A lovely venue and the new menu is nice, however the service is just incredibly poor. Not sure if it's the norm or growing pains, but we are unsure if we will come back anytime soon. This place is not really a restaurant and certainly not a good restaurant. Tonight, an "event" night, the "restaurant" offered six items on the "menu". When I asked about it, the staff was defensive and didn't want the cooks in the kitchen mad at them. Okay, there was a crowd outside eating burgers and drinking alcoholic beverages listening to a band who were way past their prime.... Bottom line? Very poor selection of food, staff not extremely friendly, and very poor entertainment value for your time and money. Skip it!!! read more

Unfortunately their New Year's menu failed terribly. The two entries to pick from were not great. Grouper over risotto was dry. The steak over store bought box scallops horrible. The two tiny salads were just a half fist of lettuce with dressing. We had to ask for the desert promised in the pix. No coffee offered. Sadly, we will not be doing this again. We frequent the restaurant quite often, to include the evening of July 3rd, on which we ordered prime rib. Staff has always been exceptional, which is why we returned and why we leave large tips. We came for breakfast on Saturday, July 5, at 11:23 am, which was within the posted hours. We were told we had to come back at 12 Noon, because they stopped serving at 11:15 am. We wanted breakfast - not lunch. We were turned away and pretty much told to leave, only to walk out into a torrential rain storm. We got drenched. It ruined our day. Evidently, something changed. Surprised and disappointed. First, the service here is wonderful. Great staff at the bar and table. The rating is strictly for the food. I went with the Friday special, Fish and Chips. My plate consisted of 2 small fillets of overcooked cod, a 1/4 cup of Cole Slaw and prepackaged seasoned potato chips. $16.00 without french fries or an other potato!! I've been living in the area for about 18 months now, and can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal at Blossoms. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just appetizers at the bar, everything has always been excellent (try the"bang-bang" shrimp). Above all, the service at Blossoms is always very efficient and, more importantly, very friendly. From servers, managers, to the top notch bartending staff, we always feel welcomed here. read more

Girls lunch out today at Blossoms Restaurant. All but three had dined here before. It's a casual and relaxing place for lunch. You can sit inside our outside on the covered patio. Decent menu with salads, sandwiches, soups, and several appetizers. I ordered the Reuben sandwich. Others ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and salads with either chicken or salmon. One friend was slightly disappointed with the Magnolia salad (with chicken). She said it lacked a few of the ingredients from the one she had before several months ago; and stated she wouldn't order it again. I really enoyed the Reuben sandwich, served on rye bread. There was a decent amount of corned beef, which was very flavorful, along with the cheese and sauerkraut. The sandwich wasn't loaded with the 1000 dressing, which I liked. I don't like to eat sloppy sandwiches. The other two entrees were good according to my friends. As a side, two of us had the sweet potato fries. Yum!!! They were perfect! Holly, our waitress, was on her second day at the restaurant. She was very patient with our questions about the menu and wine choices. We ordered a bottle of wine at half price. Really good deal, although the wine wasn't the best around. We plan to do a monthly girls afternoon out and will keep Blossoms Restaurant on our list. read more

A cute, bougie spot nestled right up against the golf course. When it comes to a classic southern breakfast, they do the job. The menu is smaller and not particularly exciting, and they don't have a lot of low-carb or otherwise healthy choices. Ask for an omelette without cheese or prepare to have more cheese than egg. However, they have probably the best grits I've ever tasted. If you're going to carb-o-load, I am a fan of this option. The place has a lot of regulars and I can see why. Service is prompt and warm, and the prices make sense. They also have karaoke on Thursday nights. read more

Food rated 2; I ordered Bang bang shrimp. 35 minutes later shrimp arrived cold and onion rings burnt. Three parties arrived after me and all were served food before we got ours. Onion rings were golden fried, mine were burnt and cold. I expect the chef will address this and not have it happen to others. i will only return for beverages and friendly wait staff. I struggled a bit with this review because the servers here are outstanding, but the food is fairly standard. As another reviewer pointed out, it's not destination dining, but then again, it doesn't need to be. It's perfectly adequate for what it is...a nice place to gather after a round of golf or a casual dinner with your friends in the neighborhood. Sandwiches are good here as are the soups, but unlike another reviewer I did not enjoy the bang bang shrimp appetizer. Shrimp on its own is rather flavorless and needs a good sauce to 'bang it up a notch', and this wasn't it. There's a nice outdoor space that overlooks the golf course and since it faces west, if you time it right you will enjoy a beautiful NC sunset. Check it out for breakfast too. Probably one of their better meals of the day based on other reviews and what I've heard. read more

