Just visited this Tea House for Sunday brunch with a couple friends. I had the Ginger Turmeric Tea which was really good. We ordered the mixed pancakes as a shareable and it was really good. I ordered the small savory crepe with spicy chicken, pork, mushrooms, onions, asparagus and a mushroom sauce. I thought it was great and the right size. One of my friends ordered the Create Your Own Breakfast with two eggs, sweet crepe, one got bacon and the other ordered hash browns. The amount of bacon and hash browns was ridiculously large. Crepes Tea House is definitely a unique spot. Open early morning through late night, serving a variety of breakfast dishes, sweet treats, high quality teas, and even Eastern European specialities. The crepe could've used more chocolate, but all of the fresh fruit in both the crepe and fondue was good. We liked the choices of dips for the fondue and went with the condensed milk for a change. The only odd part of our experience was our server. My mom asked for milk with her tea, and when she received it, she realized after he had already walked away that it was froth, and she just wanted regular milk. He disappeared for a while, and when we were finally able to get him again, she specified that she wanted regular milk, when he seemed to find odd but said he would get it. We again waited for a long time, and my mom decided to try and deal with the frothed, but it wasn't stirring into the milk right and was settling on top. When we came back to check in eventually, my mom said nicely that he hadn't brought the milk, to which he literally booked it and ran away. Before we knew it, a new guy came over to our table and said he would be our server now and brought the milk she wanted. It was so odd and we didn't understand what happened. This place is off the charts amazing. Their attention to detail is rarely found anymore. The London fog tea is sprinkled with lavender and a dried orange slice. Every detail you could want, real syrup, frothy coffees and tea, fresh ingredients, fresh sauces, I'm telling you their extensive menu has something for everyone. If you're looking for a cheap diner, this isn't the place. But if you're looking for a wow meal, where your stomach smiles with every bite, then this is definitely the place! We randomly visited this place on May 6 after a trip to Calabrese Farms (on the same road). Cute on the outside & inside, appreciate the vibe. The menu's a little overwhelming, but our server answered questions so we could narrow down. We got one savory item and one sweet item. The savory item was the Khachapuri, which was delicious. I would love it with some pickled red onions, or a drizzle of spicy honey to offset the other flavors, but I'd still order it again w/o those things. For our sweet item, we got one of the crêpes, filled with bananas, strawberries, and Nutella. The service at Crepes has been poor the last 3 times I was there. There was a long wait for someone to acknowledge us and it was not busy. Just an acknowledgement goes a long way when you're waiting. Next the wait for someone to place order was a long time, over 15 minutes before someone came over to ask us what to drink. The couple next to us were extremely mad that their wait time was also long and their order was wrong with no resolve. My son just went there today with his girlfriend and he had the same experience where they simply asked for water 3 times and no one brought them drinks before food, during or after. They were finally given water to go after paying!!! To top it off they got the order wrong. It was a big vs small but this has been par for the coarse. Have been wanting to drive up for a while as our Ma friends recommended this place. Sadly, we were disappointed. Service was slow. The omelet lacked flavor and the ham in it was cut so large, they looked like dinner sized pieces. Why not diced? Southwick is a literal food desert , normally if you want anything decent to eat, you usually have to either head down to Connecticut or go up to Northampton or Amherst. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find the Crepes Tea House on a recent visit to the area. Many varieties of teas, crepes, pancakes, salads, breakfasts, brunches and some dinner options too. Their menu is quite extensive so you can be sure that there is something for everyone. I was actually in the mood for potato latkes but the closest thing they had were either hash browns or these potato pancakes, I figured I'd try out the potato pancakes and had some sautéed mushrooms, spinach, and bacon with poached eggs on top. I didn't like the bacon, you could taste that they were using a cheap, store bought variety. The eggs and potato pancakes and my sautéed mushrooms and spinach were fine with my only complaint being that they use way too much oil in their cooking. Portions were very generous and the spiced chai tea I ordered hit the spot. I visit Southwick now and again so I imagine, I'll come here again. read more

