I recently used Blossom for a funeral arrangement because it was the shop recommended by the funeral parlor. The arrangement was nice enough, but I don't think it measured up to the cost (ours, because it came from a group of us, was one of the biggest pieces there). The arrangements done by other florists were much fuller and fresher looking. I wasn't embarrassed by the piece -- just not "wowed". I give an average rating, because that's what I felt it deserved, especially when compared to what other florists turned out for the same funeral. read more

I have nothing good to say about Blossom. On August 1, I ordered an arrangement of two dozen yellow roses to be delivered to my friend in Edgewater for her birthday. (I live in NYC, so just picked the shop out of a Google search.) I knew she was away on the actual day, so I asked that they be delivered the following day. The photo I ordered from showed 2 dozen bright yellow roses and, before delivery, the cost was $124.99. I gave my phone number and hers and got updates via email for the delivery. Unfortunately, the delivery person did not call my friend to say flowers were being delivered and just left them on her porch in the scorching sun. As it turned out, she wasn't home for a number of hours and when she got there, the flowers (which were NOT all bright yellow but rather two tones of yellow...not to my liking) were completely burned. I called Blossom the next day and they asked me to send photos, which I did. I did not hear back...called two more times and was told by a service person that (a) it was being reviewed and (b) the manager would get RIGHT back to me. Neither happened. I called again today -- it is now August 27 -- and was left on hold for a long time again. When the service person finally came back -- not the manager, mind you -- he told me the flowers were left there because of their policy of contactless delivery. As I pointed out, making a phone call to tell a recipient that flowers are being delivered does not require any contact. He then offered me a $15 dollar credit for my $125 purchase and I told him that was fine, but that I'd be writing this review. I am all for supporting local businesses in this tough time -- I really am -- but had they responded to me right away, given an apology, even offered one dozen instead of two as replacement, I would have considered it a done deal. Ordered flowers for funeral services over the phone after forgetting about the time difference between California and New York. An exquisite arrangement was delivered within the hour. Not sure who helped me, but she could not have been nicer, immediately knew about the arrangements and told me they probably would not be able to be delivered until the "break" during the wake. After reading good reviews on the internet about this flower shop I decided to order my girlfriend roses for Valentines Day here. I go into the shop almost 2 weeks before Valentines day and special ordered 1 dozen Coral colored long stem roses, paid $125 and told them I would be in to pick them up myself at 3PM on Valentines day. I go back to the shop on Valentines day to pick then up and they couldn't find them..the girl was looking in every cooler, she went downstairs and still couldn't find them..then she tells me that they were being brought up now..I waited for about 30 minutes..during that time I was given like 3 different excuses why they weren't ready..after about 40 minutes the lady comes up with these small roses that weren't even the color I ordered..she gave me a free balloon for the hassle..big deal! I was really pissed off, they weren't long stem, nor were they the color I ordered..I will not be using this shop again. UPDATE: After complaining to my girlfriend when I got home, she took it upon herself to call the flower shop and explain the situation. Blossom Flower Shop eventually made things right by replacing the flowers with a new order of a dozen roses in the color of my choice which they delivered. read more

I have never written a review on Yelp before, but I was so bothered by what I saw that I had to speak my mind. I was a long time customer and have always been more than happy with the results. Product-wise they do phenomenal work, I have never seen more beautiful pieces/arrangements. The staff on the other hand is a different story, one person in particular. I came into the store twice in the past couple of weeks (the second of which will be my last time) , and on both occasions what I witnessed sickened me. The first time upon walking in I was greeted by a young man sweeping the floor and were exchanging pleasantries when a young girl named Sandra, whom I have dealt with on many occasions and I believe is one of the managers, came rushing over and rudely interrupted the young man as he was speaking to me. The way she did it and the look on her face pretty much said how dare you speak to a customer. I felt horrible for this man as you could see the embarrassment written all over his face. I thought that was extremely rude and unprofessional. The second time, sadly enough, the same young man was putting flowers into one of the show cases. He asked the girl Sandra a question and she responded with heavy sarcasm and proceeded to talk down to him. She finished it off by laughing at him. Absolutely despicable. Just a few seconds after that she must have realized I was standing there and her entire attitude and demeanor changed as she pretended to be nice and sweet to me the customer. One time may be a bad day, but two occurrences in a row shows she obviously does not treat her employees very well and has little to no respect for those working under her. For a family run operation I did not get the feeling of any kindness or sincerity there. Luckily plants only absorb water and not the ugliness that I have witnessed, otherwise the arrangements might not look as well as they do! read more

I use the Blossom on Mamaronek Avenue in White Plains regularly. The ladies there do an excellent job: flowers are always where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there and the reactions to them are always positive. I also buy arrangements from them and those are also great. It is the only flower shop I use, and I am both a shopper and not easily pleased. read more

My wife and I ordered our wedding flowers from here. The delivery of my wife's bouquet was due at 1.30 in order for her to have photos taken with it before the ceremony and with her gown. My boutaineres were also due at this time as were the flowers for the church to be delivered directly after on the same street. None of this happened. At 2.00pm I got a call from one of the bridesmaids to say that the flowers hadn't arrived. The wedding was at 3.00 pm. I immediately called Blossom Flowers I explained the situation and the lady checked with her colleague and checked the order book and their response was "we thought it was due tomorrow" "I'm sorry". "We will get it there as soon as possible". This is not something you want to hear on your wedding day. For me I really didn't care if the boutaineres or the church flowers never arrived but I was really aggravated that my wife's bouquet didn't arrive. It's the most important day of her life and she wanted to have nice photos with her flowers and everything to go well. At 2.30pm I called them back and they said "actually the delivery driver got in an accident", we are sending an other driver. It seems to me that this change of story was a bit ridiculous because thirty minutes before this, they had said they thought booking wasn't until tomorrow now the delivery driver got in an accident. So I wasn't sure what to believe. The flowers arrived at 3.15pm while the wedding was due to start at 3.00pm. We held up the ceremony to wait for the flowers. The biggest issues for me was they never emailed or called or made any contact afterwards to offer and apology or even a small compensation for the huge error on their part.
