable and pretty. I'm picky about flowers though and I'm a little disappointed that it didn't turn out the way I hoped. I think if I wasn't led to expect what was discussed/planned, then it would've been ok. I wanted to do something nice for my mother and surprise her with a bouquet of flowers. After looking at a few options I landed on "Bloomers". From the few reviews that I was able to read and the photos, it looked to be a promising business with a sturdy reputation for the most part. After calling the number listed on Yelp and there was no answer I received a call from another random number. Apparently it was Bloomers, or some lady who works for them calling back about the order. I expressed to them my desires and at the moment it seemed like things were going to go smooth. Halfway into the conversation the phone cut out. I called the number back to get no answer, but a text message saying they would call me back in 10 minutes. Already it seemed I was dealing with a person who lacked professionalism, they later texted me asking to "TEXT" them my credit card information. I don't know about you guys in Yelp land but or me thats something I am not comfortable with. I tried calling the number back at least five times to follow up with my order because of course they never called back, and still have not heard anything back from them. Obviously it reached the point for me to take my business elsewhere but its really unfortunate because I thought I was going to get one thing and got something completely different. I would not refer this flower service to anyone, at any point...ever! I begin to send a message to the number to tell her about herself and how "great a business" she was running but honestly Bloomers is not worth my breath nor time. If looking for flowers in Hayward avoid this company, they obviously have some loose ends when it comes to running a business in the proper manner and if someone who is irresponsible as whoever i was talking to on the phone is behind it, I would not even trust them to handle my order.(Or my credit information) read more

My experience with Eva was horrible!! My wedding was in June and in February we first sat down with her to order everything I wanted to make my wedding special. We met up with her a total of 3 time after that to give her payments until she was paid-off. So what I order from her was flowers for the centerpiece for each table total of 20 tables, chair covers and bows for 200 chairs, over lay for each table, and she was also supposed to decorate the bride and grooms table and do my flower bouquet. We paid her $520 in advance for everything. Keeping in contact with her before the wedding was no problem so I talked to her a week before the wedding and told her the venue was going to be available for us to decorate the day before the wedding sense their was no parties booked at the venue the day before. So we agree to meet there at 5 and start setting up the tables and putting the covers on the chairs pretty much I was expecting her to be there and do everything except the flowers. Because I wanted the flowers to be fresh so all she had to bring the day of the wedding was the flowers. I was there but she never came instead she send someone else to do it and they didn't have enough chair covers and the bows for the chairs were all different color NONE of them the color I ordered the overlay for the tables were okay even though she had to go back and get some more cause she didn't have enough. Finally we finished setting up and the lady said she would bring the correct color bows the next day with Eva sense She said Eva was going to be finishing up the hall the next day. I BELIEVE IT! So on my wedding day i called one of the waitress working that day and i asked if the lady had gone to take the flowers she said NO! Thats when I panicked, my guest were soon to arrive and the the bride and grooms table was plain and so were my centerpiece and i didn't have a bouquet. I called her texted her and got NOTHING! By the time I got to the venue the only flowers anywhere were the ones on my wedding cake. And the bows on the chairs were different colors. I had all kinds of mixed emotions I was mad, happy, sad, but most of all I was very disappointed with Eva. So I was not going to let her ruin my wedding day luckily my cousin is the one that made my beautiful wedding cake with flowers the same kind of flowers that I was suppose to have at the tables, so she was able to make me a flower bouquet with extra flowers she had from the cake. Anyways 3 days later she finally replied to my husbands text and apologized saying she had to leave to Sacramento because her nephew got shot and killed. I don't know if this was true or not but i felt no kind of sympathy for her I still think it was just an excused. Its now 3 months later and Im still holding those 200 chair covers and bows and table overlays from the wedding, she has made promises to give us our money back and still hasn't so I'm just thinking about selling her stuff, anybody interested contact me. read more

I generally do not review other wedding vendors, but I must warn other brides about this florist. I recently photographed a wedding where Bloomers was the florist. Not only were they late setting up, there were not enough center pieces for the tables, they forgot the flowers for the ceremony - and told the day of contact that they would be right back. They never showed up. The bouquets were falling apart nearly immediately after the ceremony. They were incredibly unprofessional and lacked a sense if urgency on someone's wedding day. If I am frustrated with them, I can only imagine what the couple must feel. read more