I honestly just had the most delicious crepe of my life at this place yesterday. I decided to add strawberries, raspberries, and peaches to my crepe. That was the best decision I ever made. How? How is all of the fruit fresh inside of it? How does it taste like you picked it right off the plant/tree? The country potatoes were also delicious. This place was terrific. The fun menu, the pleasant staff, the gorgeous outdoor dining pavilion, the scrumptious food, and the amazing tea menu really impressed us. You have a whole lot of variety in your food choices, so if for whatever reason the thought of having a crepe in a crepe restaurant doesn't appeal to you, you can scarf down on American or Russian breakfast foods (Chiburekki or Khachapuri anyone?), comfort food entrees like stuffed peppers, soups and salads. But look, if I'm going to a Crepe and Tea House, you can bet the mortgage I'm gonna have a crepe and a cup of tea. Now ordering a crepe will make you think about things, because they have a boatload of crepes to choose from in sweet and savory categories. The sweet ones include fillings like honey, chocolate, Nutella, jams, peanut butter, and fruit. The savory side of the menu include protein choices like Beef, Pork, Tuna, Spicy Chicken, Chicken Breast, Turkey, Ham, Salmon, White Fish, and Shrimp offered with a choice of vegetables like Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Green Beans, Cucumbers, Asparagus, Broccoli, Romaine Lettuce, Celery, Carrots, Black Olives, Spinach, and Avocado. You can add a sauce, like White Mushroom, Red Mushroom, White Garlic, Spring Veggie, Rich Nut, or House Hot Sauce. And if that's not enough choices to drive you bananas, you can add Fresh Mushrooms, and Cheddar, Swiss, or Mozzarella Cheese. My wife went with a small Sweet crepe with farm cheese and Nutella, served with two dollops of whipped cream and chocolate sauce ($6). Every last milligram of her plate disappeared. I went with a small savory crepe of spicy chicken with onions, peppers, asparagus, and broccoli with the red mushroom sauce. It was delicious, and I loved the fact that the spicy chicken was indeed spicy! The crepe was light and airy and the fillings were super generously portioned with great flavor. As for the tea menu, it was interesting picking one from their over 100 options. The teas are divided into categories of Black, White, Green, Oolong, Red, Chai, or Herbal. I went with a cup of Pineapple Green Tea served with honey for $3.60. It was very enjoyable. It was very good but it came with an unusual few slices of cucumber and a piece of rye bread I ordered hash browns and they were so greasy and soggy, they could not be eaten. I think if cooked properly they would have been pretty good. The service was good. I asked a few questions about the menu and the responses didn't answer my questions. I had two nice experiences while visiting from Miami for the holidays at Crepes Tea House. As someone with an Eastern European background, I think it's great to see a restaurant that has some variety of food from different cultures in a small town like Southwick. My first visit I had the breakfast crepe with turkey, egg and vegetables with a coconut vanilla tea. Today, I had two eggs with toast and both were great. The portions are very large - so the prices seem validated for the crepes. I was a little disappointed I wasn't able to order my usual "London Fog" (earl grey with steamed milk). I ended up getting it somewhere else later in the day, but it wasn't an issue since there were plenty of other options to try on their menu. Overall, come check it out! If you are looking for something more than a traditional breakfast & brunch, this beautiful little tea house has so much more to offer. We are truly impressed by hundreds of tea selection. What we ordered: Bao Zhong oolong tea ($4.80/cup) Victorian Afternoon tea ($3.60/cup) Savory crepe with shrimp and red mushroom sauce ($12.10/small) Borsch ($7.75/small) The oolong tea was smooth and flavorful, which was perfect for a slow weekend afternoon. Victorian Afternoon was quite strong with a unique taste. The proportion is large and you will be fed well and probably need a box to go. The food was really tasty and unlike many breakfast & brunch places, not greasy