From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fun, energetic, and welcoming. The whole place has a colorful, trendy vibe with music playing, people laughing, and a relaxed brunch crowd that made it feel exciting without being overwhelming. Even though it was busy for Mother's Day, it still felt organized and comfortable instead of chaotic. The food was honestly so good. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the portions were huge. You can tell they put thought into the menu instead of serving just basic breakfast food. It felt like a fun twist on classic brunch favorites. Service was fast too, which we appreciated especially on such a busy holiday morning. The staff stayed friendly and upbeat the entire time, and you could tell they handled the rush really well. My husband and I were already excited for our day at the zoo, and breakfast here was the perfect start to it all. I'm currently pregnant, so finding a breakfast spot that actually sounds good and lives up to the hype feels extra important right now. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back the next time we're in Cincinnati.

We both ordered Bloody Marys, which were good although we didn't get the lime or extra olives we asked for. I ordered the philly cheesesteak omelet. It was skimpy, very dry, came with one piece of toast and no potatoes. Seemed over priced at $15. My friend ordered a cheese omelet. Again, it was skimpy and dry, and none of the cheese was melted. One piece of toast and no potatoes. Won't go back since we can get much better food at First Watch or Wild Eggs, for the same price or less.

We were craving something different from the usual breakfast, and that's when we found Avalanche. As huge crepe fans, once we read their story on the website, we knew this was the place to go! From the moment we walked in, one of the owners greeted us right away -- super friendly and chill. The space was clean, the music was great, and the Montana-inspired decor and artwork really told their story and created such a welcoming vibe. Now, let's talk about the crepes! I ordered The Snow Bunny, and the very first bite brought instant comfort -- exactly what I needed to start the day. My husband ordered The Ronnie, and it was incredible. The blend of hash browns, chorizo, and eggs was perfectly balanced -- none of the ingredients overpowered the others -- and every bite was a delicious harmony. The crepe itself was the true star of the meal! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town visiting friends. See you soon -- your Kansas City fans!

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

I have always loved this space. Vibe has good music. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. I would describe the menu selection as maybe southern / Cajun? My bowl was FULL of potato's with very little protein (light on the egg and corned beef hash). The flavor was good, but for $18, I want more than potatoes. The service is what really got me in a bad mood. It was sloooowww. Even to get a coffee refill took 20 minutes. Here's the kicker, when we finished our meal, we were still enjoying our coffee and juice, 3 people came and cleared everything from our table - even our waters. And then the hostess came up and rudely told us we had to leave because they had reservations for our table. I kid you not... there were 4 empty tables to our right. We were having a holiday lunch (just two polite ladies who had not consumed any alcohol) and finishing up a story. I cannot believe they pushed us out. I would never ever eat here again.

The Goetta is a regional dish popular to the area comprised of sausage and potato fried like a smash burger. It was packed full of flavor and was nice and crispy. A must get was the biscuit and gravy. Unlike the southern style which is usually thick and creamy, this has amazing seasoning, plenty of the sausage crumble, and rich texture. The biscuit underneath was soft and savory and paired very well in this dish. The filet and eggs were perfectly cooked and had good flavor. There were a lot of diced potatoes on the plate to enjoy which was also well seasoned and crispy. Lastly the big easy omelette was very good. I do like the fact it was plated on top of a piece of toast. The biscuit and gravy along with the omelette gave a very strong New Orleans feeling. The cocktails also hit their mark. Local distillery Riff was the maker of the bourbon for the mule. I'm not sure of their lineup but it compared to Bulleit Bourbon. Very stable in the cocktail without being overpowering. The hard truth was a coffee with a punch and a great way to start a vacation morning. The restaurant was deceptively large from its outward appearance. There is lots of seating available and the tables moved swiftly. The large garage style doors allowed for full fresh air circulation and opens the brightness from the natural lighting. Being a corner location they were able to maximize on the opened interior dining experience. Overall 4.7 out of 5
