4 Chicken Tenders , Grilled Cheese & Fried Pickles
    Rebecca M.

This updated review is solely based on a doordash experiece - as I have been throwing those into the mix as the quality should match and people should know if it doesnt. I work about 15 minutes from this establishment so I am also taking that into account , I had the patty melt with chips and a side of ranch and bbq. The patty melt had super crispy bread - I was not a fan of this because it made the sandwich too hard to chew and bite into. The meat patty had a nice flavor and was seasoned well as well as the green onions. The chips tasted fine but could've used some seasoning or more salt - the ranch had a weird texture and tasted more like dill - I would not order it again! The bbq was sweet , tangy and a little spicy.

I've been here twice, once with my wife, and once with my daughter. I can't say enough great things about this place. Such a nice atmosphere, service is friendly, and the upstairs eating area is really cool! The food has always tasted great as well. Wings are awesome, fried pickles are amazing!

Five stars for atmosphere plus excellent execution of quality food at a neighborhood bar price. This spot makes me wish I still lived in the east end in Columbia Tusculum -- this is your ultimate local bar. It is extremely comfortable for hanging out, but also happens to have excellent food and part of a legit restaurant group that's still not too big. This group is able to provide quality food at reasonable bar prices, which is almost unheard of anymore. They are known for their chicken wings and rightfully so. They have an excellent selection of sauces and dry rub. Their burgers are made of quality meat from the infamous Avril Bleh & Sons. Crinkle cut fries are everything you want them to be -- ratio of potato to fried whilst perfectly crispy and fresh. Spoken like a true chunk! They also have gotten it right when it comes to drinks. They have interesting choices on tap and host amazing specials, like $10 pitchers of beer and half price wine night, etc. The service is friendly and efficient, and the renovated east end building was done right -- comfortable but retaining the historical feel. We will be back again and again -- as a local neighborhood bar should be.

Interesting bar with a lot of people. Great place near the river that has space to hang out with friends. The best is in the summer/early fall to hang out on the deck, but the inside space has plenty of seating. The bartenders messed up our drink order and the food takes a bit of time but overall not a bad place to visit when you've got time.

The Hi-Mark is always consistently great! We came on a Sunday around 6:00 and there were luckily still seats available on the patio to enjoy the weather - our food came out so fast and everyone ordered something they'd never had before - 10/10's all around. My favorite tip is to order a side/cup of the Eli's BBQ dry rub- it is so delicious.

We were looking for somewhere different and decided we'd try a place on Riverside Drive /Rt 52. You know, you drive along the river in the East Side of Cinci and pass several little bars and bbq joints dotted along the way. And you wonder "what's that place like? Who goes there? How'd they find it?" So this was the night. It was a nice day/evening so plenty of people had the same idea. We found seating on the second floor by the window (tip: don't brush any crumbs off your table toward the window because there are tables down below ). We ordered the cauliflower app (pretty good!) and the pretzel (wheat? Not your usual white dough interior). For entrees we had wings, burger, melt and fried chicken sandwich. We had the crispy fries. They were all decent - we didn't have any complaints, except we wished the fries had been fresh and hot -- because they were pretty good lukewarm, so they must have been great when they were hot! There was a mixed crowd: groups just having beers, families having dinner. Outdoor patio was bustling and tables inside were all filled. Music playing. Order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Easy parking in the lot in back. So know we know: regular people go to these places and have burgers and beers. We'll try some of the others along this route next time the urge comes upon us.

Came here with some friend's service was okay, the staff wasn't that friendly. We ordered some buffalo chicken wings and my guest had ordered a pretzel which they said was super hard and unflavored. As more and more people came in it got super loud I couldn't even hear myself talk, but it was cool for the night . It was clean and a good atmosphere. Agin it was just okay, I wish the staff was a little bit more friendly but it's okay. If you are ever in the area stop in and watch some games and hang out with friends! I did enjoy all the tvs and the games that they had on!

We had a large party, and our waiter, Lil D, didn't miss a beat. He was super friendly, attentive, and always seemed to be right there whenever we needed something. The cars that move around on the ceiling are currently down while they're being repainted, but that's always one of our favorite features when we visit. Our food came out hot and delicious. The Jiffy Burger is one of my favorites! I always ask for the peanut butter on the side because they tend to be a little generous with it on the burger. They also sang for our birthday girl and brought her a complimentary bowl of ice cream, which was a fun touch. The only suggestion I'd make is to skip the extremely loud horn sound when someone at the bar leaves a tip or when the staff comes out to sing for birthdays. It's really loud and can be pretty distracting. We also love the fun car-themed sinks in the bathrooms and the automotive-themed napkin holders and food wraps. They have a cute selection of swag, too, including T-shirts, cups, hats, and more. We'll definitely be back!

