CRAB CAKES, EGGPLANT BRUSCHETTA, CALAMARI
Bethany R.

The view is really nice and great location near the water. I got the matcha martini on the happy hour, it was okay. On the happy hour, we started with the oysters - they were good, enjoyed them we got a second round. We got 3 apps for under $30. The crab cake was okay we thought we would get more than one (3 of us). We got the eggplant, we absolutely loved that! Lastly, the calamari was great. I love the type of breading they do for them. We wanted to try more food but we ran out of time. I would come back to try more. We mainly did the happy hour menu and they have great prices! Really cute place. . Overall I liked the food and will try to come again for more.

Nice ambiance on the water but no clear view to the City. Romantic ambience which was nice for date night. The service was ok, nothing special. The food was ok, not great. Scallops were very small and a bit overcooked. The crab cakes were good but the spicy so be ready for that. We also ordered clam chowder which was good. I would come back in the summer when they have happy hour options to try that.

My mom, sister and I had an amazing time yesterday. The drinks were very good and the food was delicious! The service was very good too! The vibe of the place was upbeat and it was a perfect day to enjoy great food and drinks with loved ones!

4.3 stars Relaxed vibe and nice views of the Manhattan skyline. Menu offers variety of seafood and non-seafood options. Food came out quickly. Tried out the lobster nachos (potato chips. overall, interesting dish with the wasabi flavors. Decent amount of lobster), fish tacos (good chipotle sauce and toppings), eggplant bruschetta (the eggplant slice serves as the vehicle for the cheese and sauce), and grilled octopus (pretty nice execution. The accompanying grilled avocado and peppers were a good pairing). Portions are large for the price. Service was friendly.

Happy hour East coast oysters that I ate pretty quickly...

I tried their shrimp linguine pasta with scallops and it was absolutely delicious. I left nothing behind...it was that good! I can't wait to go back to have another round. The service and the ambiance is on point!

Happy hour!

Friendly service, drinks & food was good, I ordered the crab cakes & also a salmon burger (with fries) to go.

BUFFALINA FLATBREAD

This is my favorite neighborhood hangout!! Great location, friendly staff and great food! I am partial to the Buffalina flatbread--do yourself a favor and order it! My favorite bartender is Ruben; he works most nights. And the managers, David and Justin are as friendly and welcoming as can be. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood!!

My new fav place! Restaurant Fest week! Small, efficiently run & friendly staff. Street parking & Bisby Parking garage nearby is $11, I forgot to ask if they validated. View is great outside, inside it's a bit obstructed. Food was tasty, prices reasonable. And a lovely area to stroll around a beautifully landscaped park or sit on the "beach." Staff is very welcoming. Don't pass up the cheesecake of the day( they bake daily) or the key lime pie! We both enjoyed fish but everything looks good. Give it a shot, you'll be treated well. Thanks to server, Emil & floor manager Justin! Also thanks to bartender for a generous espresso martini!

Money mule! Well done! And a glass of Chardonnay!

This place was excellent. The service was fast and super friendly and welcoming. The food was declious and well-presented. The cocktails were done right! The ambiance and the view by the water is lovely. I also liked the decor. Great seafood and atmosphere at a lovely venue. Definitely visit, especially on a nice sunny day when you can sit outside!!! I'd recommend the crab cakes, oysters and lobster roll! We also loved their mescal margaritas.

Nice spot with spacious, good ambiance and the view of the city, plus you get TVs to watch by the bar unless you want to have a private table. Foods and drinks were economic with quality. We tried oysters, crab cake, calamari and beef sliders. All tasty! Service was friendly, clean and fast as well.

The NICEST group of humans. The food is fabulous (try David's cheesecake!) but the loveliness of the staff is unsurpassed. Not to be missed.

Didn't feel like it was associated with a hotel!…read more Stopped in after dinner for a quick drink and snack/dessert. Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.

My friend really enjoyed her drink as well. At $19 per cocktail, it's not the cheapest in the area, but also not the priciest either. Would absolutely recommend Split Eights to anyone looking for craft cocktails in the area.

He is the best mixologist in NYC. He danced with lemon slices cutting through pours of clear liquids from heights. He tossed and shook, and was precise and caring. A true artist. David made our night. The only reason I would ever walk back into this place is to sit at the bar and let David mesmerize me. FOOD: Broccoli rabe was fresh, but I needed a steak knife to cut through it. It was very al dente. Not cut properly, which is to cut crosses in the stems. Salad was fresh and crisp, high quality fennel and greens. Lovely. Agnoletti was divine. Home made. Focaccia very good with subtle flavors and just the right crust. Olive oil, good. The front of house staff was lovely, two ladies, and a friendly guy. Super lovely. Treated us like friends. Also the busboys were all gentlemen. I loved them. They brushed crumbs off the table with panache. The only complaint is the waiter was robotic, and issued rule after rule. No smile. EX: It was a freezing night. We wanted to order appetizer's first, and have a chance to look at the menu. He couldn't do that. "I need the whole order." Then one of us wanted to order the pre fixe dinner. "You can't do that. You both have to order it." He was very cold, a robot. To enjoy ourselves, we had to push through the horrible treatment. Too bad for the waiter, when I asked about the special pasta, he butchered the pronunciation, giving me a soft pitch to teach him Italian. I blasted him. C'est la vie.
