    Matcha latte
    Sudatta J.

Blue Bottle Coffee makes one of the best matcha lattes (default: oat milk) I've had. Rich, smooth, and not too sweet -- just the right balance. The ambience is calm and welcoming, and the service is always great. A perfect go-to for a quality matcha break!

Spacious cafe with a great atmosphere and plenty of room to sit and work. The big windows bring in lots of natural light and make the space feel open and welcoming. The seating is well arranged and comfortable, which makes it an easy place to stay for a while. I tried their sweet latte for the first time and really enjoyed it. Parking was very convenient with a garage right across the street and additional parking available all around the area. The cafe is located in downtown San Mateo, surrounded by many restaurants and a movie theater, so it is a great spot to stop by whether you are working, meeting up with friends, or just hanging out. Overall, a great place and I would definitely come back again.

Stopped by for a quick coffee early morning and I loved how airy and quiet the seating area was. Sweet Latte - ordered it half sweet and it was perfect. The coffee was very smooth and kept me going for the rest of the day. This was my favorite out of the two drinks. Caffè Mocha - tasted like hot cocoa with hint of espresso. It wasn't as sweet as hot cocoa but it was definitely rich. Would recommend if you like hot cocoa.

Convenient corner location, arrived early so lots of street parking available. Many seating options, indoor or outdoor. Grabbed a TGTG to try some pastries and a was feeling a Hot chai latte. Tasted great although I like my chai creamier. Biased though- my South Indian bestie made fresh chai over stove with various spices and can never get one similar to hers. Pleasant & chill morning with Good early morning vibes from staff . Would visit again if I'm close by.

Americano (Hayes Valley roast) was terrific as always. Tried the sticky bun and it was probably the best pastry I've had off the menu.

Sweet latte on a cold rainy day downtown San Mateo. Service is quick and I love the atmosphere, my son says it reminds him of walking into an Apple Store. lol Coffee is getting pricey, but once in a while splurge is ok.

081725 BFF took me here for a much needed caffeine fixed - staff was friendly and prompt when ordering. I got a small mocha latte with almond milk. It was chocolatey and the temperature was just right. Well worth checking out - their decor is trying to be Apple but hey, 'tis the Bay Area.

Blue Bottle is a modern, cozy, and spotless coffee shop downtown -- the kind of place that makes you feel like you're in a magazine ad for "productive mornings." You can taste the quality in the beans and the care in the milk -- this is not your average corner coffee. Sure, the cup sizes are on the smaller side, but it's definitely a quality over quantity situation. The moment you walk in, you get peak coffee shop vibes: people tapping away on laptops, AirPods in, tiny group conversations drifting in the background. Even though there's a steady flow of customers, it never feels too crowded thanks to their quick, efficient service. You get your caffeine fix and keep your sanity. Great place, Austin Yee

Blue Bottle is usually a solid spot to grab a coffee and a bite. This one is quite a nice shop. A beautiful space, solid coffee, and decent food. My only real complaint is that a small (no syrup) iced coffee and a tiny breakfast sandwich was $20 before even tipping. I'm not sure if I could justify a return visit at that kind of price.

Blue Bottle Coffee in San Mateo is delicious! It has a stylish atmosphere and a really nice vibe. The staff were friendly too.

I met a friend here for a coffee and kept it simple. Got a juice and a cookie which hopefully canceled each other out.

Stopped by Blue Bottle in downtown San Mateo--Really nice spot on B st. Lots of seating and open space. The Iced oat latte I ordered was smooth and not too sweet. Thanks! Anthonyxibarrax

Right there in the first block of Burlingame Avenue was Ceré Tea. A small nook of a shop, I noticed quite a lot of Asian young people inside and at the two tables outside. After doing my shopping, I was making my way back to the train station when I decided to get a beverage to stay hydrated. Matcha and Hojicha seem to be Ceré Tea's focus - many combinations with various flavors. Having had a matcha latte earlier in the day, I ordered a fruit tornado mango (mango purée, with fruit chunks and a salted cream). The drink was prepared after several minutes - somewhat swiftly. The Tornado Mango was mango-y, creamy and nicely tart. There were a few chunks of mango in the drink (yum). Some chunks could have been more flavorful and seemed not as ripe :/ Overall, I enjoyed my to-go drink while riding Caltrain back to the City. Next time, I hope to try other Ceré Tea beverages plus r-e-l-a-x while hanging out on the Avenue.

While the design was cute and the crepes were thin, there wasnt enough biscoff creme (only about 1 layer for every 4-5 layers of plain vanilla creme) for the flavor to really come through. For a special holiday flavor like this, we expected a stronger biscoff flavor. If theres a special again, we'd be willing to give another flavor a try!
