This park is perfect size. Not too big and not too small. Parking is not ideal and it can get a little busy on the weekends but overall it's a cute place for a picnic.

I went to check in here last week and couldn't find it. ??? I forgot until this week when I went to search for it again. I looked at myself on the Yelp map- it placed me on that big patch of park green, so how am I still off the grid? How am I the first Yelper to review this super popular, really fun park? Strange, right? Regardless, for those Yelp folks who didn't know it existed, here's what you need to know: According to the Town of Los Gatos' website, "Blossom Hill Park is located between Shannon Road and Blossom Hill Road east of Blossom Hill School. A fully developed neighborhood park with six lighted tennis courts, a baseball field, playground area and picnic tables, B-B-Q pits, restroom facilities and large lawn areas." Also according to Los Gatos, all park hours are 8:00a until one hour after sunset. The lighted tennis courts might have expanded hours. I'm not sure if the baseball field is lighted as well. I'm also unsure if you'll need to make reservations for either. What I do I know is the large lawn by the Shannon Rd. entrance is used for youth (6 and under) soccer. This field is conveniently located near the playground if your soccer player has a sibling or friend or needs to unwind afterward. The parking lot at this entrance is small and fills quickly. You cannot park on Shannon Rd. during permit parking hours and so you'll need to park on one of the side streets. ***A special note to the folks, including myself, who do this: These side street residents have been kind enough not to lobby for permit parking, at our convenience. To show our appreciation and mutual courtesy, please do not block their driveways or let passengers (even those sneaky little toddlers) leave trash behind. Let's not spoil this arrangement for everyone, guys. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the park.***

Cute park. Plenty of green grass. Nice size playground. Playground is in the sun not shaded. But nice clean park.

Best park in Los Gatos ... and on this planet; greenest grass, awesome place to picnic, or watch a little league ball game!

I have come here countless times over the years. It's one of my favorite spots. It's peaceful, not…read moreoverly crowded, and has a really calming, almost zen feel to it. The views of the water and surrounding hills make it a great place to reset for a bit. Perfect for a quiet walk, light hike, or just getting away from the noise for a while.

Who Gives a Dam?…read more Man-made reservoir in the Santa Cruz Mountains that spans a solid 338-acres and is the third-largest in Santa Clara County. It is situated inside a ±950-acre County Park that has a variety of activities for all manner of outdoor lovers. The Good: *The southerly "beginning" to the Los Gatos Creek Trail which runs for ±10miles to the north. *Rowing, paddling, and fishing are all allowed (after proper inspections and licensing ofc) *Picnic tables near the reservoir *Limekiln trail was mostly shaded, which is good because this are can get very warm in the summer. *Park trails connect to Sierra Azul OSP and St Joseph's Hill OSP *Mountain bikes (NOT electric!) are OK *Leashed dogs are permitted. *Fairly decent cell phone signal (at least where we were) The Meh: *Parking is $6 if you park inside the lot, but free if you use the "street" parking (pay attention to signs!) or small dirt lots near the trailheads. *In regards to the parking, you don't need to park in the lot unless you're going to use/visit the reservoir itself. Otherwise, just find where your trail is and park there. *No swimming The Ugly: *We did the Limekiln Trail and that was a little rough-&-ready in some areas, as the years of water damage and infrequent maintenance are starting to take their toll.
