This park is awesome if you are a jogger that likes to run/walk around the loop over and over again, like me and just because :) I found the best exercise that works for me since the pandemic hit is walking. Walking is the most under rated exercise ever yet, all you need is your sneakers and trousers, and apple watch/fitbit to count your steps. This park is huge compared to the one that close to my house. Also, if you walk around the loop you would see a bridge and will connect to the other park across the highway. My kids were elated to find another park across the highway since the park in the original Kevin Moran Park was quite small for them. The whole experience was nice, we found two share and give book drawers, where people put books inside and free for public to take. Parking is on the street, but since this park is a neighborhood park, there's always parking spots available. read more

Nice park to do a walk around, connects over the freeway to a larger park as well. Huge grass area for your pups as well.

This was a nice park to visit. It was behind our dentist and we decided to try it out. The field park is very large and spacious. There are two playgrounds, one for the young kids and another for the older children. There are swings near by the playgrounds too. It was peaceful and quiet. In the fields they play soccer practice and looks like other youth activities here. There is a neighborhood garden there hidden there with equipment for adults to work out on. Folks were picnicing there and the park is behind what looks other schools. I felt safe here and the kids enjoyed running around, picking up pineconez, smelling the nice fresh air. I would recommend this park. There is street parking from what I remember as a fyi. read more

Medium sized local park next to the highway with a good variety of things to do - play structure, tennis courts, basketball courts, paved loop for walking/rollerblading/running, big grassy field in the middle, lots of trees for shade and picnicking, and even has a little library (free books to borrow) with a lovely reading garden. Clean park in the heart of Saratoga. We went on a Saturday morning with our golden retriever, and there were tons of other dogs. This is a very dog-friendly park - poop bags and dog water fountain available. There's plenty of space to play soccer, a tennis court, and a half basketball court. The park has a path to an overpass that brings you to yet another smaller park that also has a tennis court and a small jungle gym. Both have a small, community library where you can freely borrow and lend books. Bonus - 2 parks in 1! read more

Oh, this does have an entry. Okay. It's a good park. Next . . . Okay, maybe I should write more. Kevin Moran Park is a distance from nearly everything: the freeway, the store, the school, even Starbucks. It's a neighborhood park. This means that it's a quiet place to go. Has a good play area for kids. Large lawn area. Paved walkways to jog on. No parking lot. So how did I end up here? The city of Saratoga had a big Independence Day event here. I thought it would be good, it turned out to be impressive and moving. A lot of people came out. Which tell me that, though hidden, it's well liked by the population of Saratoga. Also lots of kids enjoying themselves on the playset. Kevin Moran Park is good for a picnic, a small jog or power walk, letting the kids burn off that sugar, or taking a long, long nap. read more

Part of me doesn't want to share about this park because it is truly a hidden gem (or is it? There were quite a few people at this park when I was there) but I must give it 5 stars. Of all the public parks in this area, this one is absolutely breathtaking. The main grass area is surrounded by these tall, beautiful trees that made me want to plop down and read a book. I don't care how many dogs pee on the grass, I just want to be surrounded by trees! Oh did I mention there's a tennis court here? Yeah that's right. There's only one, which is both amazing and kind of a bummer. Amazing because they fit one tennis court here but a bummer because you have to wait your turn if someone's at the court. This park is so amazing! I came here for a tea party picnic and was so happy I chose this park for the occasion. It is very spacious, there's a basketball court, a tennis court, a playground, bathrooms and plenty of parking. There isn't a parking lot that I saw but there's neighborhood street parking. The park's peaceful and serene because it's nestled in a suburb. There are tall trees, picnic tables, and picturesque green grass. I didn't think the grass would look as perfect in person as it did in photos but I was wrong. I saw a lot of people walk their dogs here, skateboard, bike, toss a frisbee (because there's plenty of room) and picnic. It's a great family-friendly park. I definitely plan on coming back to this park again. It is very clean as well. read more

This is such a big, beautiful park with sprawling lawns and redwood trees. The playground is shaded and set back from the street. Not only can you come here to play tennis, they also have 2 bocce ball courts. There is a path around the park if you want to get your steps in. Great neighborhood park located in Saratoga. Beautiful tree line surround the park. Around the large grass area has a paved path that is about 400m long. Grass is very well maintained, plenty of shade. There is two play structure surrounded by sand. It has plenty of shade since it is surrounded pine tree. Sand has debris due to nearby trees. Park does has a restroom which is nice. Street parking only. I gave -1 star due too location of park. It's located right next to hwy 85, yeah, it gets pretty noisy. read more

Very cute park. Felt very safe to picnic there. Barely anyone on a nice day and the grass is very well kept.

