Recently visited for a friends bday outing. While here I had the mini crabcakes and a few drinks. The crabcakes were good. Ample fresh crabmeat in every bite. The sauce had a delightful kick to it. To wash it down I had a glass of Rose and the Nightswimming drink. Both drinks were good. Adequately boozy. The vibe of Bloom is very chill and intimate. The decor is a plush dark velvet. Service was good. I'd definitely visit again.

This dark and moody little spot off the lobby of my hotel was the perfect place to stop for my first cocktail in Baltimore and to enjoy a bevvy before heading out for dinner. The vibe here definitely gives 1970s, and the small, intimate space would be the perfect spot for a date night or ladies night. Since I was solo, I sat at the bar and ordered a delish Ocha Kudabai from their newly-released spring cocktail menu. I also had fun talking to the bartender, who was knowledgeable about literally ALL things Baltimore (and made a mean drink as well). Highly recommend not skipping this place if you're staying at (or near) Hotel Ulysses.

this is definitely a very cute spot to have for the girls night out. The live music was cool, the ambience is great and you can take really cute photos here. Unfortunately I only had one drink so I didn't really get to taste their whole menu, but I will say that they do sometimes require reservations for the actual seating. Not at the bar fortunately we were able to get seated because we just came as a random side quest.

The aesthetics alone are enough to give this place a visit. Whether it's date night or a night out with the girls, you have to give this place a try!

I recently checked out Bloom's after hearing great things from a fellow Yelp elite, and I had a fantastic time! The decor really stood out with its fun Vegas vibe. We arrived early, but finding street parking was a bit tricky; thankfully, we managed to make it work. Bloom's is tucked away inside The Ulysses Hotel in a cozy corner. The drinks were delicious, although they took a little while to arrive since the place was buzzing with activity. We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and the house-made potato chips--they were a nice snack in between our drinks. Our server was really polite and helpful with drink suggestions & my espresso martini was on point. Overall, Bloom's has such a relaxed atmosphere, and I can definitely see myself coming back for more.

Blooms is a cool spot off the beaten path in the Mount Vernon neighborhood. The old school vibe with pink low lighting sets a very cool tone for the space. The drinks are good a little pricy but worth having 1-2 for a night out.

Cool vibes, comfortable seats, and always a good time. The servers were kind and checked on us regularly. The drinks were amazing! The cocktail selection is interesting and presentation is beautiful. I will continue to take friends to this bar. It can be found inside of a hotel when you turn right and walk down the hall.

I've been to Bloom's so many times, I cannot believe I've never reviewed it! Bloom's and the Hotel Ulysses are some of my top places in Baltimore! The funky vibe makes this one of the most interesting cocktail bars. The couches and the mirrors are so retro and cool. The drinks do take a while to be made but the service is great and the drinks are always so unique here.

Very cute spot for drinks! There was also a live band when I visited. Service was good. Our server made some good recommendations, and even got us an off menu drink based on what we said we liked.

Blooms is a classy, dimly lit bar located inside Hotel Ulysses. I had gotten the Spring Fling cocktail ($16), which had lavender, honey, butterfly pea, lemon and vodka and sparkling wine. It was not overly sweet, but very light and refreshing. I also tried the Jamila ($14), which had a rose infused tequila, cucumber, lime, and honey. For me this cocktail resembled a floral margarita with a unique addition of cucumbers. Our server, Mason, was very kind. He constantly checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed and made sure that our water was always filled. Bloom's does also serve some light snacks like a cheese plate, shrimp cocktail, house made chips, marinated olives, and roasted almonds. Cocktails range from $14 to $18. There is limited street parking in the area as well.

This is Mom favorite nightcap for an espresso martini. The drinks are good. The customer service is good and parking is isn't hard to find

I visited Bloom's Cocktail Bar with two friends. The bar is nestled within the Ulysses Hotel in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. The ambiance immediately captivated us with its plush pink sofas, warm accent lighting, and a reflective wrap-around bar, it was giving 1920s cabaret glamour. The cocktail menu was both inventive and not too overwhelming. I ordered a smoky concoction with reposado tequila, and mezcal. Unfortunately I don't remember the name but balance of flavors was perfect. Pricing was in line with what you would anticipate at an upscale cocktail lounge. Bloom's was a great starting point for our night out in Mount Vernon, setting a sophisticated tone for the evening.I highly recommend blooms to anyone seeking a chic spot for expertly crafted cocktails in Baltimore.

Bloom Bar is such a vibe! The ambiance is sexy, stylish, and perfect for a night out. The drinks are strong, well-crafted, and absolutely worth it. What really stood out, though, was the staff--not only are they super cool, but their unique style and intricate tattoos sparked some great conversations. We even talked about the stories behind them and LGBTQ rights, which made the experience feel real and authentic. I love when a place creates space for people to be themselves--it adds so much to the energy. Can't wait to come back!

Is this place good for groups of 8 people?

Yes It is, as the couch in the lounge area is one continuous piece of furniture lining the back wall and the stool like chairs are opposite the couch. Your party would be able to fit comfortably and have nice conversation.

    Fine dining nearby?

The Helmand, The Prime Rib, Magdelena in the Hotel Ivy, or even Ash Bar, right across the hallway from Blooms

I'm not actually sure but the cocktails are good. I think the vibes when I went was off. Granted I did go on a weekday where it was pretty empty. They shift their menu a lot which I think is really nice for the community. The cocktails are on the pricier side they think they start around 14 or 16 which I think is a little too much for a local neighborhood bar.

The vibes are right and the bartenders were nice and chatty, the only reason this place isnt "my" place and doesn't get 5 stars is because they dont make a very good dirty martini and thats like base level. I asked for it extra dirty and I could barely taste the olive brine, I actually had to have him pour more in front of me lol. Also service was a little slow. So for grabbing a quick drink with the girls sure, but staying as a regular nah.

I met up with a friend here, with her husband and kids and my husband, and we had a great time. We didn't realize there would be live music, so it was a bit loud at first, but we got used to it. (The trumpet got a bit loud at times, but that's how such instruments can be!) My friend and I both got a cup of the crab chowder, which was tasty, if a bit weird-looking when the oil separated in it. I got a crab cake, and it didn't seem special compared to other crab cakes I've had, perhaps a bit dry too, but it was definitely fresh. I also went rogue and got a watermelon drink that was good enough where multiple would be dangerous! Everyone seemed to like their food, and my husband even tried clam strips and enjoyed them! I went an hour early before everyone else was supposed to be there to get on the waitlist, but the wait was until 10 pm!! So I quickly switched gears and called Benny's because I've heard great things about them. The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.
