On the day of the service we received a text that stated our technician's name and the that they were on their way. When our tech arrived he rang the doorbell, let me know he was here for service and got to work. When he completed the job he rang the doorbell again and let me know the different ways we could pay: invoice via email, check, CC, etc. All in all it was a quick and painless process.

When Ken received my service request for water filtration, he was visibly disturbed by what we were dealing with and personally came first thing in the morning to address the issue. Ken educated me that simple filtration was not enough, that by trying to filter something like this you actually just create a breeding ground for the parasite/bacteria. That can be seen in my washing machine filter that just acted like a catch bowl for them. He made it clear that I needed a complete treatment system to kill everything before being filtered. Ken assured me he could fix it and provide me with amazing water. He did not disappoint. My water is now so good you can drink from the shower or even the toilet tank. Taking a shower in it is like nothing I have ever experienced, the feeling is beyond description. You must feel it for yourself to understand, and to that point I tell everyone that comes over to take a shower because it is life-changing. Shampoo and conditioner are not even needed. As for drinking it, wow! Voss water is pond scum in comparison. You have not had bottled water this good! Even our ice cubes from our cheapo ice maker come out clear. This is truly a mind-blowing experience in a great way. Because the water is so clean our toilets, faucets and shower heads stay totally clean; no calcium, no redness, no toilet ring, ever! It cuts off after an ounce or two of water, despite being a very new pre/post filter. There are no obvious kinks or blocks in the incoming/outgoing lines for the water to the system and yet I cannot get more than a swallow or so of water. I was advised to replace the filters which I just did this morning. I was told at the store they occasionally have "bad" filters but they were unwilling to offer me a replacement either free or at a discount. After just replacing the filters, I discovered the same, poor water pressure from the Kinetico continues with it shutting off after a few seconds. I recontacted the store and asked about a service call when they are already on property (I live in a condominium that is serviced by CGC). They called back to inform me that there would be no discount on the service call and that they would "retrain" me on proper installation of the filters with no guarantee they could get the 7-year system to work properly. I am feeling rather frustrated that they choose to treat a long-term customer so poorly, particularly one who has referred several other homeowners to them in the past. I imagine that I will remove the system and choose a Sans water filtration system instead, unless I hear back from them.