at all. The crepe was so perfectly done and packed with vegetables. The flavor and smell of the borsch are very complex and went perfectly with the sour cream. This location is unique to another with its amazing outdoor seating and views. There aren't many restaurants where you hear customers walking by your table on their way to theirs and saying things to perfect strangers (us) like: "Isn't the food here delicious!" Yet that is what happens at Crepes Tea House, which we are delighted is now in Southwick,MA, since for a decade the West Springfield one has been a favorite. My friend Rosalie and I lunched at CTH for a belated birthday lunch (hers) and our server Azaria couldn't have been more wonderful. You just feel like hugging a sweet young lady like this--not only for her amazing customer service, but for her genuine caring about every detail, every little request--orange slices in our water, extra dipping sauce, and assuring there is NO Canola in the kitchen (she's majoring in Health), and then a final complimentary birthday treat for my friend. We dined on a breakfast crepe for my friend with a wide choice of fillings--bacon, salmon, tomatoes, eggs, and my all time favorite medley of veggie pancakes with that one farmer's cheese one (sweet enough to be dessert). Everything on the menu looks delicious--and evidently is by the walk-by patron's comment and from others I have dined with. Absolutely delightful. We ate at the Springfield location in March when on a house hunting trip and loved it. Decided to take our family and the in-laws to this location on a Sunday late afternoon and had another exceptional experience. We can't wait to come back. It's not a quick meal as is more of a European tradition and we appreciate that. The decor is fantastic. Inside seemed very nice but we dined on the back patio and it was pretty much perfect. Service was lovely, friendly and attentive. We all had one of their iced teas and enjoyed them. The flavor was mild but nice. Simple syrup was offered to us but I don't think any of us used it. The teas were good on their own - coming from southerners used to SWEET tea. Ginger peach, pomegranate, and cucumber mint (I only tasted mint but it was good). My son ordered a black mango hot tea and enjoyed it. We sat on the couches for this part of the meal and that was so fun. The borsch soup was tasty. I've never had it elsewhere so I can't compare. The small Crepes are big. The large crepes are ENORMOUS just as a warning. We made that mistake last time and didn't repeat again. Most of my family got a small savory and small sweet crepe this time and everyone was utterly stuffed. They are not skimpy when including the filling or fruit. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries galore. Meat and veggies stuffed to bursting. The farmers cheese with strawberries was nice for me as it isn't overly sweet. I loved it. My tweens got the "puffy cream cheese" with fruit and my goodness is that rich but oh so good. It is a sweetened whipped cream cheese. My husband got just warm honey in his sweet crepe and it seemed a much more reasonable portion for not overeating. FIL ordered warm chocolate and raspberry. He isn't a very verbal man and I can't recall him responding audibly to a dessert in the 22 years I've known him even if he really enjoyed it. But he literally gasped aloud when he took his first bite. It was THAT good. The savory crepes seem delicious but I haven't tasted them myself. My family loves them. Heads up that the sauces for the savory crepes come chilled and not warm. Everyone enjoyed them but were surprised at the temperature. Also if you don't specify the crepes will come out all at once instead of the desert crepes later. But all on separate plates. My daughter ordered a create your own breakfast and went with the sweet crepe and added a "small" plate of the potatoes. She had the most food of anyone but it was such a generous portion of everything. Definitely leftovers for tomorrow morning. The potatoes were so good and enough to eat just as a meal on their own! A bunch of people waiting for their food, empty tables that haven't been cleaned (dishes on the tables) or cleaned poorly (crumbs all over the seats and on the table). Also worth saying they were cleaning the tables with Windex, not a disinfectant. A bunch of orders getting messed up. A bunch of people waiting for a table and some leaving because they weren't even acknowledged for some time. Our order: didn't get fresh squeezed juices because we were told the machine's broken. didn't get other drinks (coffee, tea) until after the food. Food took forever.
