Just stopped in at this location to look at a tiny home they had on site. Richard Moczygemba came out to see if we needed anything, but we did let him know we were just taking a quick look and not looking to buy just yet. With knowing our purchasing intentions, Richard still was attentive and friendly through the entire visit. Richard answered all our questions and showed us various RVs just so we could get a better ideal of what we were truly looking for. From our recent experience with Blue Compass in Rockport, take my advice and DO NOT let them work on your RV. It took them over 100 days to fix our RV and there were other customers that had been there 4-5 months ahead of us. While our RV was there at least 4 employees quit and 3 were fired. That we know of. This means that one tech may start work on your RV and someone else that may or may not be qualified will put it back together. We did find that most of the employees generally desired a good relationship with customers, but the management was atrocious. I requested that the service manager Chris Koliba call me and I'm still waiting for that call. Our experience was so frustrating that after 3 years of RV'ing we decided to sell the RV. Yes, it was that bad. This brought us into contact with the General Manger Russell Smith whom we inquired about selling or consigning our RV with Blue Compass. After this interaction I wouldn't have sold my RV to them if they had offered full retail value and that's why we drove all the way to Houston and sold it there. During this process I encountered several other locals that also had a negative experience with Blue Compass, Rockport, so I don't think it was just us. So, if you're getting repairs or even buying, my recommendation is to go someplace else. It is my understanding that Russell Smith is the manager of the Corpus Christi store too, so it may be just as bad there. read more

This place has all places, nowadays, changes ownership and personnel faster than you can keep up. I have still yet to use my RV. It has been at their facility longer than I've had it at my house with excuses lack of knowledge and continuously changing personnel is very difficult to get anything accomplished at this facility, and I think that would be the same with all of these tight places read more

The parts department has rudest and most snotty women working the "service" desk. Do not expect a smile, a helpful attitude or politeness. I should have known not to visit again after price gouging the first time. read more

I wasn't happy with this place. I came in looking for some trailer service and maintenance. As soon as I walked in, I was referred to this guy at the service desk. As soon as I walked up to his desk, he looks at me, gets up and disappears into the back of the place. I stand around and wait, and wait and wait... The other ladies behind the desk asked, "Did he help you already?" "Nope! Still waiting..." They say, "Well, he'll be done soon." I keep waiting, and waiting. Waiting and waiting. Fifteen minutes later, I was getting tired of waiting. I then got on the phone, and saw that there are other RV places nearby. I got on the phone while in their showroom, making calls to other RV places in town, asking if they are able to make the repairs I'm looking in a timely manner. I called their competitors in front of the girls at the front desk, who kept to themselves while I made calls looking for help. I get one of their competitors on the phone who confirmed they could perform the task immediately, and I was out. Their prices on their equipment were overpriced anyhow. read more

I had an issue with my Class B motor home driving from Austin to Port Aransas. I looked up the closest Blue Compass Dealership on the way to Port A, and Explore USA RV was the one identified. I called and spoke to Brianna. Brianna was helpful and guided me through the process prior to my arrival. Once I arrived, I made contact with Brianna who was just as friendly in person. She had the perfect customer service etiquette answering all my questions. The technician who made the repair - by the way in less than 15 minutes was also very helpful and apparently very knowledgeable about replacing the damaged part in a timely manner. My entire downtime was less than 30 minutes, this helped me get to the ferry in time to avoid the traffic coming in for the Memorial Day Holiday. Kudos to all! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! They are absolutely the worst place I have ever dealt with. Their service department is a joke and their manager is a total idiot. When our RV was delivered it had a broken cabinet, the entire duct system was disconnected and the hose would not even reach the unit to connect, YET THEY SAY THEY GO THROUGH EVERYTHING AND THATS WHY IT TAKES 2 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY! LIE! LIE!! So far after one week our hot water heater went out, refused to correct the duct system, two a/c units have never worked properly and now the compressor is gone in all 3, the door was damaged yet they never told us, they just caulked. Bathroom light panel already burnt out, and now the awning doesn't extend, motor probably gone too. Their reply is call the warranty company and we all know how that story goes. Don't be a fool like us, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! read more

I would give zero stars if possible. They "repaired" our camper in an insurance claim. It took them forever and apparently they did not complete the work as it leaked!! They had not sealed all the joints. We took it back assuming any reputable place would fix the issues. It took them over 4 months to even tell us what all needed done. We got the quote and it was over 1/2 what we owe on the camper, with no credit given for their original faulty work. We asked them to release it to us. Since we did not have them do any work, they charged us for the quote $1200! We took it somewhere else and they fixed it for 1/4 of the price. AND the new place found other things that had to have been done by a mechanic as we would not know how to do it and they would have caused us to keep paying for more repairs... I.e, disconnected a slide on the opposite end of the camper from where the work was being done. This made slide stay in while others worked. read more

ZERO Stars! This is the worst place we've ever dealt with. My husband and I purchased a brand new fifth wheel and picked it up on the 24th. Drove straight to the RV park10 minutes away and set it up. The main bedroom slideout broke, literally partially in and partially out of the unit. We were told to call roadside assistance at $250 for the service call. Long story short, we're now up to SIX issues with the unit, the service manager acted like we were idiots, and our salesman literally hid from us. We got herded out of the sales department by some guy who wouldn't even let us stay in the building. I'm now having to deal with Keystone directly because we can't get any response or even a courtesy call from these people. We're talking to lawyers right now. Three of the four slide outs have issues, as well as the dining room slideout in rusted underneath. Wiring is backwards one one of the slide outs. They failed to tell us of their issue with one of the slides before we took possession of the unit. Run, don't walk, to another rv center. read more

This is a horrible place of business the entire staff is disrespectful to include the management. My RV was at this place for almost four months and the problem still wasn't fixed. This place charged me outrageous diagnostic fees for seeing if the warranty they sale would cover certain items that were wrong with my coach like a screw missing. When I got my RV home the slide that they said was fixed still wasn't working and the fluid for the jack stands which they worked on was extremely low. They told me I could go to any auto parts store and buy the fluid they were supposed to replace. When I told them the slide out was not working they said they would have the manager call me back. He never did. Called to speak to him for an entire week and he nor the general manger would call me back. One of the service reps even hung up on me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Service department could never give me the right information or they gave me false information. I had to take my RV to another place and pay for the repairs out of my own pocket . I would give a negative five stars if I could. read more

Bought a 3 year old (used) but reputable name rv from this place. First RV ever so we had no idea what we were getting into but asked a lot of questions. During the purchase, we gave a list of items to check and if needed service. After 2 months of them supposedly servicing we were told that all were in working order (then later - no service was needed) and "good to go" we drove off the lot. 30 minutes later started having hydraulic issues. Here are just a few things that we had to fix - Refrigerator (new fan was needed and it was not fastened down so it damaged the wall across from it), hydraulics - 2 rams (were leaking - being newbies we did not know that the fluid in there should have been different, but it is clearly not the correct and a key that someone had added it, also the underbelly insulation was full of it), bad keys so needed locksmith to open, Air Conditioner can't keep up, central vacuum needed new relay board to work, fireplace did not work had to replace, tank sensors (and tanks were grouse), led lights on awning did not work, and still troubleshooting the inverter. They have lied on everything and to get my plates took 6 months, state law is 45 days. They never call you back and the manager just does not care. Our first salesman quit in the middle of the transaction and the second that took over quit after it. The service manager is ridiculously irresponsible, he could not keep up with anything. We asked to have things done that we were told they were completed and then we showed up and he said that the coach had not even been in the service shop yet. SO we left it there another 3 weeks. I could go on and on, just save yourself the bad experience and do not go there! read more
