The shop itself is quite spacious with booth and low top seating options! Its so colorful without being overpowering, with cute murals. The workers here were also extremely nice offering us samples and bringing out our milkshake which was so kind. I got a waffle cone with a scoop of cereal milk and birthday cake. And wow! Birthday cake stole the show for me, large chunks of tender vanilla cake mixed with sprinkles and creamy ice cream. I will have to go back for a pint I highly recommend!! The cereal milk was definitely a 10/10 replica of frosted flakes cereal milk. Delicious. The blueberry goat cheese, DELICIOUS!! It wasn't too tart but had an amazing balance of flavors. One of my favorites HAD TO BE the brown buttered pecan. Wow!! 1000000/10!!! Wait, the banana pudding was on that same level, 1000000/10!!! Cookies & Cream was the winner of the night for me, and even though this ice cream shop is far from where I live, I would drive back for this flavor alone. Excited to see a new ice cream option in Short Pump and it's a solid option. The indoor is cute and colorful. We walked in to the scent of fresh waffle cones, which smells amazing! The staff was friendly and we sampled a few items, but didn't end up choosing those. I opted for a cone of banana pudding ice cream. I enjoyed it, with pieces of vanilla wafers. I haven't had that flavor in ice cream before. My girls didn't like it, but they don't like banana pudding either. One of my girls got cookies and cream and the other dark chocolate with raspberry swirls. I thought they were both decent. Prices were reasonable and I like the option of a mini, which was plenty big. Here's the problem. It's just not as good or as cute as Gelati Celesti, which sets the bar and is right down the street. read more

An awesome addition to Greengate! This was my first time having Blue Cow and I loved it. They had at least 5 flavors I wanted to try, whereas I normally am only intrigued by 2-3 at other places. There's definitely something for everyone. They also have a 4-flavor flight option. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to try any flavors we wanted. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the entire place is super clean. Prices are on par with other ice cream shops though the portions here might be slightly bigger. read more

My experience was colder than their ice cream. Went there with my family. An employee came from the back, walked to the counter and just stood there and looked at us with a RBF. No greeting or hello so I just proceeded to ask for a sample. I ended up trying two flavors and then got their blue cow patty. The ice cream melted immediately and ice cream was soft. The prices were fair for the area, and you have the option for toppings, cone, cup, float, or shake. They even have some vegan/non dairy flavors and gluten free cones. The Strawberry Balsamic had strong hints of coconut which was off putting. Cooke Dough had a strong peanut aftertaste. I have had ice cream here twice. The first time was a good experience. The second time not so much, and I probably won't be returning, unless they change their staff. Reading the reviews I realize I'm not the only ones who felt and was treated very rudely by the two employees at this location. It's hard to understand them, they have no manners. The one who made my cone, gave me a melted scoop of ice cream which was dripping on my hands as she gave it to me. They stuffed the scoop so far down Into our other order of waffle cone that you almost had to eat half the waffle cone to get to your ice cream. It was a regular one scoop ice cream. So they have good flavors but their management needs to take note of their employees or else they will loose business. read more
