I'm a fan of the Nordstrom Rack and T.J. Maxx stores but have fast become a frequent shopper of this Bloomingdale's Outlet. For starters, it's bright inside, well organized and nicely recovered, even on a busy weekend day. I love how friendly and helpful the staff is here too compared to other outlet retailers. I usually come in looking for something specific but then end up with some pleasant surprises and great deals I wasn't expecting as well. The dressing rooms are nice and spacious too. And who doesn't love walking out with a little (or big) brown bag? read more

Incredibly bright, well organized and pretty good prices on many designer items. There isn't a huge selection though and at least in my mind, the selection they do have isn't really cute. I mean, I don't think I have great style or anything but I couldn't find a single item that was my style while I was in. My style is dresses, leggings and boots nearly every day. I navigated both through the entire female clothing section and then also tried to sift through the clearance items. I didn't see a huge price difference in the usual clothing and clearance items. I spent a good amount of time in the store and couldn't find a single item I was interested in trying on which was pretty shocking to me. It ain't no Express (my usual store), let me tell you that! No one working there talked to me during my time there but I wasn't looking for anyone to help me either. Just didn't see anyone working aside from behind the cash register during my 30~45 minutes there. Overall, I'd pop in again next season to see if there's a turnover in merchandise but if I come up empty again, I'll probably skip ever coming back. read more

We stopped in here for 15 min or so after eating at Shaw's and before our train. It's a nicely put together store in a minimall (or strip mall?). My sister bought some earmuffs for a nice price. The staff was friendly and unintrusive. read more

The mens selection absolutely sucks. Limited in sizes. The sizes are either too big or too small. M/L never available for woman. & where's the "Real Designer" most of the clothing brands are similar to those at Macys or T.J.Maxx? This particular location is a bit messy, especially the fitting room. If you make a purchase, make sure the alarm tag are removed. The clerk was more concerned if the hundred dollar bills handed to her were real, & if my coupon was valid that we left the store with the alarm tags, because she did not check for the tags to remove them. We ended up having to drive back 20 min to get them removed. On a day we had an important event. My preferred location is Fashion outlet. read more

There are a lot of positive reviews for this Bloomngdales outlet, so maybe we just hit them on a bad day? On the positive side, the store is pretty well organized and doesn't feel "jumbly". The decor is really dated though - pink and purple everywhere. All they're missing is the unicorns and rainbows. The merchandise was really, really bad though - really bad. I'm talking racks of Jones New York and Ralph Lauren - why not throw some Liz Claiborne from the 90's in there too? for the more "fashion forward" (I guess...) they did have Affliction tops for women and sparkly Uggs. The "best" (by that I mean the worst) was the rack labeled "Straight from our Bloomingdales Store". Yeah, when that rack is full of INC filler crap I'm going to call shenanigans on you. I can't comment on the staff or service because we didn't really see any! Like I said, maybe we hit this store on a bad day as others seem to have found "good stuff". Not a fan of this location at all. The few times my mother and I have gone to this location we were being watched and followed the majority of the time we were shopping. Then also questioned about our transaction when checking out. Overall a very uncomfortable experience each of the few times we've been in. The fact that this has occurred every time we have been in since the first time we've gone is quite irritating. After the last time we went in, we will not be returning here again. I will now go out of my way to the other locations where I receive much better service. read more

