Menu and kimchi skillet and coffee!
    Faith E.

This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch! It was my first time here. It wasn't very busy. The coffee was good, the service was fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfy. The menu has a lot to offer. There's a lot of interesting breakfast dishes with skillets and omelettes and sandwiches. I got the kimchi fried rice skillet which was really tasty and I would definitely get again!

Very nice and clean facility with very pleasant staff. I ordered The Decker, which included hash browns, diced sausage, biscuits and gravy, topped with scrambled eggs. Save for the scrambled eggs, the dish was delicious. The scrambled eggs were cooked way too long. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict which she loved.

Glad to see such a place close by to home and with plenty of parking. The decor is modern, the dinning area is well laid out and the entire area is clean. They have a good selection of items on the menu for breakfast, although the lunch menu seems a bit thin. The service is very friendly, tentative and prompt. The food comes out as ordered and at the right temperature. Most importantly, the food is good!! I also like that they use toast for quick and easy payment.

    SOUTHERN BLT

We waited a short time and walked into a clean and friendly cafe! The waitress was a delight and the food was fresh and tasty! The seasoning on the fries was the talk of the table! Fresh , tasty and a great experience. Highly recommend! Two of us had the Southern BLT & one had the Bistro Benedict!

Two egg breakfast with bacon and hash browns and side of pancakes (real butter too!)

Bloomin' Cafe had gone through some growing pains when initially started, but definitely found their footing in a nice spot with ample parking in north Normal, Illinois. There have been changes made within the past year, some more subtle than others, but they make all the difference. The friendly, open atmosphere for breakfast is inviting and welcoming. The owners and their servers are all friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and that just makes you feel at ease to enjoy your meal. Speaking of which, some of the subtle changes you may notice are the organic ketchup condiment you have on the table and the real butter being used with your meal and for sides. This is intentional as it's about ensuring better quality, less additive ingredients are being used when preparing and serving your meal. Adding quality garnishes and spices to things like your eggs and hashbrowns are minor yet quite noticeable and enhance the meal in just the right way. Something that almost sounds silly when I'm saying it, yet is grossly devoid in many places is the fact that when you take a bite and taste the eggs, they taste like really fresh real eggs. Hashbrowns as well don't taste or feel like they have a bunch of extra or processed junk with them. A little salt and pepper to taste for each enhances the already great flavor. Additionally, the pancakes are exactly the same; great taste that just seems right. The meal tastes as it should, and brings me back to memories 40 years ago how my breakfast food used to taste. A few years ago, I may have said the meal was a bit on the pricey side, but in reality these days it's on par with other restaurants. However, that is a gross understatement as the quality is punching far above this standard of a weight class as the quality ingredients and preparation are much better. I've been here when it's early morning and not so busy as well as a mid Sunday morning with a packed house, and the meals stay consistent. The cooks do an excellent job and can you can tell they actually care about how they are preparing and serving the food. The cook and the owners do come around and ensure that things are just right as they care about their business and most importantly their customers, the life blood of why they do what they do. This may sound like a lot to just talk about some eggs on a plate, but if you really do care about what you eat and enjoy a simple yet quality meal, please consider patronizing this business and supporting what a family run restaurant in your local hometown should be. You'll be glad you did.