Let's start off with do not use this lady. My friend had just had a wedding and used her to decorate and be her florist. She forgot a lot of stuff and the hall was not set up accordingly to the way the bride paid wanted and expected! First thing the brides bouquet was totally wrong not even the right color and the flowers were dying. She did not have enough bridesmaids bouquets. Flowers in church were fake which were supposed to be real. The center pieces were completely wrong and a lot of the deserts were missing were placed in a place where they were not supposed too.My other friend had cancelled before the 30days and has not been able to get a hold of Eva for her deposit. TERRIBLE QUALITY, UNRELIABLE SERVICE. I went to Bloomers at 9:00 AM to pick up several sets of corsages for prom (we had scheduled a pickup time for 9:00 AM). When I arrived, the woman said they were not ready. I then told them that I would come by to pick them up at 12:00 PM, and she said the flowers would be ready. However, I came in at 1:00 PM and she had JUST BEGUN MAKING THE CORSAGES AMD BOUTONNIERES. We waited until nearly 4:00 PM before we could get all of our orders. There were also several other people who had ordered and had not received theirs either. Because of this SEVEN HOUR DELAY, it threw off our ENTIRE schedule for prom. I cannot understand how they can do business with such a laid-back, unprofessional attitude. My friends and I will not return to this place ever again. read more

I had high hopes for her but in the end I was disappointed in the flowers I received. Instead of one star I gave her two for her good price on rentals (table clothes and napkins). As for the flower, they were a disaster. For my wedding I had ordered four bouquets each with a different color ribbon and a large bouquet for myself. When the delivery arrived 30 minutes before my wedding I almost cried. It literally looked like she went to someone's yard and cut the flowers and greenery. The flowers were very long and the "ribbon" was a big bow.... Who wants a bow on a bouquet?? And my bride bouquet was tiny. It was really bad and I was disappointed especially because I had see make amazing bouquets before. I think What happened was she over booked and was rushed. read more

I called Eva back in April to send flowers for my mom's birthday. I was in LA and she's in Hayward - Eva was very helpful in making that happen. I called her, told her I needed flowers the same day delivered - and I wanted it to be special, and I wanted it worth every penny. I know that was a lot to ask for - but Eva really really came through. She took pictures of the flowers and sent them to me before delivering them. That helped me a lot - I care about my gifts, and I am glad I found someone that cares just as much. I must add, that same day, I asked Eva to send my mom flowers for Mother's day too - (just in case I forget it) So if she didn't hear from me, to please send it - come Mother's day, I called my Mom in the morning - to wish her (forgetting all about that arrangement) -- a few hours later, my mom called me back to say she received the most amazing bouquet :-) Really made my day. This florist deserves zero stars for her services. Eva did a wedding for a family member of mine that I assisted with, and she did a horrible job. She was hired to do a complete set up and break down. She did a partial set up and left half the tables for the reception undone/undecorated and the arch for the ceremony had no flowers. She was also supposed to provide the flowers for the flower girls and the runner for the ceremony. Even some of our guest were commenting that the wedding decor seemed unfinished (how embarrassing). What topped it off for the day, Eva decided she wasn't going to answer anyone's calls. I know this is way late but on the day of my wedding as I was getting my hair done I get a call about how and when they will be setting up. She also tells me they don't have the flowers I wanted so were going to use these other roses. They claim the place she got them from was closed when originally she has said she already ordered them! I was so upset. Then she didn't even show she sent a relative and they were shot on the flowers for the men so had to use the tables ones to make some. We tried getting a refund but nope she avoided us like the plague. Now I think she's out of business last I checked. What a huge disappointment after all the good service I had prior. And why would u say u ordered when u didn't and how can not know the other places hours when u always use them? Very fishy to me read more

Positive things: Eva's prices were great. She gave me a lot of flowers for my wedding. My guests said the wedding decorations were beautiful. She makes beautiful flower halos. She does have a talent with decorations. She is kind. However, the bad things outweigh the good... Negative things: She doesn't do everything as promised/agreed on. For my bridal shower, she didn't put a backdrop. Also, I asked for an aqua-colored table cloth and instead, she gave me purple. She just gave me a regular chair for my bridal shower, not a couch, like we asked for. After the bridal shower, we were upset with her and we confronted her. She apologized and said she would make it up to us for the wedding. Since we saw that she had done a great job on a friend of mine's bridal shower, we decided to give her another chance. After all, she was agreeing to make it up to us by making the wedding arrangements cheaper and adding more silverware. But in the wedding, she was late in preparing the tables. My guests came and she was still working on the decorations AND she had just started the flower halos (as a consequence, 2 of my bridesmaids entered without flower halos which wasn't fair to them). We specifically asked for a love seat not two couches, but she gave us 2 couches anyway. And she was late in making my bouquet as well. read more

