Beware! Opened up a store credit card at their jewelry counter in May/2017. Several fraudulent purchases of expensive items were made before we even received the card! No fraud alert/call from Bloomingdales till the 5th purchase!!!! How can someone buy all these expensive items without a picture ID/any form of identification AND apparently on dif occasions!!?! Purchases even exceeded my credit limit!! Unbelievable!!! Insider job?!? I've already contacted the BBB. If the issue is not resolved soon we'll be taking legal action! read more

I just love this location. The service is always great and that goes a long way. Really makes your shopping experience a good one. I exchanged a 500$ item with no receipt and they were more than happy to recieve it back. No dirty looks, no 100 questions about the reason why I'm returning it - just a beautiful smile and the golden question "is there anything else I can help you with?" I ordered a few dresses to choose from online for a wedding. I came to this store to return the dresses I decided not to wear on a Monday morning. The woman with short, curly black hair in the Dresses Department refused to return one of the dresses because of some lint (I am not exaggerating, it was really just lint) on the dress (the dress is brand new, all tags including the special Bloomingdales "b tag" attached), accused me of lying to her when I said the dress was only tried on once the day before, and had a very rude attitude. Maybe she hates her job or was having a bad day - I get it, regardless the way I was treated was a shame for the entire department store. I kept my cool throughout the exchange as I am a non-confrontational person, but left upset and drove to a different Bloomingdales store where I returned the perfectly new dress with no problem, no questions asked. read more

Saeed is awesome! I called him on a a Friday for some designer shoes for my husband and told he I couldn't come in until Sunday. He was very friendly and walked us over to the Gucci boutique and stayed with us the entire time to make sure we were ok and our shopping experience was a positive one. Came into Bloomingdale's at the creed boutique soon as I arrived I was greeted and introduced by the creed employee Syed. Very knowledgeable of all the creed fragrances and it's long history. We tested a lot of the fragrances with my wife and where able to vote on a fragrance that really stands out on me and was the same one I liked and was eyeballing it for a while and got aventus by creed. Along with it I got 7 free samples that should last me about 5 days to get my nose aquatinted with. He also mentioned to me if I ever need any samples not to hesitate and come visit him. I have to say that coming here made me feel like at home with no rush was very patient on my final over pick. I will continue to come here and get my fragrances. I like to shop online and pick up the items at the store in Glendale so I can see what else is there, what's new or what's on sale. The last three times have been difficult. It is not worth the aggravation to save a few dollars in shipping to have to go to the counter where online purchases are picked up. I'm not a feminist but so far, the women SA's have been nice and the men are just plain rude. If the SA's don't like working that desk, ask for a transfer to another spot in the store. I received an email from the Glendale Galleria about the new Bloomingdale's opening there and an email invitation to preview the store with a $25 gift card to use for myself and a friend. Sold! Although it's not a place I'd normally shop since I'm more of a laid-back, $30 jeans and a cute top type of girl, it was interesting to see how elegant and upscale this location was. Glendale is always into the flashy and the bling, so it's the perfect setting for the store. From luxury makeup to furs, Bloomys has high-end items you can marvel at. I picked up a Nars multiple stick and so did my friend, and the employees were all hospitable and knowledgeable about their products. My Bloomingdales service has always been excellent till today's. I bought Christmas gifts here for two people and asked for two boxes. I come home to wrap them and I found that the associate gave me a different size box top and bottom so the box doesn't close. I was also told that they don't wrap gifts when I asked her to box my gifts there so I didn't have to do it when I got homeS she said they don't, so I asked for two boxes instead. However, I clearly remember Bloomingdales wrapping my gifts every time I purchased something here. I'm so frustrated right now because the Christmas party is tomorrow. The associate number is 72039491. I wouldn't be this frustrated if she was kind to me even when I was there, but she wasn't being nice when I was purchasing my gifts either. It's best to come when they are having one of their "extra 40% off clearance" sales because you end up coming across stuff that is cheaper than Target (I've found Calvin Klein mens chonies that average about $28 a PIECE for about $2.00 here.) THIS REVIEW IS FOR AN ONLINE PURCHASE, NOT IN STORE SERVICE. I am beyond disappointed with Bloomingdales. My mother made a gift order with my Bloomingdales credit card 3 weeks prior to an event. The week of the event she gets a letter in the mail stating her order is canceled with no reason as to why and that she will get her money back. She calls and I understand the only person they can speak to is the card holder (me). So I call and ask why they cancelled her order and they couldn't even give me an answer! The guy say well we don't know... WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?! He continues to assist me and reorders the item, verifies all my information and says that it will be delivered by Thursday (it's Monday when I called) and NO later. He ordered it express and didn't charge me extra... gee thanks. So the next day I get another call from Bloomingdales but couldn't answer so a voicemail was left. The lady that left the callback # and reservation # spoke so fast I had to listen to the message 10 times before I could figure out all the digits AND even then when i used the reservation # she so kindly gave me, it kept saying it was incorrect and I they had to transfer me to an agent. After all this they verified my information again and the lady reassured me that the item would be delivered NO LATER then Thursday. Today is Friday and my mom still hasn't received the item. I called their customer service and the lady decided to sass me. I told her how unhappy I am that it still hasn't been delivered and she said she was happy it'll be delivered before the weekend. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm so fed up. Will do everything in my power to avoid ordering from Bloomingdales. In store customer service I've never had an issue with and actually prefer. Solely for handbag department. Very rude cashiers. They have this snooty I'm better than you attitude. Purchased a bag online and wanted to return (size was way too small). So I stood in line while waiting for a male cashier finish with another customer (from their conversation I can tell he's probably one of her frequent SA's.) She returned something and as they ended their transaction, cashier decided to walk her over to one of the designer sections cos something was on sale... while walking away from the register all the SA told me was "she can help you on that register." he didn't even bother saying sorry that I had to wait nor did he point me to the direction of the other register. He just hastily walked with the customer in front of me... Gee thanks... it wasn't even busy and he couldn't get someone else to help me? Okay... so then I walked to the other register where the cashier immediately said "I can't help you I'm in the middle of a transaction, he can help you over there" (pointing to where I came from WITH NO SA in sight). I told her "I just came from there he told me to go here." -- crickets -- homegirl didn't even bother to respond. So I asked "where is your customer service desk then?" And all she replied was "upstairs" and went back to staring at the computer. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!? Now I remember why I never shop here. read more

