Stopped here for lunch while spending the day at the beach, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The loaded nachos were huge and loaded with toppings definitely enough to share. I also got the frozen key lime pie drink, and it was so good definitely perfect for a hot beach day. I'll say the food is pretty good rating it a 7/10 and drinks 8/10. The best part, though, is the view. Sitting just steps from the water with the blue umbrellas, ocean breeze, and white sand made the whole experience even better. It was really hard to get help here, glad we caught Mohamed he was nice and helped us out when everyone else passed us by or overlooked us. The food was really mediocre here unfortunately because they are right in the middle of the 2 pools at the Hilton and the beach. The drinks are mediocre as well, seemed really watered down. Our last day there we got Alexis and she finally made us some good drinks! Again, the drinks are decent, might take a few to get you going though. Conclusion: hit or miss good luck. read more

I think I heard a rumor that Barefoot's is only allowing Hilton guests to dine there at the moment, but I'm not sure how true that is. That being said, if you have the chance to grab a beachside lunch or dinner here, consider yourself lucky! This place is beyond great. I recently stayed at the Hilton Sandestin resort so we landed at Barefoot's several times. To start, the views are absolutely incredible. It's located right on the ocean and in between two gorgeous pools, so the location really can't be beat. There's a walkway down to the sand if you want to wander around with your frozen drink of choice, and it is just such a fun place to spend some time. For drinks, they have a huuuuuge menu of frozen, tropical choices. The alcohol in those seems pretty limited, so order something of your own if you're looking for more. The margarita is pretty good but I stuck to vodka sodas most of the time. The food is actually really good! Over the week I was at the resort, I tried the cheeseburger, the chicken salad, the nachos, and more. Our family was a little obsessed with the nachos -- I may have thought about them several times since we've left Florida. Service is great, the food is excellent, and the ocean views are just stellar. I hope to be back on my next trip! read more

When we were cashing out, they asked our room # we said we were paying with card, and he said I still need room #. When we said we weren't staying there just wanted to grab lunch he seemed frustrated/annoyed. It's not a busy time so I would have thought they'd welcome any business. read more

We could of sat a Barefoot's Beachside Bar the whole trip. Between the ocean view, pool access, my personal favorite drinks in the area, and my favorite bartenders we met all weekend. Those bartenders hold it down. They can take care of long lines in minutes. The fried shrimp was amazing and the strawberry daiquiris are just what you imagine. Some of these other beach bars didn't have whip cream for daiquiris!! That's a no-no. Barefoot has plenty of whip cream. My boyfriend also really appreciated being able to watch the Masters all weekend of their screen. He may start coming down their every year for the Masters now read more

If you have no other food options, I guess you can settle for this casual restaurant located inside the hotel. The chairs are uncomfortable and the wicker material leaves marks on your skin after sitting for only 5 minutes.. Where's the cushions? Food- I ordered a seared tuna salad The seared it with butter! The only plus side is that they use real green salad not iceberg! And I should hope when your paying $15. I wish they would have a better selection of cocktails using FRESH ingredients! We came to Sandestin Hilton last year and truly enjoyed it. We've been looking for an opportunity to go back and it looks like that's happening in the next couple of weeks. One of the highlights is Barefoot's. We prefer to dine outside anytime we get the opportunity and Barefoot's didn't disappoint. Yes, it was crowded when we went there, but we found a great place to hunker down with a view of the beach and once we were settled in we were well taken care of. The food was surprisingly really good. For it being more of a hotel restaurant that's pumping out thousands of orders a day, we didn't expect much. Right off the beach is some pretty good fish tacos and seafood. After spending as day at the beach we didn't really feel like leaving it to get food. The staff was friendly and the food was nice and fresh. After a nice relaxing meal back to the beach it held us over till dinner back in town. We loved finding this place on the beach. It is part of the Hilton, but nevertheless it was a great find. We had chilled and steamed shrimp and they were great. The drinks were great. The bartender, Stephen, was so nice and he was very helpful. We came back the next day and the kids had Virgin drinks. He was great with them as well. This place is located in the Hilton resort and is absolutely attrocious. I ordered a shrimp & crab salad that described a seafood concoction layered over cherry tomatoes and lettuce. For $19, I got romaine lettuce, maybe 1/5 of a cup of crab that tastes like it's from a can, 8 shrimp covered in mayo, layered on 4 cherry tomatoes. It was disgusting. I'm sitting here now. I should be grateful to be sitting; it only took over 20 minutes for someone to notice us, even though the staff walked past our party of 4 dozens of times. We finally took initiative and found our own table. But it was dirty, so we waited another 15 minutes for it to be cleaned. We stood by the table while the servers ignored us yet again. Then there was the issue with the chairs. There were only 3 dirty chairs at a 4-top, so after another 10 minutes of standing and cleaning our own chairs, a neighboring table kindly offered her chair to us. Because clearly the servers here didn't give a hoot about something so basic as sitting for a meal. On to the menus. For a party of 4, the server gave us 1. And a cocktail menu too, but we were only here for lunch. We ordered a slew of items from our single menu. It's been almost 50 min now. The crab and corn soup is all that has been delivered at the moment ... but it's more accurately described as chopped bacon soup. To their credit, it's piping hot. But I didn't want or ask for pork soup with a hint of crab. We were told a long time ago the rest of the food would be "right out." Glad these guys aren't first responders. I'll let you know soon how the rest of the food was. If we see it today... Ok, the food finally arrived. The salad was generous and dressing was tasty. The sandwiches were very basic, not of particularly high quality or gourmet attributes, but acceptable. For that reason, I bumped my rating up by 1 star. Certainly not worth the price, hassle, or wait though. We do not recommend this restaurant until new management is acquired. read more

It's not exactly beachside like the pictures show but more of a poolside restaurant kind of place with a partial view of the beach across the sea of poolside chairs. Getting into Sandestin is kind of a nightmare and I'm not really sure they want people outside the resort to visit. Two security check points and two parking permits to wind up at a poolside hut with a partial view of the beach. It took so long to get through the main gate I almost backed up and left. I wasn't sure if I were going to a casual beach lunch or attending a White House dinner. What is Sandestin so afraid of, not feeling exclusive? If I had reservations to stay here and had dealt with that at check in, it would be my last visit to Sandestin. read more

I have to say I was sad to see such a horrible rating on Yelp! My husband and I just got in... starved and tired we hit up Barefoot's in search of good food and a view and it did NOT disappoint! The menu is extremely gluten free friendly. They have GF buns, bread AND wraps! I had the grilled grouper sandwich on GF bun and it was FANTASTIC!