BRIDES BEWARE! I never post reviews, but I want to warn other brides to stay away from this shady businsess. Eva promises things she does not plan to provide and she is scamming people by taking your money up front and using it for her other jobs that come up before your event, she then uses whatever money she can get from other clients upfront for your job. So if she quoted you a 1500 job, and you paid 1500 6 months later when your job arrives she only uses what money she has from other client qoutes even if it's let than the origianl amount you paid. She asked for payment in full before she delivered our services, beacuse she was recommended by a friend I trusted I went against my better judement and paid her upfront. She promised that she would show me a preview of her idea for my centerpieces before my wedding but she had to order the items first. She cashed my check and never ordered the items needed for my center peices, after a month or two I tried following up with her multiple timesl she kept coming up with family emergeny excuses for why she hadn't ordered my items. When it became apparent she spent the money I gave her for other jobs and she hadn't ordered my items yet because she spent my money I requested a refund. She could not refund me the full amount and kept telling me she couldn't pay me until she got money for another job and come back at so and so time after she gets paid, well we would come back and same excuse, sorry I don't have the money come back at so and so time when I have the money. Eventually she began avoiding me, she would not be at her store when she promised she would to provided a full refund and she bagan ignoring and screening my calls. She would not write a check upon our request and claims her credit card mahcind doesn't work. We never got a full refund and if the amount she stole from us was large enough we would have taken her to small claims court. read more