When I walked in and saw that the Bloomingdale's Outlet Store has all of the brands that other outlets tend to be missing - Rebecca Minkoff, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, Theory - I first squealed, then grabbed a shopping bag and began to scour the store with purpose. My prize for the day was a pair of mid-calf, suede wedge boots by Juicy Couture - $130 from $325, heck yeah! I couldn't be happier, because I was drooling over these very same boots when I first saw them in the Juicy catalog. This outlet store just opened, and it's a nice addition to the Woodfield Village Green area - there's a Saks Off 5th and a Nordstrom Rack right next door. The Bloomingdale's Outlet has a huge women's section and a decent men's and children's section, but unfortunately, there are no Bloomingdale's Home Store items here... yet. I liked the brand selection for women's clothes. They have modern apparel in the front, with brands like French Connection, Michael by Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Theory, Juicy Couture and Joie. Towards the back, they have work-friendly brands like Tahari, Anne Klein and Jones New York. The winter boot selection was fantastic - whether you're looking for a new pair of Uggs, some cute rubber rain boots, knee-high riding boots, edgy motocycle boots, sexy over-the-knee boots or something in between, you can find it here. The handbag section was also impressive - they had so many Marc by Marc Jacobs bags, clutches and wallets! Same goes for Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Elliott Lucca and Michael Kors. Finally the accessories were a total hit, too - watches by Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, winter accessories by Ugg, massive sunglasses selection. And that's just what I remember off the top of my head. Overall, I think the Bloomie's Outlet is an all-out 'win' for women who follow brands and trends closely, really know what they want, and can thoroughly appreciate the deals they're getting on the merchandise here. Meh. I dunno. Perhaps I was having an "off" shopping day, but I was just none too bowled over by the Bloomie's outlet. Yes they have designer denim. And lots of trendy casual wear and costume jewelery.. These are the areas I was particularly impressed. I spied tons of cute brands like Joie, Seven for All Mankind, Vince, French Connection and the like. Prices were roughly 30-50% off retail, depending on the season. The rest of the store was where I felt "meh." I attempt to shop for a cocktail dress for an upcoming wedding and was nonplussed at best. Not only was the selection extremely limited in both size and scope, but the offerings weren't Bloomie's calibre. I didn't see much style in the dress section. Womp womp. As for the bags and the shoes, brands and style were on point but the prices were quite a bit higher than typical outlet stores. So, moral of the story...Bloomingdale's is worth a stop but may not have the depth of options and price points you're looking for. read more

Have been to the outlet twice.. Both times I found great deals.. Last trip two shirts that were both over $100 a piece.. I paid $36.84 for both.. Time before that $125 pucci style dress for $23. Both time I was greated when I walk in and left.. Also the salespeople at the check-out were very friendly. read more

Lovely! I was a bit taken back by the dressing room set up - they count how many items and give you a little plastic marker and then afterwards you show them the marker and the clothing to prove you haven't somehow stolen an item (heck, you are still in the store). This method probably reduces shop lifting, but doesn't fit Bloomingdales' image. Otherwise - the men's selection is decent and I bought a pair of jeans and a day or two later got an email coupon for a future visit. The men's section was well organized and everything looked folded and neat with no chaos at all. The people working there were reasonably helpful, though its an outlet and I can't really say that bloomingdales at 900 michigan avenue provide that much more service. Checkout was fast - even though this was the weekend before christmas, there was no line. My main request is a bloomingdale's home store section (or store)! read more

My go-to favorite clothing store. Period. They have a great selection at very affordable prices and for a wide range of occasions. Clothes fly off the shelves fast, I've found, so if you see something you must take it with you or else someone will grab it. Finding the right size is tricky too sometimes because there's a ton of XS and XXL clothes but not as many S, M, and L. Overall, I love it and often skip the infamous Woodfield Mall in order to just drop by here. read more

I don't know what it is, but I just can't get too into it here. I feel like it's a pretty small store compared to the other little outlets right in the area. I do think that they have a nice selection of handbags, however they are still quite expensive in my opinion. Not saying that you're not getting a "deal" but dang....it's still breaking my bank. They also get some nice shoes in, but I have yet to see a real deal I couldn't pass up. There is one item I am kicking myself for not buying and it was a peach (excuse me, burnt orange) colored Rebecca Minkoff bag that had a olive green leopard interior. I love this outlet! With a whole sea of outlet's nearby (Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, Sak's) it is hard to choose one but the Bloomingdale's outlet is my new favorite! Nordstrom Rack has always been my top pick in the past but it is always so busy in there-- on any given night there are at least 5-10 people waiting in line. That is not the case here though--- I don't know if it hasn't been discovered yet or what but there is never a line, there are always plenty of people walking around to help, and that is on top of all of the awesome merchandise they have. The store itself is also super organized. Everything is always in the right place and you don't have to go scavenging for things--- it is all out in the open and easy to see. They have so many cute cocktail dresses, shoes, boots, sunglasses, etc. I recently purchased my wedding shoes here about half off the original price. They have really nice fine jewelry section too--- gorgeous cocktail rings, etc. Their bag selection is a little limited compared to Nordstrom Rack but they have a decent Marc by Marc Jacobs section. read more

