I had researched floor plans and brands for over a year before my husband joined the search. He researched things a lot deeper. One of the things he read was that it's just as important to find a dealer you love as it is to find the right rig. We narrowed it down to Grand Design Solitude or KZ Durango Gold. Which brought us to Folsom Lake RV. They are the only dealer of KZ in Northern California.... but we would have traveled for the right rig/dealership... thankfully we didn't have to.... the folks at Folsom Lake RV are AWESOME! From the sales department, to financing to parts & service EVERYONE gave us exceptional service. They were patient with our timeline and accommodating with our extremely extensive PSI checklist. Friendly, informative and super helpful. We had a few issues come up on our pick up day, and these guys were quick to make it right and exceeded our expectations of how things should be dealt with. I have had my TT for a little over two years now and I have had to take my TT in a handful of times for warranty work. Booking a service appointment is about the only easy part of the process. Each visit, my TT has sat for at least two months before finally being worked on. In total, I have lost about 8 months of use between all my warranty repair visits. There always seems to be a break down in communication between service and the manufacture in getting warranty work approval. I have had to reach out to the manufacture on occasion only to be told it was service who dropped the ball when submitting paperwork. Every time I bring my TT here, there is a new service person behind the counter. Every time I get my TT back, I notice a new scratch or scuff mark. If their service department matched their sales department, this place would be unmatched. Management really needs to shake things up in this department.

I looked at the vans available for the dates I wanted and the Zion was just what I was looking for. It was the smaller of the standard sizes of Mercedes vans. That was great because I was slightly apprehensive about driving a larger van. (After driving the Zion, I feel I would be OK with the larger 170 inch wheel base vans.) The rental price was very reasonable considering that the van was essentially my home for three days. The van was well equipped and very comfortable. I enjoyed my three days and showing the van to my friends.

They gave us information on things we didn't even know to ask. We were able to look at and sit in most of the floor plans they offer, really helping us to understand the different options of "furniture" placement. We left the open house feeling confident that we would be making the best choice by going with Scenic Vans. A week later I was able to do a consultation with two of the owners, mocking up different options for van builds. I left that appointment having complete understanding of what we will be paying when we do our build. They are in the process of helping us get the best deal on the van we will do the build in. A conversion van purchase isn't a small purchase. We are in a season of life change, waiting for our retirement date, but can't wait to have new adventures in a van Scenic will build for us. I paid a lot of money upfront for an inspection that I was told would completely go through the camper to make sure it was all good to go. However it is now in the shop having an entire wall rebuilt because it was not manufactured properly. Like a whole wall on a brand new piece of equipment. It's had leaks, it's had molding fall off, it's had minor things but a whole wall? I've asked of if I can get my inspection fees reimbursed but am told I need to contact sales or financing... like why do I need to make a bunch of calls when you can throw a pen to the sales guys desk??? The office is Small. Whenever I ask why all this is happening I'm just about the crappy California road and how my camper is an earth quake on wheels. However I'm pretty sure it has wheels for a reason!!!!! It's suppose to go down the road. Good thing gmc doesn't use those excuses no one would buy their trucks. My advice.... Don't buy new! It's not worth it. Or maybe just don't buy highland ridge! In no world is it ok to buy brand new stuff that then needs to be rebuilt, and all you get is a bunch of lame excuses but no compensation!

But after researching a bit, wow. Beautiful show room with hand picked luxury autos. Raul, the salesman was informative and not pushy. When I found a nice car, he took a small deposit and arranged an inspection. Marin Toyota refused to allow a deposit or an outside inspection, why? Prestige was the best experience I've ever had purchasing a car. Fantastic. Worth the drive.

Their rental extras are great (bike rack, tables). Great customer service. They allow us to drop off the RV on Labor Day while other companies are closed. Their new location is great and conveniently located near a propane refill station. They've also refunded our cleaning deposit for doing the interior cleaning on our own. Overall a really great experience and we plan to continue using them in them in the future!

Surprising because although the contract clearly states we would lose our $500 deposit, management informed us that they would be refunding it. We didn't even ask. Be rest assured that you will be in good hands with Elijah RVs.