Let me start off by saying that I had to create a yelp account just to leave a review, which I had never took the time to do, BUT with this lady I had to! PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE YOU GO TO Eva!!!!! We had about 6+ months to plan and order everything for my wedding, I looked this place up, and I wish I would have read ALL the reviews on here! Me trusting and personally being referred to this place I said i'd give it a try.........which was a total mistake! First off, the first day I went in to place my order, right away she gave me a price of 400$, but to me nothing on my order list was even close to 400$ so I had her sit down and go over the prices, which in the end my total came to be about $250. So OBVIOUSLY she tries to over charge you, and if you don't take the time to question or review your total, she doesn't care and will make you pay a lot more!!!!! I still went ahead and had her submit my order, we talked about ideas, i showed her pictures and examples. Everything looked like it was going great until the second time I went in. I SPECIFICALLY told her that I needed 3 table linens for our main tables and that they needed to drop down to the floor, which of course she said she had some, BUT she would have to get them from her storage. I said yes, but stated many times that I wanted to see them first to make sure they were what I was looking for. (forgot to mention this was about 1-2 months before the wedding, since these were the final items I needed). It took her about 1-2 weeks before she had the table linens at her shop for me to see, meanwhile I'm texting her, calling her, waiting for her at her shop because again, she completely began to ignore me and not give me any answers. The day I showed up at her shop, I was in and she was in there, just sitting there on her phone when for the past week she wasn't able to answer ANY of my phone calls or AT LEAST let me know she did not have the table linens yet. SHE PROMISED that she would deliver them to my home that following Friday. I must also mention, it took her another 2 weeks to deliver those table linens at my home, and didn't even apologize or justify herself as to why I hadn't heard from her when again, by this time my wedding was less than 1 month away. She FINALLY left the linens at my home and when I saw them I realized they weren't the color nor the length she had said she had! I called/texted her and again did not hear from her at all!!! By this point I was extremely pissed, frustrated, & confused since I didn't have much time to go order at a different shop. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and continued to wait, 2 weeks before the wedding I surprisingly stopped by again and again, she was there, on her phone, but wasn't able to respond tome at all. I had ALL my flower stuff ordered with her, 3 different orders, and I always wondered how she memorized the colors, and exact details of my order. One day I asked her and she said " Oh I remember, I have to" so at that point I guess that was good enough of an answer for me. That same day, 3rd visit to her shop, she explained how busy she had been and that she again, would deliver the CORRECT color and length table linens. I get to my house to see that the color is correct, but they were NOT drop to floor ones, instead they were overlays!!!!!! Which I specified to her MANY times. (2 weeks before wedding) If you've been married before you understand my frustration with this unprofessional lady. But there's more............Due to A LOT going wrong, and all the call rejecting, and having all my text messages ignored, I told her I wanted all my item in hand by Friday evening, and she of course promised I would have everything by Thursday and the final items Friday 5pm. Friday 5pm I send her a text saying we were out of church rehearsal, and that I would be able to pickup my stuff then. She said she was very busy and that she would take EVERYTHING to my home at 9pm. I was totally fine with that, I guess at that point I had no other option since my wedding was the next MORNING!!!!! I would give it a 0 unfortunately I can't worse service ever she doesn't show up to decorate for your events when shes suppose to but she does the collect the money she even went to my house for money. She always has excuses and says that she had a lost or accident but never the truth. Do not trust her I gave her over $2,000 for 2 events i was having one in April that she didn't show up to decorate but I did give her all the money now in 2 weeks I'm having a wedding and she doesn't respond on how she will refund me with all my money. She's a scam people so please stop going to her and avoid all of this problems and stress. I filed a report with BBB and police report so I hope they do something about it and i get my money back. Horrible!!! I had started going here since Dec 2013, for an event that was June 2014. I sent Eva pictures of exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it. Please note that every time I went in, I had set an appointment. During my appointment, there were walk-in customers which took away from my time. She did not give me her full attention. I had her do a trial table setting (as I stated earlier, I had sent her pictures of exactly what I wanted), and it was so UGLY! I asked her to do a trial backdrop (for the stage) and it looked so tacky. As far as the flowers, it was not set in the vase....she used gel instead of water (even though I specifically text her I wanted fresh flowers in water). I had gone (with a set appointment time) and nothing was going how I wanted it so I had to let her go and find another decorator. So be aware that when I told her I will be taking my business else where, I obviously asked for my money back...which she had already spent. She stated that she did not have the money and I will have to wait for 2 weeks...which I patiently did. She never called me to tell my that she had my money. When I tried calling her (so I can pick it up), she ignored my calls....then when I showed up at the store, she said she still didn't have the money and needed another week. so the fires time i came here my mom and i were looking for quinceanera dresses because there was a dress place before it and we met Eva. She seemed really nice and trustworthy person but we didn't make any arrangements at first because she was barely moving her stuff in. Then a few months later we went again, it was my mom, my aunt (which btw was paying for most of the decorations) and we went in and another lady was there and she gave us a few flower magazine thinggys and we looked over them and the lady was like " Oh Eva will be here in about 5 minutes." so we ended up waiting for 20 minutes. when she finally came we discussed what we wanted and it was set that we would meet at the hall on November 5th. November 5th came and we went to the hall and waited an hour and then another and then another and she never showed up ! we kept calling her and texting her but guess what? No reply!!! i was really mad and worried because my quince was on November 29th. so the next week the same thing happened! i was even more worried and so my dad decided to go to the shop and ask wtf was going on and she gave him some lame ass excuse. -_- but she said she would go to our house on Sunday and what a surprise she didn't show up. she ended up going the week before my quinceanera and we were like ok she showed up ad we talked about what happened and we were like its going to be fine. the day of my quince i was really excited to see how things were going to turnout and my mom went to the hall to put everything where it was going to be and i was pretty sure it was going to be really nice because if my mom doesn't like something she will make them change it. when i got to church i saw my bouquet and i was like omg its beautiful !! but then some of the flowers were falling out but i was able to cover it up. the guys boutonnieres and the girls corsages were also really nice. i was the decorations on the inside and they were nice and simple like we set them but she promised me a white carpet but it wasn't there!!!! later when we got to the hall i was ready to do my main entrance my mom came out and pulled me out and i have a really short temper so she was like "Vanessa don't get mad but Eva didn't decorate how she said she was but it still looks ok so don't worry ok?" i was like oh shit. so we went inside and it was nothing like how we planned ! our table diamonds were going to be tiffany blue flower ones but they weren't even my dress color! they were a dark blue ! she promised me white lights on my table of honor but nope! the ribbons around the chairs were 3 or 4 different colors -.- like really ? were paying you for something classy, not a circus. she also said she was going to spell my name out with huge silver balloons but they were nowhere in sight. she also said no to giving me one of those nice special chairs because and i quote "they will be able to tell which one is hers." lol nope they didn't. later i found out she was doing my cousins wedding and i warned her about what she did. long story short. its better to pay a little extra for a well done job instead of paying a little for a half ass job. She should not be in business. She never answers her phone when you need to get a hold of her just to conform stuff and the date that was arrangement she will never answer her phone or respond to a text. She had promised chair cover , sash, center pieces,party favors for my daughters sweet 16 party she had promised everything a week before my party and she never came through I gave her chance after chance and she never answered her phone or was at her shop.
