Pros: Staff friendly Great design selections Cons: - Only sizes up to 12 carried in store. Size 14 and 16 carried online only. - No mirrors in changing rooms (a salesperson said they do have one room with a mirror but you have to request it) - Lots of salespeople on the floor but only one clerk at the register - It feels like salespeople are trained to have lots of contact with customers so that means salespeople are constantly approaching you to tell you about sales, ask if you want a dressing room, ask if you need help (all great questions but just WAY too many times. I agree with some comments on here. I looove the styles Aritzia has to offer however, the fact that they don't have mirrors inside each dressing room is very strange. It's not comfortable to try on clothes and have to step out into the open common area where there are men and other people looking at you. Also, the old service was top notch. Worst Aritzia location I've ever been to. I'm standing in the store while typing this and I've been here for the last 40 mins. I'm walking around with items in my hands and not a single associate has even acknowledged me. The fitting rooms are reminiscent of a 1987 JCPenney basement with better lighting. The clothes on the racks have stains and the place is completely unorganized. As I finished typing this, an employee walked up to the mirror next to me and took a series of selfies. It is EXTREMELY invasive to have to come out of your dressing room to a lobby full of everyone's boyfriend and friends not knowing if the mini skirt you're trying on covers your cheeks. She also informed me that "ARITZIA" originated in Canada. Their first boutique opened in Vancouver in 1984 and in 1999 they went national. By November 2007, they opened a few locations in the USA and the rest is history! Today was my first day at any ARITZIA and I'm hooked. All the racks were neatly stacked and easy to sift through. Kelly was kind enough to take our clothes that were growing off our arms into the changing area while we continued to browse. The changing area reminded me of Goldie Hawn's closet in "Overboard!" Lots of mirrors and pleather sofas to relax on. The changing room was quite nice as well. If we needed a different size there was a friendly face to get it for us. The lovely Michelle checked us out and I have to mention Eric! Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the manager. Her name is Bella. (Americana Way) She was extremely rude, unprofessional, and openly disrespectful. Instead of helping with a simple exchange, she laughed, made fun of me, and threw away my merchandise that I was trying to exchange. Her behavior made me feel ashamed, humiliated, and extremely uncomfortable in front of others. No customer should ever be treated this way. This was not just bad customer service -- it was degrading and inappropriate. Someone in a management position should be setting an example, not mocking customers and treating them with hostility. Very rude workers. Literally snatched the clothes I was going to buy right out of hand. All of them kept saying low income people are around when I stepped out of dressing room to see that big mirror. notice how they don't hire women of color who don't pass the "paper bag test" ( or anyone with different body type) when I went to customer service they said they couldn't help me. I am coming on here as a concerned mother. As an avid Aritzia shopper since COVID. I have definitely earned my place to speak on this. I love Aritzia. I love what they are doing in terms of changing the market for in person shopping. HOWEVER, I believe that something happened recently where a lot of the new employees are not up to par with how some of the tenured associates are. Going into an Artizia about a year and a half ago felt like shopping luxury. Today, that statement doesn't feel so true. I went in this past holiday excited to take my daughter to Aritzia. No shame, but she's a size 4. Absolutely nothing wrong with being a size 4. HOWEVER, one of the MALE associates in the fitting room felt the need to tell my daughter that if she wants to be "snatched and skinny" like him, she "needs to starve herself" and start working out. I was incredibly appalled by this. So disturbed by the hyper male associate that we made our purchase and left. I had to have a very serious talk with my daughter about ED's. For reference, my daughter is absolutely gorgeous. The comments made however threw me and her off completely, and I'm so so upset at how quickly this associate was able to make her feel ashamed about her body. I really appreciate shopping at this location as it is not as chaotic as Century, not as dull as Topanga (since the staff change), and a good size in comparison to the Grove. I will keep shopping here, but I will 100% be avoiding this associate as I never thought my daughters spirits could be destroyed on a random Sunday. read more

For starters why don't you have any mirrors in your fitting rooms It's so uncomfortable coming out to a shared area and a bunch of men staring at you. I dread trying anything on because of this. I'm also genuinely curious to know if the staff works on commission? I've never in my life been bombarded by sales associates as much I do when shop here. It's truly very annoying to have every employee ask you every 5 mins if they can start a fitting room for you or if you need anything. Some of us like shopping in peace without pressure. I'm also very confused with your check out process. I'm seconds away from stepping out of my fitting room and the employee who first greeted me and started my room rushed over to grab my items and place them on the register. I wasn't even 100% sure on my purchase, you don't even give a customer time to process what they even want to try on or what they liked or didn't like. It's too much. I had such a great experience shopping here! While I was browsing with a few items in hand, an associate kindly offered to take them and start a fitting room for me. Later, when she passed by again, she offered to take more items and add them to my fitting room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What really impressed me was that she remembered my name even though the store was busy with so many other customers. She also suggested a maxi skirt and added it to my fitting room, saying it looked like the style I was shopping for and she was right! I ended up buying the one she recommended. She was so attentive and genuinely nice throughout my visit, which made my shopping experience one of the best I've ever had. What a cute store! I was shopping for my daughter's homecoming dress and ended up walking out with a few things. I loved the decor. I was a bit confused about how everything was laid out but managed to get to where they had some dresses. The dressing room is fabulous with comfy chairs although they started to look a bit worn. The prices were very reasonable and had some super cute pleated skirts too. I love that I only had to go to 2 stores to find something that my daughter liked. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They even noticed that we had takeout from Din Tai Fung down the street and were asking us what we ordered. My daughter loved the experience as well, which I appreciate. I started following them on Instagram and I am sure I will buy some more things in the future. read more