Three employees. There were three employees at the desk of Bloomingdales and not a single person offered to cashier me out. I was standing there for 5 minutes, listening to them gossiping about their lives... when one of these queens finally acknowledged me with a condescending "can I help you...?" Umm... yes? I've been standing here in front of you with an armful of things for the last 5 minutes! I checked their online store which said they had a bag in stock that I was unable to find. I went to Bloomingdale's to look for a dress for an upcoming event but the one I found was missing gemstones on the left hip. When I informed the associate of this, she told me that she would order me a brand new one that would be shipped to my house. Upon receiving the dress, I tried it on and noticed that the same gemstones were missing from the left hip again. Could this be a weird manufacturing defect? So I called Bloomingdale's customer service to see where my dress came from and they told me that it was shipped to me from the Glendale store. So they basically sent me the same damaged dress that I tried on at the store and...hoped I wouldn't notice? Sorry Bloomingdale's, your customers aren't as oblivious as you thought. read more

I had 3 orders that were supposed to be delivered on the same day but I didn't receive them. UPS employees had confirmed that they had delivered it but did they deliver to the correct address? Or did they deliver it to a different address thinking that it was the correct address Around our neighborhood there are cameras and police could have easily checked if I had received the orders or not. Because of a UPS employee's mistake, I have had to go through so much trouble to fix this issue. I have called Bloomingdale's many times throughout many days. Customer service is terrible. She told me there was no way she would return my item since it was half used and I told her I wouldn't want to exchange it aside from the fact it was defective. She scanned my return barcode and said "no you've had this too long you should have brought it back right away" to which I responded "I would have but there was nothing wrong with it until now." Wow I've never been this disappointed. I came to buy a high-end belt for my boyfriend as a graduation present with the idea that they would put it in a box with a ribbon (which is customary for a department store such as Bloomingdales). My mouth was left open when the cashier refused to do so saying that we do that for all items EXCEPT belts, which is a pathetic excuse . I ended up going to Nordstrom and the nice lady that was helping me was more than happy to wrap it and thought it was unusual that they refused to provide me with that service. Worst customer service :( my first time and I drove almost two hours to get there, I heard great reviews about the tom ford lipsticks , where I'm from we don't have a Bloomingdales and this locations was the nearest to me that sells the lipsticks. I asked the lady if she could help me choose a color that would go with my complexion, she told me " everything looks good on you because you are brunette" I started trying on colors on my own. instead of helping me choose a color the lady started trying on colors herself and took the mirror I was using , I wanted to try colors on but how could i, the lady was too busy holding the mirror and looking at herself and trying on colors at the same time it was all about her and what color looked good on her. Im not sure if employees are allowed to try colors on while "helping" a customer. Bad experience, I was all excited to buy my Tom ford lipsticks and drove long to get there.
