I'm not sure if management has changed , but our beloved Blossom local florist has lost its "neighborhood" feel. The Customer service for a recent wake/funeral was disappointing this review is not about the product, its about the people. I called and explained I needed to do a custom arrangement for a funeral. The woman who answered the phone didn't know what I meant by "custom" - and she was very rude and not one word of condolence for the loss. Unfortunately others I know, and I won't speak on their individual experiences, had similar experience and it was discussed at the wake to my surprise. Woodlawn is full of folks who want to support local businesses and part of that is the personal experience and attention you get from a "neighborhood" shop. Sadly, Blossom doesn't seem to care. They seem "corporate" now. I've ordered from them for over 15years, weddings, funerals, birthdays & other occasions and I had never had a negative experience. For me, you get 1 shot & they blew it. Ill be taking all my business elsewhere.... hopefully there will be kind, compassionate people behind the counter. It's a shame, in a world so full of divide and hate, the smallest kindness matters. After receiving a lovely pumpkin arrangement as a gift it died in two days. I had received it from my daughter in laws mother whom I had given the florist name a few years ago for she lives in NJ. I called Blossom to let them know about my disappointment with the arrangement. The staff could not have been more nicer nor accommodating. They insisted in sending another arrangement today. I have used this florist before and have recommended it to others with complete satisfaction. I will definitely continue to use and recommend Blossom Florist. Writing this review saddens me. I have been a consistent weekly customer for over 4 years at the Westchester location. However, that has come to an end after the service my boyfriend received in Yonkers. He entered the shop to buy a bouquet of flowers for my birthday. He was asked 1 question: "what's the occasion" and told yellow and pink carnations sitting next to the till area were a wonderful choice. They did not determine his needs or offer any choices to further his experience. He was profiled and sold filler flowers for $30. I am disgusted and disappointed by the treatment he received. read more

I bought a beautiful pink and lavender heart of roses for my grandmother's funeral and it was stunning. The price may seem a bit extravagant, but it was worth it. The display was full, and the flowers were fresh and beautifully arranged. Delivery was seamless and on time. I received so many compliments on my choice of flowers. I ordered from Blossom a plant arrangement for my mom. It didn't come. They told me supply chain issues. It will be delivered tomorrow. But they did charge my credit card. The next day, the same thing. And the next, and next and for 8 days this was the game they played. Then they told me that in order to get my plant delivered, they needed another $15. I am not confident that this company is legitimate, but I would be very careful unless you know the local florist. I now need my credit card company to reverse the payment, I will call the Better Business Bureau, and I advise you to stay away from this rip off establishment. And worse, my mom never got her anniversary card I wrote or the plants. Shame on you Blossom. read more

Stay away from this vendor! They charge your credit card but do not deliver flowers. They never sent the flowers that I ordered for my mother for Christmas. They never responded to the multiple emails and voice mails I left. I finally had to call the bank to dispute the credit card charge as fraudulent. read more

First time experience here was my boyfriend trying to surprise me with a bouquet that never showed up. Unfortunately it did not happen as his online order was "flagged as possible fraud" according to them though their site, even though his bank never flagged this purchase at all. They said they called - in which they did not ( he looked at his call log repeatedly) nor did he receive an email. It was a wonderful surprise but unfortunately ruined by the lack of communication from this place . The least they could of done was attempted to deliver and collect payment at delivery. I placed an order for flowers on Friday for a funeral service at 10:00am the next Monday. I told the lady ordering 3 times need to be delivered by 10:00am. Monday i received and email at 1:15pm that they were delivered. When i reached out as to why they weren't delivered on time they stated delivery doesn't start until 11am. I spent over $85 on the order and they said could only refund $5. Not a way to do business and lack of communication is absurd. No one mentioned delivery didn't start until 11am when they clearly knew had to be there by 10am read more

We recently used them for a funeral service and the arrangement was delivered to the funeral home but the family members never received it. We can only assume there was a mix up at the funeral home. I was simply looking for some accountability on the funeral home's part as I paid for a beautiful arrangement that had gone missing there. They do not communicate with you at all and the flowers were not delivered in time for the funeral even though they had a week to prepare. You call no one has a clue what is going on. I am writing a new review. I had a conversation with the manager after they saw my review. They did everything they could to try and fix the problem. They sent out a new arrangement which again was absolutely beautiful. Very happy to say the flowers lasted much longer and retained their fresh look for over a week and a half. Got married on May 8 of this year, decided to get this flower shop for my wedding because of good yelp reviews. Carly has been nice throughout the process considering me and my husband dont know much about flowers. We showed pictures of what we wanted, and she assured us that what we showed her was what "exactly" we're gonna expect on our day. On the morning of my wedding, my brother picked up my bouquet and good thing I told him to take a picture of it before he left the shop. The bouquet had ivory white ribbon on it and the only ribbon that they had that was "close" to what i showed before was the 2nd picture. Didnt want to stress about it so I said thats fine. Ceremony done, when Me and my husband got to the reception area everything was what I expected except for my centerpieces When I showed her the 3rd picture, I said I want it look full like the picture. No roses or anything just green and baby's breath. She gave us the price and assured us again that it would kinda look like the picture, so we said okay. The 4th picture was what they gave us, just a sad looking centerpiece. Looked like a child just randomly picked branches outside and put it on the tables. Payed for 9 of it but just saw 8. Was contemplating on posting the review, but I just have to post it for fellow customers like me who rely on reviews and actual photos of their products. read more

I ordered a peace lily plant for a funeral service for Saturday last week. I was just informed today, it was not delivered. It was supposed to be delivered to a Church, they said the Church was closed? Which is not true if they went when the service time was. They then apparently tried 3 more times to deliver to the Church (which I do not know why.. why wouldn't you contact me as soon as there was a problem with delivery the day of in the first place?) The family would obviously not be at the Church days after the service.. So I was informed today I owe them 3 X $11 (so $33) for their additional delivery attempts, when the plant was NEVER successfully delivered!!! & no one contacted me. I will not be using this florist ever again, no accountability whatsoever. read more

So when their anniversary came I chose to use it and their services again. They have a large selection to choose from. The ordering process was quick & easy and my Aunt & Uncle received not only a beautiful bouquet but due to the fall season Blossoms' personnel helped me select mums which will last probably a month right thru Thanksgiving & I presume they can even be planted!