I grew up a short bike ride away from Scully park and went to nearby Blue Hills Elementary. When highway 85 was built, it split the park into KMP on one side and Azule Park, abutting the school, on the other. Now there is a walkway over 85 connecting them. Both sides have had a great remodel since then. This park has always had the circular path and play areas, but I don't remember tennis or basketball (half) courts or a meditation garden. So of course there's a bit of nostalgia for me, but this great park has a bit of everything: picnic, sports, grassy field, running and bike path (great for little learners), and even a meditation area. But I'll always remember it as the place where I had to jump on my bike and leave when the sun went down! read more

This is my favorite park around us! There are many things to like about this park. First, the playground area. It's never crowded. Not many people know about this park so there are never more than 5 kids on the playground. You can absolutely see your kids playing and not have to worry about not seeing them go up and down the slides. Second, bathrooms were added not too long ago. Huge plus with kids! The walking path circles the park and it's a great spot to teach your kids how to ride their bikes or scooters. If they fall or lose control of their bikes, they run into the grass so they don't get hurt. The grass is nice too. It's a well kept grassy field. This is probably because the grass isn't used as much like John D. Morgan. Definitely worth the drive to get to this quaint neighborhood park. read more

Not the most convenient park to visit when I head over from my neck of the woods, but a nice place to spend the afternoon nonetheless! My husband and I brought our EXTREMELY shy dog here for a canine cancer awareness event this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the scale of the to-do was smaller than I anticipated - perfect for doggy socializing! We really only explored a limited space compared to the larger scale of things but from what I saw, it looked like a well-kept park with friendly folks and an inviting atmosphere; trees and shady areas abound! It seemed as though parking was somewhat limited as the park is tucked into a residential neighborhood but if you can find a spot on the surrounding streets, you're as good as gold. Kevin Moran will probably not be my park of choice given its location in proximity to my apartment, but I will definitely make a stop there when I'm in the area. read more

So the one thing that I've found lately is that nostalgia definitely boosts any review by a star. I've been coming to Kevin Moran Park, aka Scully Park, for the better part of 20 years. Back when I when to the nearby elementary school and even when they were first constructing highway 85, and when the playground was still made of tree trunks and painted green from the 70s. Yeah, it's been that long. All in all, it's a great place to bring the family; there's a playground, wide open spaces, away from a lot of traffic, and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. KMP is one of the key reasons we bought and moved into this neighborhood. Recently modeled (~2009?) to open up even more grass and open space. Very nice neighborhood park. Great place to practice tai chi when the grass isn't too wet. Perfect for morning or evening walks (esp if you have puppies / dogs), esp. when combined with the excursion to Azule Park across 85. Kevin Moran is a well kept park, with lovely green space and nice smooth paved pathways for my kids to practice with their balance bikes. This is a little hidden gem right off of 85 and Prospect, and is a great option for families with young children. Perfect for a picnic lunch, we brought our blankets, parked under some shade, and the kids played with twigs and branches and took advantage of the nearby play structure. Bathrooms are also close (no bathrooms on the Azule park side) and clean. What a plus! A few people let their dogs off leash while we were there, and the two dogs were having the best time running on the field enjoying the sun and breeze. We will be returning to this park! read more

I used to come here almost every other day during summer of 2001 with the homies. It was always at night and there was always a bleez and a 12 pack present. Many memories on the park benches getting blized and speaking on the ironies and intricacies of life. I was 20 back then. I miss those simpler times when we didn't need to be on the guest list of some new club in order to get a drink in with friends. This is the best regular park in saratoga hands down. The field is massive, perfect for dogs. Since its located in a expensive neighborhood, it's always safe. The playstructures are some of the best according to my son and it's always a thrill crossing over highway 85 on a bridge. Definately a great place to unwind. read more

Fairly nice park with a little zen garden in front of it. There are many large trees covering some of the benches that offer ample shade in sunny weather. Sometimes people do Tai Chi in the area. Lots of grass for your dog to play in. read more

There also is a jogging track going around the field. There is a playground by the track that is fun for young children.
