Customer Service Still Exists Y'all!! I don't know about you but it seems that good ole customer service is almost a thing of the past . I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I needed to on this one. My gas fireplace hasn't worked in 2 years . I called the office to ask a question , Malaya (not sure if I'm spelling it right) answered and started trying to help troubleshoot the problem instead of just quickly making me an appointment. I was impressed that she cared enough and was making the time to try and help me! After trying several things, she realized it was going to need a technician to come out. I was overdue cleaning anyway. Chris came out and fixed the problem. He also showed me where some of the original install was done incorrectly from another company . That was also fixed and then he finished with a top to bottom cleaning! It felt good to have it fixed and working again! They both went above and beyond! They were so friendly, caring and nice and I appreciated it! There are still good people out there doing good things!! :) read more

Blossman gas fired me because I'm Puerto Rican. they are an all white and family owned company. Jacksonville office everyone is family. I want to take this Time to send prayers to the foley family. I was told by the company and lawyers not to reach out to see how he's doing. last year and the past years the company have 10,000 dollars in bonuses to all the employees. I was hurt in an accident and they told me not to go to the hospital. but they made sure I took a drug test. I hope the foley family gets all the money they deserve. Blossman has the worst trucks on the road. every single one had the engine replaced and breaks are not safe to be on the road. they are scared to talk to me and my lawyer who represents me told me to delete my post and do what Blossman ask. they want to take my voice away. if the foley family reads this I would love to talk to them. reach out because I'm not the guy you think I am. I was stuck in my truck and couldn't help you. but I did call 911 that's the best I could do at that time. I'm not a bad guy. that's why Blossman whanted to get rid of me because I told them these trucks are not safe. please reach out. read more

Very knowledgeable, helpful, quick efficient. I was looking to change companies and they were amazing ! Came out within 24 hrs for a whole set up in a short time where the other company it took them 4 appointments lack of communication. Kind , courteous, and understanding. We ran out of propane in our RV and couldn't find anyone to come out to us, or for us to go to, until we found Blossman. We broke camp and rode out to them (less than 10 miles from us) and they got us right in, filled up and on our way in less than 10 minutes. Great staff and friendly folks! Now we have hot water and a stove again! Yay! read more

We hired Blossman to connect our brand-new gas dryer at a home that we purchased last year. We had converted the home to gas upon moving in. Blossman hooked up the wrong parts to our dryer causing damage to the dryer and unsafe conditions for our family. However, upon hearing our concerns, they reached out personally, apologized, and paid for our new dryer and conversion kit. read more

I can't even imagine how this company is still in business. They have REPEATEDLY delivered poor customer service. Imagine having them install a propane tank for a new stove, fireplace logs, and an outdoor gas grill.....yet never delivering gas????? Ordering gas logs....they placed order wrong. Remote control for fireplace.....doesn't work. And now we have no gas. read more

I used Southern Propane for 3 years and finally fired them today. I should have done it 3 years ago. First, when we bought our house, Southern Propane's tank was already in our yard, so I figured it was easiest to continue the service with them. When I called to set up an account (on October 1), I was told that the previous owner of our home never paid his annual tank rental due in August so I needed to pay it. I explained that I didn't own the house in August, but long story short, they wouldn't fill the tank without getting current on the tank rental. I even asked if they would at least pro-rate the rental due based on the date I purchased the home or give me a full year for my rental fee, but they would not agree. Shame on me for not seeing that huge red flag then, but it was only $50, so I paid it. Second, we signed up for their refill program where they make sure to keep your tank full without having to call. TWICE in the last year, they have let our tank run completely dry and I only discovered it when I went to give my children a bath and could not get any hot water from our tankless water heater. Third, the most recent time they came to fill our tank, about 3 hours after the guy left, I opened my back door to a strong propane smell and a hissing noise. I saw that the valve on a riser was half open and propane was just flying up into the heavens at $3.79 a gallon. I called the office to report it and ask that I not be charged for the 12 pounds that had escaped during that time because I have to assume that it was their guy who opened the valve (I assume by mistake). All I got was a vague "I understand." Sure enough, I later received an invoice for the entire amount. Finally, today, Southern Propane's goon called to demand payment for the entire invoice and I said, "I'm glad you called, I actually have one of your competitors in my yard right now installing a new tank so you need to come get yours. There is still gas in the tank so once you see how much is in there, let me know the new balance." She said that the propane is non-refundanble. So even though they will take that tank and sell the propane to someone else for the full amount, I'm being asked to pay it. Also, she lied and said they have no record of our tank ever running dry. Also, she scolded me because she wasn't given 48 hours notice to remove the tank. Also, she still refused to reduce the invoice to reflect their own guy's mistake in wasting $45.48 worth of propane. Here's the thing: propane is propane, the market price is the market price, so really the only thing separating these companies is customer service. Given that, I can't understand why Southern Propane is still in business. read more