Culinary Chronicles Review: Bloomin Cafe, Normal, Illinois Nestled in the heart of Normal, Illinois, Bloomin Cafe has become a local favorite for brunch enthusiasts. Owned by Nuli and Bimi Musaj for the past three years, this charming eatery has quickly established itself as a go-to spot for couples and food lovers alike. History and Atmosphere Bloomin Cafe opened its doors three years ago under the ownership of Nuli and Bimi Musaj, proud ISU Redbird alumni with over a decade of restaurant experience. The cafe's welcoming ambiance and family-oriented approach have transformed it into more than just a dining establishment - it's a home away from home for many patrons. Hours and Service The cafe operates from 7 AM to 1 PM on weekdays and extends its hours from 7 AM to 2 PM on weekends, catering to both early birds and late brunchers. During our visit, we were greeted by owner Nuli Musaj herself, who also served as our attentive server supporting our server Rianne, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Menu Highlights The Culinary Chronicles sampled three of Bloomin Cafe's signature dishes: * Hot Honey Sriracha Sandwich: This innovative creation features applewood smoked bacon, a hard-fried egg, fried chicken strips, and cheddar cheese, all brought together with a tantalizing hot honey drizzle. Served on cinnamon swirl French toast, it offers a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. * Brunch Burger: A hearty option combining applewood bacon, fresh tomatoes, and an egg, all served on a brioche bun. This dish exemplifies the cafe's ability to elevate classic brunch fare. * Chicken and Waffles: A crowd-pleaser featuring a Belgian waffle topped with crispy chicken strips and complemented by a delightful cinnamon syrup. This dish showcases the cafe's commitment to combining comfort food with gourmet touches. * Bistro Egg Benedicts with fresh-sliced tomato and avocado, fried egg, on a English Muffin, applewood smoked bacon with a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. Atmosphere and Clientele Bloomin Cafe has cultivated an atmosphere that particularly appeals to couples, making it a popular choice for romantic brunch dates. The warm, inviting environment created by the Musaj family contributes to the cafe's reputation as a gathering spot for those seeking both excellent food and a cozy ambiance. With its diverse menu, personalized service, and welcoming atmosphere, Bloomin Cafe continues to bloom as a standout brunch destination in Normal, Illinois, under the passionate leadership of Nuli and Bimi Musaj, along with seasoned and dedicated servers, Rianne and Jordyn

    French toast with berries

We took our car to Discount Tire and walked here while we were waiting. There were only a few other customers at 8 AM. I ordered a cheddar cheese omelet, hash browns and some French toast with fruit. My husband got the Decker skillet which had biscuits and gravy with eggs on top. The food came in about 5 minutes. The portions were huge and we both only ate half. Both were excellent! We would definitely come back if we were in the area. Prices were reasonable and staff was very friendly. We are not sure why they weren't busier because this is a great place to dine for breakfast.

Good breakfast but nothing wowed me. They can accommodate large groups which is nice. The omelette was frittata style in which the ingredients are baked into the eggs. I prefer folded omelettes. The hash browns were good. The pancakes were pretty good but had a grittiness that I couldn't understand. The biscuits and gravy were good with a flavorful thick gravy. The coffee was fine.

Cute, super clean little breakfast and lunch spot. Menu has all the stuff you expect in a breakfast/lunch place. Breakfast has eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, benedicts, omelet, plus an avocado toast plate with eggs and bacon. They have one waffle smothered in ice cream and crushed Oreos! The lunch menu offers sandwiches, salads, burgers. I went for breakfast and enjoyed a 2 egg combo with bacon and pancakes. Everything arrived hot and perfectly cooked. I'm a real butter girl so I didn't use the margarine that came with the pancakes. It was a later breakfast, so I went with iced tea and didn't try the coffee. Finally, my server was fantastic, very friendly.

Yelp reviews for the win! We're passing through the area and turned to Yelp to find a breakfast spot. Took the advice of others and tried the cinnamon swirl french toast as my side for my egg plate and am glad I did. It's like eating a cinnamon roll inside of French toast but not as sweet. I tried some with syrup and some without, I preferred without. My husband got the hobo skillet and loved it! Everything was cooked perfectly and came out super fast. Service was exceptional. Lots of parking and they offer Wi-Fi but beware of a time limit of 60 minutes at the table. Cool little spot.

The Hobo Skillet with extra crispy hash browns and French toast.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and boy it didn't disappoint. We were seated very promptly and our server Jordyn was quick to bring us coffees and water. She kindly let us take our time to peruse the menu, before we decide on the Hobo skillet (with the hash browns to be cooked extra crispy) with French toast, as well as the Garden Omelette also with French toast. The food came out promptly; in under ten minutes after we ordered. Everything tasted wonderful, especially the French toast. What I liked most was the convenience of paying right at our table after we were done with our meal. We will definitely be back!!! :) Diners tip: Because of limited seating they do ask that you keep dining to no more than 60 minutes so that other customers may get a chance to dine as well. :)

Got a flight- moon jumper (smoky), black angel (a little on the burnt side), blackberry gose, pumpkin porter (spicy but not fake pumpkin flavor spicy). Beer battered asparagus for the appetizer- delicious! Crunchy which was great! Husband and I split a bacon pickle pizza (omg!!) and spicy chicken sandwich with wedges (huge, thick potato slices). Definitely recommend the pizza, so flavorful! Spicy chicken was both hot and spicy from the jalapeños and sweet from the sauce. Madysen was our server and was amazing and attentive! We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. We started with the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.
