I'm a regular at the Sawmill Cafe. I've had really amazing breakfast experiences here and the few times I've come for lunch, I've been unenthused. They have a wide selection of affordable and delicious breakfast options. I always get two eggs, home fries, and a biscuit- and it is under five dollars. Service is fast. I'm writing this review in Sawmill and I wouldn't be shocked if my meal came before I was done. It is seat yourself and a casual ambiance. I've also never had an issue with parking. The one detractor is that the few times I got lunch here, I didn't really like the food. The fried oysters weren't good. If you stick to breakfast and stay away the fried seafood, you should be good. My food just came, so I'm going to eat now.

My first time for breakfast here, I've been for lunch before. It was crowded when we arrived , but opted for seats at the counter . We were immediately given menus and our beverage order was taken. The beverages and our silverware packets arrived speedily, I ordered ice water and coffee. The coffee was pleasantly hot and had great flavor. A single egg , scrambled dry with potatoes and a biscuit was ordered. As we waited for our meals to arrive we could watch either tv in front of us. The staff was bustling all around , they are always busy at this location, and great teamwork between the staff. My meal arrived soon after and it was hot. The egg perfectly scrambled dry , the potatoes and small pieces of onion, not over bearing , had great flavor and they were plentiful. The biscuit was hot, fluffy and had good taste. I did find it too buttery for my taste , but good. A great breakfast at a good price. I would definitely be back for breakfast or lunch.

Busy, popular place in Wilmington near the airport. The breakfast burrito was full of sausage, peppers and cheese and came with a side of salsa and sour cream. It was tasty, but nothing that special. The mimosa was good, and the pancakes were large and fluffy and good! It's a good place for a casual and dependable breakfast with good service.

Good basic country cooking. What does set them apart from other restaurants is "the staff." They are very friendly, attentive and makes you feel like family.

I called and o place an order and no one ever came back to the line! I am sitting in the parking lot of the business in hold... walked in placed the order, and made it know that I'd been holding for 7 minutes now... the young lady was real nonchalant about having a paying customer on the line... at this point the call is still connected and no one has come back to the line.. which is ridiculous! I'll never come back. Believe that

Penny beast and her girl at The Sawmill Cafe. The bacon sandwiches were great and they refilled everyone's water lots.

At this point it was about 9:15am and I saw Brunch Thyme was open. Not doing a lot of research I walked over and assumed it was a sit down restaurant but quickly learned that it's actually take out. I think the worker saw the disappointment on my face when I walked in and she offered me a small foldable table to place outside which encouraged me to stay. My partner ordered the fish n' grits and I ordered The Frenchie which both turned out to be great choices. The fish was seasoned well, I believe it was whiting and the grits were rich and creamy. It came with a delicious gravy that we didn't notice until the meal was almost finished but ended up spooning like a soup. My French toast and eggs were tasty as well. For drinks they had canned Coke products, apple juice and bottled water. Sitting outside was hot and the bugs were constant but I was thankful to have a place to eat because again, I walked here (about 20 min). I observed many people eating in their cars or simply taking their food to go. With this, I also saw a few groups come and go as they didn't realize it was a take out style restaurant. Minus the heat, we enjoyed our meal and the customer service we received. Prices were responsible and portion sizes were filling. Check it out if you're in the area.

This establishment has been around for some years & the ambience reflects its age. The staff greeted us and were very friendly. The service was excellent, our order was ready in under 10 minutes. There is plenty of parking around, and the neighborhood is lovely. We arrived right when lunch hour started so the restaurant was pretty empty. We were immediately seated and our waiter, Luke, was great with bringing drinks and menus asap. I decided to try the summer salad and add shrimp and an order of the kalbi wings. The wings were absolutely delicious and enough to share. My friend ordered the deviled eggs app and loved it too. The summer salad was very generous, but the reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is because it was $10 for 6 shrimp! Regular sized shrimp. The salad was $15 which is totally fine, but $10 more for 6 shrimp is ridiculous. I would go back and just not add the shrimp. There is a really cute outdoor area as well. It was too hot to sit there at lunch time, but I imagine for dinner it would be lovely so I will go back another time to experience that.