First place I ended up eating once moving to NC. It's nice to hit the pool and cool off and walk over and get some food. I was fairly surprised how good the food was. Quick, cooked perfect, great staff but my big complaint about this entire area is the hours. Everything shuts down early forcing everyone downtown. A lot of us don't want to be around a bunch of ignorant college kids and frat boys ruining our night out when us you get parents still like to go out later when the kids are down. Every apartment complex's pool stays open year around and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way. Y'all don't even have a Walmart open past 11. Blossoms is the latest incarnation of the Magnolia Greens golf course clubhouse restaurant. I first reviewed it back in 2011, when it was called Magnolia Grill. While the interior may have been updated in the intervening years, the boxy space is the same. You definitely get a "golf course clubhouse restaurant" vibe here, and I assume patrons are primarily from the neighborhood, or golfers, or people visiting someone they know who lives in the neighborhood. It's a friendly place to gather and eat before or after a round of golf, or meet friends for an evening of karaoke on Thursday night. Destination dining, it is not. Only breakfast and lunch menus are available, although they do provide dinner specials via email. It's your basic golf course clubhouse food. A selection of salads and sandwiches at lunch, and all the breakfast basics earlier in the day. At dinner, the lunch menu does double duty, and the server will review the evening's specials. On the night we dined there were three: shrimp risotto; filet with risotto and asparagus; and a chicken dish with spinach and mushrooms served over ziti. There are few gluten free options, but I was able to enjoy the Blossoms salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. It's a large portion, and leftovers kept well for another meal the following day. My husband opted for the cheeseburger and fries, which he deemed below average. "Two star, tasted like meatloaf." Plates that wandered by our table that looked good were the all-beef hot dog and the evening's filet special. Informal surveys of the regulars seem to indicate that breakfast is the best meal served at Blossoms. There's still karaoke offered most Thursday nights, from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. It's a good mix of oldies, country, and rock, and most of the performers are way above average. When Jerry Surprise is the karaoke host, his followers show up to sing. It's a ton of fun and fellowship, and that's what a good community restaurant is about, after all. read more

This place constantly changes its hours, days and menu availability. It's so inconsistent . You show up and they have the whole outside reserved for an event that takes place a few hours later. Then they tell you they have a limited menu but can't provide one or tell you what is on it, but have all of their regular menus all laid out. The hostess and waitresses and bar tenders, who have no say get stuck dealing with the incompetence of the management. Blossoms reminds me of hotel bar that is only open at their own convenience. read more

The hubs and I tried Blossoms at Magnolia Greens for an early brunch before church this morning. Newly renovated and featuring a large bar area, the new digs are great for hanging out and having a cold one. I had the eggs Benedict because I can't ever really say no to it. A toasty English muffin topped with real ham and a poached egg and finished off with hollandaise. Sadly, my egg was not runny. It was moreso a boiled egg. Had the egg yolk been runny, the dish would've been better because it didn't lack in flavor. I had a side of fruit which was delicious. Grayson had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit which he described as average. Served with shoestring hash browns. It is nice to have another spot in Leland that serves breakfast! Especially one that is sit down and not fast food! We will go back because it is convenient and close to home and has decent breakfast. read more

I go here every Sunday. I can get 2 scrambled eggs, the home fries (which are the best) & toast for $5. Add a mimosa and it's $10. Never busy, fast and get leftovers to go. Great brunch spot!! Best in Leland for great food, low price and great view of the golf course!! read more

Surprisingly delicious. A pretty stereotypical large dining room setting. Almost feels like there is some sort of Buffett set up around the corner. The food was incredible. Ended up getting the Mac and cheese with truffle oil. Thought it was going to be this tiny serving. Man was I wrong! Huge portion, super melty cheese, bread crumbs, crumbled bacon. There was so much I couldn't finish it. Finish it I really wanted to! The boyfriend had their burger. It was out of this world juicy and yummy. We had a great experience for breakfast here. The room is bright, well appointed and offers a view of the patio and putting green. The menu offered basic breakfast fare along with a few original entrées. A couple of specials rounded out the selection. My wife ordered the pumpkin pancake special. She found them to be completely satisfactory. I went with the corned beef hash which comes with two eggs and several bread options. The hash was made with hash brown style potatoes. It was very good. Service overall and coffee refills were average. We were the only table when seated. Blossom's is worthy of a return visit. read more

Only drawback is that the atmosphere is stale, interior is dated - I was surprised to read a review here from last year saying it had just been remodeled at that time (what did it look like before?!) Totally blown away and so appreciative! The food was delicious (try the bang bang shrimp, buffalo tenders, burger etc...) but it was the service that really made the difference. First off, they follow strict covid regulations and all staff are masked up, everything is, and gets sanitized and you just feel safe and clean in this establishment. Sara was the bartender and in my 2.5 years in Wilmington I am certain I have not had a better bartender in any restaurant, no matter the price range of the food. She not only remembers everyone's names, she is happy to make adjustments to the menu to accommodate her customers (guests), she is fun, friendly and professional all at the same time. When was the last time you could say you encountered that? It didn't matter that my golf game was pitiful today, when I left Blossoms I felt like I had just been an important customer, I had a nice lunch, a great gin and tonic and can't wait to go back. All the service staff is incredible and I can only think that it is Sara who sets the tone and the others follow. What a great role model - I wonder if she's the restaurant manager, or even the food and beverage manager as well? My friend and I came here on a whim after running a race in Brunswick County. The service was slow but friendly and the breakfast selection was just okay. We both ordered traditional breakfast fare--eggs, pancakes, potatoes. Everything was good not great. I wouldn't mind coming back here if I needed to but wouldn't choose it if there was another choice. read more

I've had one okay brunch experience here. They have good French toast and biscuits and gravy but everything else I've tried is sub par. Went for lunch one day and got the truffle mac and cheese..... do not follow in my footsteps. To sum it up: Kraft-ish noodles, flavorless cheese sauce, fake bacon bits.
