We had a great dinner at Fort Mitchell Public House. Prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Service was also very good. We'll definitely return.

Found this place on-line since we had to be near the airport for an appointment. We were looking for a lunch at a place that we haven't visited before. The restaurant has been open since 2015 but replaced a previous restaurant. The owner who has been the bartender for 25 years (both restaurants) has done a great job with it. The crowd was mostly elderly for lunch. The wait staff was very friendly and provided great service. They were ahead of me bringing iced tea refills. I had the Cod Reuben. This consisted of a giant piece of fish with cheese and homemade slaw on a potato bun. It was very good. I subbed fries for the normal kettle chips. With the cajun seasoning they were great! The restaurant considers itself a New Orleans branded one (Fleur de Lis) but didn't have Gumbo and considered Jambalaya as similar (LOL) . They did have Po Boys. My wife had the Salmon sliders. They were huge!

A hidden gem tucked away just seconds from the interstate! Had an appointment in the area and was in search of a unique place for lunch. Found what I was looking for in Fort Mitchell Public House. The atmosphere was warm and the staff was very welcoming. The restaurant is in old house and the decorr has a lot of character. Fleur de Lis is part of the branding in homage to the Cajun emphasis (although, technically, the Cajuns came from Acadia in Canada to Louisiana......) The menu had some Louisiana favorites like Po Bo sandwiches and Jambalyay. I was disappointed that they do not serve Gumbo, which is a Louisiana (both Cajun and Creole) staple. I had the Salmon sliders and cajun fries. The salmon was super fresh and large pieces were provided for each of the two sliders. It was cooked to perfection! I appreciated being able to substitute fries for the chips that normally accompany this dish and the ability for the kitchen to "cajunize" my fries. I will definitely be back!

So if you are looking for a spot with ambiance then this place certainly has it! Nice outdoor patio area for dining, it was all full when we arrived so we sat inside. They were fairly busy at lunch time. It took a bit for a hostess to seat us but a couple people acknowledged our presence there and said someone would be with us soon. Our waitress was at the table shortly after we sat down and took our drink orders. I had a martini and found it nice enough to have another, there was a blackberry flavor to it but I do not recall its name. I decided to go with the Southern Shrimp Dip and the Saigon Salad and my friend had the Loaded Saratoga Chips. I would not order the Southern Shrimp Dip again as I did not much care for it. The dip was cheesy but lacked flavor and no real chunks of shrimp. Also came with some dry pita bread on the side. Was a no for me. The Saigon Salad was greens, red and green onion, almonds, rice noodles, grilled chicken, and had a soy ginger vinaigrette. It was fine. The Saratoga Chips were fine, nothing to write home about. Overall loved the vibe here but wouldn't come back as the food did not stand up to the price paid.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Fort Mitchell Public House Bar has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots. The vibe is perfect--laid-back, friendly, and just the right amount of lively without being overwhelming. The food is exactly what you want from a neighborhood pub but done really well. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the wings are crispy with sauces that actually taste like they were thought out (not just dumped on), and even the salads are fresh and way better than you'd expect at a bar. Everything feels consistent and made with care. Drinks? Solid. They've got a great selection of beers on tap, and the cocktails are strong without being overdone. Prices are reasonable, too, which makes it easy to come back again and again. The staff here is what really sets it apart--they're attentive without hovering and genuinely make you feel welcome. Even if it's your first visit, you get the sense you'll be remembered the next time you come in. Overall, it's just one of those places that hits the sweet spot: great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Whether you're catching a game, grabbing dinner, or just meeting up with friends, Fort Mitchell Public House Bar delivers every time.

Great fish and chips and a small jambalaya. One of my favorite places whenever I visit Cincinnati will be back again and again and again!

Great fish and chips. The fries are fantastic. The cod is fresh. I had a small jambalaya and it was excellent. Will be back again whenever we're in the area we love this place. We would recommend you to stop and enjoy your lunch and a few beers.

This place is such a little gem. It's so cozy and welcoming. The pretzels had a great flavor but I wish it was served with beer cheese instead of queso dip. The catfish had a great flavor and I love their red beans and rice, I usually steal them off my husbands plate whenever he orders this dish so I finally decided to order it for myself. Big portions!

Great food... Super service (all hail Tish) my first time here, definitely will be going again!!!

I love this place especially in the fall. Sit outside in the shade and it's so peaceful Of course the food is delicious. We ordered the salmon sliders with Saratoga chips and portobello mushrooms salad. We were happy eaters.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

We took our dog there for several years and it is his favorite place. In the summer of 2022, a guest brought in a vicious dog that bit a server. Now only service animals are allowed.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

Both were friendly & acknowledged the birthday girl in our party. Atmosphere is great. You could comfortably walk in wearing jeans or come dressed up. Neither would be over or under dressed. The menu has juuuust the right amount of options, which is great! Heather was our waitress & while she was kind, her service skills were lacking. Granted we weren't at a Michelin Star Restaurant, but we also weren't at a dive bar. There was an endless amount of awkward reaching through, over & around when refilling drinks. There were a couple of instances where she actually touched our shoulders to nudge us to the side so she could reach through. Totally not okay during service at a restaurant nicer than a dive bar. We ordered the cheese sticks starter which were so yummy! Highly recommend! A couple of us ordered the Cesar side salad & were highly disappointed. The dressing tasted like it was mayonnaise heavy & then watered down by lettuce that wasn't dried after being rinsed. Even adding tons of extra pepper didn't help. The lettuce also tasted like it has been too wet for too long. The lobster mac was ordered in the group & it was tasty but soooo greasy. So, order with caution. We had the Black N Bleu salad in the group & that was good. The Atlantic Salmon was another dinner ordered & the crust seasoning was delicious! Sadly, the salmon was a bit overdone. It does come with a lobster cream sauce, which confused me. It was only so so & I definitely skipped it entirely. The steamed broccoli was done to perfection though. Not soggy & not too crunchy. We also had the 12oz ribeye & that was great! Flavorful, cooked perfectly! I will add though, that the steak knives need an upgrade. I really wanted to love this place, but we won't return on our next trip to Newport/Cincinnati.

We got the Breakfast tostada, Smoked brisket Benedict, Standard breakfast burger, nuggets and potato cakes, and a side of fruit and goetta. Everyone slopped up the Benedict, together. And that burger was gone in 4 minutes flat. Wow some of the best brunch food I've had in years. We are greeted upon a friendly worker, and our server was also friendly. The menu is very limited... That is the only reason I'm taking off a point. They had less than 10 options for food, which I was disappointed in because I often like a little more variety, especially when the menu doesn't really have the same common thing. Like there were just a bunch of random options. I got the I don't goetta chopped cheese, which was really good and I also tried a chicken tender, which was pretty good even though it was in the shape of a very small nugget not as a tender as advertised. They didn't even have the piña colada's even though it was on the menu. But maybe it was a blessing in disguise because I got some sort of blended coffee drink with Bailey's instead, which was delicious! Super cute place and I loved the vibe I would come again maybe on a fall night to be able to enjoy outside because we were originally placed outside, but then it started to pour! I'm not gonna be racing back here anytime soon, but I'm glad I tried it.