I LOVED Aritzia and have been shopping there for so many years prior to them opening in California. I'm originally from Toronto and would always stock up every time I visited until their San Jose location opened in 2014. What kept me coming back : their selection of denim and jackets but my last experience with the Glendale location turned me off. This location is literally a ZOO. The staff that works here are all young girls who give zero hecks about customer service. The girl that rung us up was nice though! This was my first time experiencing this store and I will never go back. I don't remember their employees from other locations being so unprofessional like here. Despite their consistent amazing denim selection, I wasn't very happy with what I discovered : On my last pair of Levi's jeans, there was two price tags. One was an Aritzia one and another was a Levi's one. They forgot to remove it but I did let them know and the customer service rep said they didn't do price matching. I just said, you guys jacked up the price of your jeans because you clearly forgot to rip off the other suggested price tag. Being a loyal Aritzia customer since I was in high school, I am well aware they do not price match. They gave me no time to explain my issue and just dismissed me. It's like going into Footlocker and seeing a pair of Nikes marked as $120.00 on the box by Nike and having the store's price be much higher. I love shopping at Aritzia. Typically the employees are polite but I'm not sure if it's because it was towards the end of the day - the employees were not very helpful and rude during my last visit. When I was browsing the store, some of the employees would congregate to chat, which I didn't mind. However there were some narrow spaces where they would be chatting, and when I tried to walk past them they would barely acknowledge me or attempt to make space until I would politely say excuse me. They paused their conversation before giving me a weird look and continuing this conversation. I received my order two days later than promised--and they sent a size M instead of XS. When I called them, they said it was a system glitch and told me to go pick up another dress, which was made of fabric that looked like a sack. I recently visited this Aritzia location for some business casual looks as I am going into the office for the first time in two years. 1. They have a really great selection of which one can mix and match easily with other pieces. 2. I like that the "Command" Pants fit perfectly on my 5'2 petite self. 3. JC exuded really outstanding customer service and provided me with options on how to style the pieces I chose for myself. I have this location and overall 3 bc upon checkout, an associate refused to provide me with another shopping bag despite the fact that I spent more than $300. My response to this was "I can get free all day parking for spending more than $250 at this store but I can't get an extra paper bag?" So I asked another associate, she was happily willing to provide me another gift bag but she interjected emphasizing that it was just one bag per transaction. I get all the sustainability rebuttal for this but I was to reuse the bag for something important. She was young, I get it, I had a high ego when I worked at American Apparel 10 years ago too. I was asking the girl at the register if my items can be returned because I ordered online and they have such a short/ strict return policy. And she said "well i need the items in order to start the return" with a smirk on her face. Obviously I know they need the item to be able to return it. When I got to the front of the line I was asked if I had anything that was being held by a salesperson. I told her that I just needed to make a return. She proceeded to tell me that they're not taking any returns because it's Black Friday. I asked since when? She stated "it's always been like that" with an attitude! Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience she was rude and condescending. I've frequented this location a few times, but never found anything I really wanted to try on until today. The stars are for the nice girl that started my fitting room for me - that's where the good experience ended. THERE'S NO MIRRORS IN THE FITTING ROOMS. Make it make sense! Actually I know why they do this - it's to force you out into the big shared space with the mirror so they can sell sell sell. Personally I found this humiliating. I was wearing a dress but trying on shorts so my only options were to keep my dress on and bunch it up at my waist and try to determine if the shorts looked good in this insane situation, or let the public see me in my bra. HARD PASS. If you remotely have any body image sensitivity avoid avoid avoid. The quality also isn't that great - it's more expensive than Zara but seems very cheaply made. It was also massively disorganized in the store with inconsistent size runs. All around not worth it. read more

The worst fitting room experience. They take your clothes from you and "organize" them on racks while you wait in line for a fitting room. This would be wonderful if only they didn't keep losing track of who's clothes belonged to whom. It was laughable to see them keep handing sets of clothes to the wrong woman. The design of the fitting room is horrid. There are several girls on the floor ushering you around. You get assigned a huge fitting room with NO MIRROR. In order to access a mirror you have to leave your purse and belongings behind in the fitting room, traverse the large open space to find a mirror that you have to jockey to get in front of. Territorial glares and bitchy hair flips ensue. If that wasn't enough, the second you leave your fitting room the employees are ON YOU. Hurling disingenuous complements about how "fabulous you look" before you have a moment to assess for yourself. That's a big hail no for me! read more
