Blooming Creations is their preferred vendor so we grabbed their business card. We searched on line for wedding florists, pricing, ideas and reviews, and then decided to call Kim, the owner. Not only was she quick to respond, but was very friendly and knowledgeable. We met at a Starbucks where she showed us books of her work. My partner and I were in awe of the beautiful arrangements, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces she had put together in her portfolio. Kim listened to our ideas and requests. She was not pushy to sell more or to upgrade anything, but instead educated us on flower choices and options. She was patient with us throughout the entire process. Kim is the best...I recommend her to everyone I know getting married! My husband and I got married in Barrington/Bartlett area July 2008. The flowers were one of the best parts of the wedding- I even have a picture framed in my room of just the flowers:) I didn't have specific types of flowers in mind- I just knew I wanted them to be a combination of greens and whites. She knew which flowers would be the best for the season and she works with whatever budget you have. She can scale back bouquets if you want a certain price, which is what I did with the bridesmaids flowers. When she brought the flowers to the church the day of the wedding, my mom actually started crying because they were even more beautiful than anything I could have imagines. Kim was recommended to me by one of my bridesmaids that had used her in the past. I was a bride who had tastes past her budget, but Kim was amazing at translating what I envisioned into beautiful arrangements that I could afford! She created bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party. She also created an amazing chuppah for us for our ceremony, and decorated the whole ceremony space with pieces that could be used during the reception as well. The reception centerpieces were amazing, I received so many compliments on them. In addition to designing all of the floral for the wedding, she also helped us pick out the linens to coordinate with the centerpieces and get the most bang for our buck. Kim was such a pleasure to work with, and very flexible on meeting me closer to my home, and at the location as many times as we needed. My husband and I got married in July 2011 and used Kim as our florist. She was actually recommend from our event planner at our venue. We did our research and ended up meeting with 6 different florist, none of whom could compare to Kim in experience, personality, or price! She met us at Panera for our consultation and immediately made us feel comfortable. I found her by referral from a close friend whose wedding I stood up in. My friend could not say enough good things about her, and Kim lived up to those expectations. I was very pleased with my wedding flowers. Kim met my mom and I at Panera and showed us albums of her beautiful arrangements. I had some ideas of what I wanted the bouquets to look like, but I did not know what specific flowers I wanted to include. I told her what colors I wanted and she had excellent flower suggestions. I was so thankful for her knowledge and expertise! I was pleasantly surprised on the day of my wedding because the flowers were full and fresh and looked better than I imagined. When I was planning my wedding long-distance, I was dubious about coordinating with a florist and doing it cheaply. Luckily, I stumbled on Blooming Creations, and had a great experience. I visited with the Kim just once, and we were able to work out beautiful flowers within my budget. She went out of her way to deliver the boutonnieres and bouquets to the Church on Saturday morning for the bridal party's photos, then took the centerpieces to the banquet hall, and even put the arrangements into the vases we had purchased so we wouldn't have to return theirs later. Kim was so awesome to work with, I got married June of 2011 and I shopped around for a florist, her and I just clicked! I had some really unique requests and she was very understanding. We had to work with a moderate budget and she created the most beautiful arrangements with what I could afford. We were married October 3, 2010. When I was just beginning to plan the details of the day, a coworker mentioned the beautiful flowers from the wedding her daughter stood up in the weekend before.