Of all the discount designer stores in this strip mall this is probably my least favorite. Not to say I don't like the store but the other stores like Saks and Nordstrom aren't as dated looking. When you walk in the door it's like entering a time machine and traveling back to the 90's. Fluorescent pink and purple walls fill the store. Joking aside there is some decent merchandise here, but you have to look pretty hard to score a really good deal. For me I've only scored one good find at a Bloomingdales outlet. Last winter I found some north face ski gloves for $45 that are normally $200. The jewelry selection is not that great here. I'm more specifically shopping for clothes but just an observation. Anyway, it's worth stopping in because you never know. read more

Great deals! Bloomingdales is a really high end department store. This is the outlet so don't go expecting some fancy place. I got a wildfox sweater for $65 normal price $108. Free people pants for $40 which are normally $68. Sam Edeleman sandals for $47 normally close to $100. Today they had a buy one get one half off the entire store til Monday! 3.5 stars. There is some good-looking merchandise here. I had heard good things from family and friends for about a year now, and this was my first visit. The handbag selection is very small (I heard it recently shrank), but the clothing more than makes up for it; it's about 75% women's with the rest split between men and kids. My problem was with the prices. As an ex-Bloomie's fanatic, I know the prices hover in the mid-hundreds to thousands, easily. An outlet-style store should have more competitive pricing. A lot of pieces were only 20-30$ off MSRP (roughly 10% off) and plain silly. One case that sticks out was a gorgeous pair of Vince pumps (Vince brand, not Camuto) which were originally $275, here for $252, and on Vince's OWN WEBSITE for $187. (I Google'd in-store. :-)) Long story short, we scored some nice sweaters which were an additional 50% off after the holidays. The rest of the store left something to be desired. If I wanted to pay $250 for a top, I'll go to an actual Bloomingdale's and buy this season's merchandise. read more

I have been able to find some really great deals here. As of yesterday, they were taking 40-50% off the clearance rack items. If you are lucky and can find your size, you can get some fancy designer jeans, regularly $100+ in the $30 - $40 range, which is what I normally pay for standard Levi's. I will preface this review by saying Bloomies is my favorite dept. store and I have been a loyal customer for many years. I also consider myself an expert deal shopper. I was thrilled when I heard about this outlet opening up 25 min from me! I attended the grand opening; similar to Bloomies Private Sale events, they had a DJ, refreshments, and gave everyone a surprise discount. I scored some good deals. I have been back a few times since and have yet to be disappointed. Just yesterday I scored a pair of $395 Hunter leather boots for $31! I also bought my uncle a $300 grey cashmere sweater for $36. There were some amazing deals to be had. Like any outlet, selection varies and luck is a huge factor. But that's a given. There are usually promotions that make the prices even more attractive ($ off, % off, future coupons with purchase, etc.). They carry the usual contemporary brands: J Brand, Vince, Theory, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, UGG and many others. Similar to competitor outlets, merchandise is a season or two old. I would visit if you're familiar with these brands and their price points and expect good deals in the range of 50% off or so with the occasional amazing deal. Their 30-day return policy is fair. The staff is friendly and the store is attractive, cleanly organized, and well kept - the best of the outlet lot IMO. I will definitely go back on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, this store alone has made this my favorite strip mall (the rack and off fifth are worth a visit if you're already there). read more

They had a better selection early after they opened this store. Like they had a rack of Armani Collezioni, Gucci, etc, women's clothing. Their clearance section isn't that great lately. Better men's selection than Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack has a better women's clothing/shoe selection though. read more

Fantastic! My eyes almost popped out of my head when I drove by and saw the bloomingdale's outlet sign gleaming in the moonlight! Woo Hoo! I have been with one of my girlfriends twice since they opened and both times the store was very nicely organized. I thought Off Fifth was hard to beat in terms of organization (for an outlet store) but I am impressed! The selections of brands and sizing for clothing was very nice. Tons of jackets and coats (lots of Tahari and Michael Kors) and am impressive sunglasses selection including YSL, Givenchy, Burberry, Gucci just to name a few. The shoe selection was also nice, but when I have been there it has been more plentiful in the larger or smaller sizes. I'm a size 7 and found very little that I liked in my size. It's an outlet and is to be understood... The only section I found to be a little disappointing was the handbag section. Just not much of a selection... I do look forward to checking back frequently to see what special prizes I will find! read more