I found myself halfway through the signature burger, marveling at the assembly--not a bolt out of place, everything in its proper station and the lettuce crisp as a cold-rolled steel sheet. A man appreciates a system that functions without chatter or delay. Sitting here near the assembly plant's ghost, I couldn't help but admire the vintage fittings; they've managed to capture the spirit of progress without the clutter of modern inefficiency. My wife has a constitution that demands specific care, and the server handled her requirements with the precision of a master machinist, wasting no time on unnecessary pleasantries but delivering exactly what was ordered. The restrooms, surprisingly, have a sense of humor, though humor is a luxury I generally leave to the salesmen. It is a good price for an honest meal, constructed with a respect for speed that would make a production line foreman nod in approval. It is a well-oiled operation and I shall return to see if they can maintain this level of output." And normal: From the moment i stepped in... the atmosphere hit me like a wave. It was a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication with antiques that told stories of a bygone era. The restrooms while quirky, added a unique touch to the experience. What truly stood out was the service. It was swift and efficient, with our server going above and beyond to accommodate my wife's allergies. Grant our server did amazing job ! I ordered the Ford signature burger, and it was an absolute masterpiece. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality was exceptional. The presentation was top-notch, and the speed at which it arrived was impressive. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and i couldn't be more satisfied with my dining experience. Overall, Ford's Garage is a must-visit for anyone looking for a high-quality, efficient, and enjoyable meal. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is truly special. i highly recommend this place to anyone who loves food and wants to experience a unique dining experience. - Atmosphere: 9/10 - Food Quality: 9/10 - Service/Flow: 10/10 - Value: 8/10 - Would Return: Yes. One of my friends loved the Bolo, which looked really good. Bread would have been a nice addition to this pasta dish. Another had the mac & cheese appetizer with chicken added. It also looked really good. I had the poutine as pictured, which was decent but would have benefited from more meat sauce and additional cheese curds. It was dry and they forgot the parsley. Sammi, our server, did bring me a small dish of additional sauce when asked. I love poutine, but would not order this again for reasons mentioned. Overall, the food was good, however, they charged $10 each for draft beer, including the house TOB beer! This was shocking to see on our receipts and is much higher than draft beer in some big cities. They do have a huge selection, but this seems at least a couple of dollars over the top. Our server, Sammi, did a great job, which we appreciated.

As for the coffee, the taste was okay, but the presentation was lacking; it didn't look very appetizing when it arrived at the table. It's a cool spot with a great vibe, but I really hope they work on their food quality control a bit more. Let me just say there's a reason they've been here so long. They keep their restaurant clean, the staff is so pleasant, immediate service and the food is even better than I remember. Our server was Elly-so sorry if I misspelled your name sweetie! Lol Elly was adorable, funny, kind, very caring-all the good adjectives-and a UC student to boot! We thoroughly enjoyed her personality and service! She told us she was new there and let me say she might have been new but seemed like a seasoned pro! I ordered the Cobb salad and asked for light blue cheese and ranch instead of vinaigrette and Elly was so thoughtful and brought the cheese on the side so I could add what I want. It did not disappoint! Everything was fresh! The eggs were boiled perfectly! The chicken was flavorful and tender! Hubby got the Sunday special which was Chicken Pesto Pasta with the most delicious garlic bread! (I tasted it ) He normally never eats the bread that comes with meals but after tasting it he gobbled it down. Bummer-I would have gladly eaten it for him He loved the dish too and said it was delicious and tasted very flavorful, not salty at all. The couple we went with ordered Fish and Chips (substituted regular fries for sweet potato fries) and he loved every bite. He said the Cod was perfectly cooked, moist and flaky on the inside and had a crispy crunch on the outside. He loved whatever seasoning was on his fries. It looked like it might have been fresh finely chopped parsley with something else but he said it was very flavorful and added a nice touch. His wife got the Sunday special as well with a gluten bun instead of the garlic bread. She loved her meal. We couldn't go without getting some cheesecake to go for later! Sometimes the old restaurants that have been a favorite and a neighborhood staple need a shout out and recognized for their food, service and dedication to their customers. I will be adding them into my routine stops going forward!

Just not flavorful at all. Everyone else's was just okay as well. So for two of us with one having a Pepsi and a small dessert to share between the two of us, it was $50 before tip.