I've been a Blossman gas customer for over 14 years. I called to inquire as to why my tank rental fee increased from $22 to $159 during Covid 19. I was told my 'gas usage' warranted the increase. I was told the only way to decrease the fee was to 'use more gas'. By the way, they charge $3.00 a gallon which is double what competitors charge. In my opinion this is a poorly run company that doesn't care about their customers. In the future I will be looking to try and save energy by using less and less propane. My goal is to be free of Blossman in the future. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been a customer for nearly 2 years and have always scheduled a fill for my tank. About 6 months ago, we went on auto fill at their recommendation, and I was told they'd fill our tank every 3 months, meaning I would never run out. It's Saturday morning and I'm now out of gas, which means they haven't filled my tank recently and we have no hot water until Monday. The answering service was not helpful at all. I will be in touch with the owner about my complaints. Poor customer service as usual. read more

Awful company. Doubled propane tank rentals during COVID when people are already going through a very rough time. When we called them about it, they basically said "tough luck". Speaks a lot about a company that will take advantage of customers during a pandemic. read more

Terrible customer service. I called Blossman's and scheduled an appointment for an estimator to come out to switch my wood burning fireplace to gas. The office personnel scheduled an appointment for Carl to come out 2 days later at 11:00 a.m. Twenty minutes passed the appointment time, I called the office and was number 17 in queue. After holding a very long time, I explained the no-show appointment. I was told she would check right into and call me back immediately. Never heard from anyone!!! I find this company to be very shady with terrible customer service. I called to inquire about prices and time to deliver propane for our generator. I was quoted over $3 per gallon, plus a charge to test my tank. The delivery time was going to be at least a couple weeks - which was understandable given this was just after hurricane Irma. I told Blossman that I would call back if I did not find a better option. I called D&D who was able to come out the next day for much less. I never called Blossman back. A few weeks later, I received a bill from Blossman. When I called to inquire about it, I was told that they topped off my tank. I told the lady that I never ordered the gas - to which she curtly replied that I did. I asked if I was charged a tank inspection fee. She responded no because they called my normal supplier to confirm it did the pressure test. That was not true because I don't have a "normal" supplier as this was the first time I have filled up our tank in the four years we have lived here. After I questioned her about it, she finally looked in her computer and confirmed the only supplier information they had was listed as "competitor". I asked for a manager to call me back to work something out. Rather than a call back, Blossman just sent me another bill. I got the gas (at least I think I did) so I just paid the bill even though we are a military family who will be leaving soon and there is a very low probability we will use the gas. read more

We just moved into a new house, and had them inspect our old tank and fill it, then run a line to the kitchen for a new gas range. I specifically asked the worker if the old tank was okay to use and he said it was 100%. Just over a month later, our three year supply of gas is gone. Apparently the old tank was leaky. When i got a quote for renting a new tank, they included the price of a whole new bottle of propane. When i explained to them that i wasnt okay with paying for the new gas, because i already bought three years worth a month ago, and their workers had okayed the tank we had. They completely disregarded my opinion and told me they werent going to "argue" there is no way that they are going to comp out out gas. EVEN THOUGH it is their fault they filled a leaking tank that they inspected. They tried to tell me that they recommended a new tank, which they never did, and pretty much hung up on me. DO NOT USE THEM!!! They do super shady work, and do not care about customers!! read more
